Our newest addition: Edessa Rose

Our darling baby girl #2 arrived on October 16th and we all are so in love!  Edessa Rose arrived at 39 weeks (to my relief as I was so ready to have her out of my belly!) at 6lbs, 2oz and 20 inches.  I’ve been so much better this time around to take time for myself and for baby so that we could adjust to a schedule (somewhat) and deal with some feeding/latching issues.  It’s been the most wonderful 2.5 weeks and I am loving every moment.

Even though I’ve been taking photos like crazy, I haven’t been sharing too much to my social media.  I really just want to enjoy this time without having to think about taking photos for instagram.  Which is also why it’s taken 2.5 weeks to post these to my blog! But I’m so excited to introduce Edie to my blog and of course big sister who has been loving her new role and adores her baby sister.

It’s been an amazing transition from bringing baby Edie home and Layla has been the BEST big sister.  I think the 5 year age difference and also with Layla’s personality of always wanting to be super helpful just has made this transition super easy for all of us.  She was born to be a big sister and has had zero issues of jealousy even when I spend all day nursing Edie.  I’m just so proud of her and can’t wait to see the two of them grow up together.

Thank you to those of you who read my blog and those of you who have been following along since my wedding!  It’s always amazing hearing from you guys who have been reading for awhile now.  I love hearing about all your weddings and births of your kiddos too!  I’m so happy to have this little space on the internet to share my journey and to connect with so many women too.  Thank you for letting me share!
