What to buy for makeup storage for small spaces

THE BEST MAKEUP STORAGE IDEAS FOR SMALL SPACES

When it comes to makeup, so many brands have pretty cases and designs that look great, so I love to find things like acrylic trays or drawers to help show off those designs!

Gold trays or containers are also a great way to complement the makeup so you can use your makeup as part of your bathroom or bedroom decor!

#1 Acrylic Makeup Organizer

This organizer is great because it has different size drawers and compartments so every item has it’s own space. This is also great if you don’t have a lot of drawer space available and the acrylic looks pretty sitting out on the counter.

There are so many options to fit your products. Try to organize by category (lipsticks in one, eyeshadow palettes in another, etc…) and then you can find the organizers and cases to fit them well.

#2 Mirrored Glass Tray

I love when storage can also double as decor and this mirrored glass tray is just that. Use it to display your every day essentials, perfume or skincare. It looks so pretty on top of a vanity.

Glass tray are so pretty so perfect for leaving out on your vanity or dresser. You can display your perfumes or lipsticks. Add in another small try to store your rings and other jewelry you wear daily.

#3 Clear Drawer Organizers

If you do have access to drawer space, these drawer inserts are great. They easily fit inside of your drawers while making separate slots for all of your products.

You can separate them and mix and match to fit your drawers and your products. They do have ones specific for makeup (more on that below) but I like that these ones can fit anything so you can even use your extra ones in your kitchen or home office.

#4 Makeup Case with Dividers

Even though this is for travel, you can use it at home to easily organize your everyday essentials. We all have things that we use daily and need to find them quickly.

This case has dividers that you can move to fit your products so you can always ensure a perfect fit!

It’s a great idea to keep things separated this way so one case is dedicated to your skincare and one case is dedicated to your makeup. That way you will always know where to go when you are looking for a certain product.

#5 Brush Organizer

Makeup brushes are so important to keep organized and clean. I use a lot of brushes and like to keep my eye makeup brushes separated from my face brushes. I look for organizers that have multiple spaces for that reason.

I do recommend when leaving brushes out that you use on your face to either put them away into a cabinet or use a brush holder with a cover so that dust particles and other things like that don’t land on your brushes. It’s also good to remember to wash your brushes every few weeks!

As you can see I’m a fan of acrylic organizers as they really help display the makeup beautifully. And it also helps so that you can see everything easily. When you have a lot of products, nothing worse is when you can figure out what product is what and having to search for it.

#6 Palette Organizer

This palette organizer is so great and keeps your drawers clutter free! You can vertically store all of your eyeshadow palettes and with the clear design easily grab the one you want to use.

#7 Rotating Makeup Organizer

If you get one product to organize you makeup, this is it. It stacks vertically which takes up the least amount of space and offers so many different compartments to really fit all if your products. It also rotates 360 degrees so you can easily find what you need.

These are just the best when you don’t have a lot of countertop space because these fit so many products. It’s nice that you can see everything and easy to grab as well!

DIY MAKEUP STORAGE IDEAS

There are so many ways to organize your makeup without having to buy anything. You can use old jars and containers to make your own DIY makeup storage.

DIY Brush Holder with Candle Jars

For a quick and easy DIY, clean out a candle jar to hold your brushes. The easiest way to do this is to boil a bot of water with just enough to cover the bottom of the candle jar. Put the jar in and the wax will melt with the heat and then you can pour it out. Be careful as the wax will be hot!

If you have quite a few candle jars gather and glue them together to store your lipsticks and foundations!
