Where to find Kid Friendly Halloween Decorations

We love Halloween at our house, getting dressed up, decorating the house, greeting trick or treaters, it’s all so much fun! My daughter loves Halloween but not a fan of the scary party of Halloween so I’m always searching for fun and cute ways to decorate our house.

I wanted to find halloween items that both my one year old and 6 year old could enjoy.

Halloween Costumes and Decorations at Party City

I headed to Party City and found such a great selection of costumes as well as really cute and kid friendly halloween decorations!

There was so much to choose from that were kid friendly and so cute. I loved the little ghost and the sparkly pumpkin and ghost garland!

They also had a lot of fun halloween decorations for your front doors and windows so you can decorate your whole house!

I wanted to keep the decorations simple but fun. An easy tip to decorating for the holidays is to stick with a color theme. Obviously with halloween you will want black and orange but I wanted to add some other color like green and purple to go with our playroom.

Halloween decorating for kids

Let your kids be part of the decorating process and they will love it! Layla helped put together the decorations and helped me decide where to put them.

The bright colors matched our playroom so it looked great but it also added the perfect halloween touch. I didn’t want to go too heavy on the decorations so we kept them to a section of the playroom but that worked out great for us as the girls would go over and play but also leave the halloween items there.

I loved the hanging bouquet but since my girls are so little, they wanted to be able to touch and feel everything so we kept them on the shelves so that they could interact with them. It made them so fun and they are so lightweight so it’s perfect for kids to play with.

As you can see, Layla loves Halloween! These decorations are really making us so excited for Halloween!

I loved shopping at Party City for all our Halloween decor. Everything I got was under $10! and I love that everything is reusable so I can put them away and use them next year as well! it was really easy to shop in store, but I also noticed a lot of great online only options as well.

I will be headed back to Party City for Halloween costumes for the whole family. They have such a great selection for everyone. I haven’t yet decided if we are going to do a family themed costume yet but I love that I can buy everything there!

It’s just such a great stop for Halloween as you can get all your decorations, costumes and even candy there! As a busy mom I’m sure you know how hectic it can be to go from store to store looking for different things so I love that I can get everything there! My kids are so looking forward to Halloween and I love being able to decorate and make it fun for them!
