Where to stay in Las Vegas with Kids and Babies

The best Las Vegas Hotel for Kids and Babies

I’ve been to Las Vegas numerous times due to how close the flight is from Seattle. I’ve done multiple girls trips, my bachelorette party and lots of work trips as well.  And as much as I love Vegas, I didn’t consider taking my kids, especially since they are so young.

My oldest just turned 6 and needs to be entertained at all times and my youngest is 10 months and is a typical baby with lots of needs!  I was afraid that Las Vegas would not be a great place for kids or babies but, being that I am always up for an adventure, I booked a last minute vacation and decided to just go for it!

Four Seasons Las Vegas Hotel Review

My sister recently stayed at the Four Seasons Las Vegas and highly recommended it. Because of her, I looked into it and saw that it was one of the few no casino hotels on the Las Vegas strip and it was a non-smoking hotel.  With those two factors, I knew I had to book it for my family.

The hotel is actually connected to Mandalay Bay which meant my husband and I had easy access to the casinos and other entertainment, as well as all of us being able to use the Mandalay Bay pools.

One Bedroom Suite with lots of amenities for kids

I needed to book a larger suite as we were also bringing our nanny.  The 1 bedroom suite provided us with two beds, a crib, 2 bathrooms and a separate living space with a sofa bed.  We could close the door to the rooms, so that our nanny could have her privacy as well.  It was perfect for us but I will say that even if we did not have our nanny with us, I would still book this room. If you know kids, they take up a lot of space and being able to have the space to spread our things around was much appreciated!

Personalized touches for kids

From the moment we walked in, I could already tell that they were well versed in making kids feel welcome to the hotel.  We had bath and body products specifically for the kids, the crib was already set up and there were even teddy bears on our beds! My daughter was truly delighted by all of these!

Necessities for the baby

For my baby, they even had a small basket full of extra diapers and wipes and other things that she may need. I had a requested a kettle in our room to warm the baby’s bottles and it was already in our room waiting for us as well!

Even though it’s a short flight, traveling is still tough with little ones, so to arrive to all of these things in our room was just so nice for all of us.

The bathroom had a large bath, we were able to bathe both girls in it at once. There was also a large shower and vanity/sink area. I never felt cramped in the bathroom even when we had 4 of us in it! The other bathroom was a powder room but still a good size!

We spent a lot of time in our room in between pool time and activities and of course at night but not once did I feel crowded or uncomfortable having 3 adults and 2 kids in one room.

(Note on the blankets: Edie usually sleeps in a sleep sack but my husband couldn’t find it that day so covered her in a swaddle blanket. It was nap time so all the adults were in the room and able to watch her while she slept.)

In room dining at the Four Seasons Las Vegas

One of my favorite parts about staying in a hotel is room service. Breakfast in bed? Yes please! The food was delicious and it always came within about 1/2 hour of ordering which I was impressed by!  I loved that they had a lot of great options beyond just the regular breakfast dishes and even a kids menu.  Layla was excited to get chocolate chip pancakes!

We didn’t end up eating at the restaurants in the hotel but they have two in the hotel that were easy to get to.  I peeked at the menus and they looked delicious, but because we stayed at the hotel most of the day, we decided to venture out for dinner.

The Best Las Vegas Pool for Kids

I knew we would be spending a lot of time at the pool but to be honest, I was a bit worried.  Every other time I’ve been to Las Vegas, the pools were always so crowded with lots of people, both in and out of the pool with loud music.  That’s fine if you are there without kids but with kids, it’s a different story.  Well, I was excited to find that the Four Seasons pool was absolutely perfect for us and I didn’t need to worry at all.

The pool was a nice size and just the right depth so that we could walk around the pool comfortably. I’m only 5’2″ and even though I can swim, I don’t like being in pools where I can’t reach the bottom! We took turns holding the baby or we stayed by the steps and we were at the pool for hours!

Towels were easy to get to and the service was amazing.  They stopped by often enough to check if we needed drinks or anything else.  We ordered lunch there two days in a row and the food was so good!  I loved how versatile the menu was.  I got the ceviche that I was still raving about days later!

They also had fresh water and handed out ice cold fruit skewers for free! It was such a nice touch. Both my daughters loved the frozen pineapples that they kept on asking for more. The server was so nice and just brought us a bowl of them!

There were plenty of lounge chairs both in and out of the shade.  What was even better were the larger circular loungers that had a large canopy that provided plenty of shade.

Edie took a nap there every day while big sis got to stay in the pool and play! It was the perfect set up for us.

They also have cabanas that you can rent.  They looked so nice (I snuck this picture by one) but we didn’t end up renting one this trip.  I think if we go back during a busier time I would definitely get a cabana!

Even though we could have used the pools at Mandalay Bay, I didn’t feel the need to as we just really enjoyed our time at the Four Seasons pool.

Mommy and Me Manicures at Four Seasons Las Vegas

While the baby napped, Layla and I headed down to the spa to get manicures!  They have the Buttercup Manicure listed on their spa services just for kids which I thought was adorable!

Layla had so much fun picking out her colors.  She brought her unicorn down with us to match the colors and found the perfect three colors to use.  Both our manicurists were so nice and I loved listening to Layla chat with hers.

It was such a fun way to spend time together! The spa experience was just like everything else at our stay.  Everyone was so kind and treated us so well.  We’ve traveled a lot as a family this summer and this was the first trip that I actually could relax!

Top 5 tips to enjoying Las Vegas with babies and kids

  • Don’t rent a car: Every hotel in the area is so large with enough food and entertainment within the hotel (and walking distance) so a car is not necessary. We rode the free trams in between hotels and Layla loved that too!
  • Bring your stroller: Everywhere is stroller friendly and elevators are easy to find.
  • Plan shows/activities before your trip: Las Vegas shows and entertainment change often. Whether it’s just for the adults or for the entire family there is plenty to do but I found that by doing my research beforehand I could book the tickets that I wanted and was able to plan our trip better.
  • Book a babysitter so you can enjoy Las Vegas too: As a parent it’s tough to travel with kids and entertain them all day.  You probably also don’t want to be sitting in the room when the kids are asleep and you know that there is so much to do like the casino, shows and shopping.  Even if it’s for one night, I promise you it will be worth it!
  • Keep a loose schedule: Traveling with kids and babies is hard to keep a routine or schedule especially with naps and feedings.  Don’t feel pressured to do everything while you are there.  There is so much to do there that you literally will never get it done in one trip! Just pick the few must sees/dos and plan to do one a day.

I will be sharing another post about all the family friendly shows and activities that we did on our trip!
