When it comes to dressing my family for any special occasion, I like to be intentional with what I choose for each family member.
We typically take family photos on holidays, so I do like to coordinate our outfits whether it be with similar color palettes or styles.
And when it comes to Thanksgiving, comfort is the ultimate goal for everyone in the family.
A comfy outfit is essential for turkey day (hello pumpkin pie!), but I also find it essential as Thanksgiving is typically an all day occasion and both myself, my husband as well as our little kids need to be comfortable to enjoy all of the festivities.
Thanksgiving Outfits for Moms
When it comes to dressing myself, I like to stick to neutrals and avoid anything that is too constricting.
I typically like to avoid jeans and bodysuits on this day. If I am in need of something more casual I opt for leggings or a maxi flowy dress.
Over the knee and knee-high boots are the perfect accessory for your Thanksgiving outfit!
They look so cute with so many items (skirts, maxi dresses, leggings, etc.!) and work best for cooler weather as well.
I love the color of this maxi dress and this is something that looks so stylish but is extremely functional to wear during all of the festivities.
Maxi dresses look great with all different kinds of shoes so you can switch it up depending on your plans, and if it is colder outside you can top it with a long coat or a puffer jacket.
A cute oversized sweater, faux leather leggings and ugg boots is the perfect outfit for a Fall day and is so comfy for Thanksgiving.
You could easily dress this same outfit up with booties or heels and some statement earrings.

For my husband, the simpler the better when it comes to finding an outfit for him.
Here is a casual outfit idea that would work for most dinner settings, and a formal Thanksgiving dinner outfit idea incase if you are heading somewhere more fancy!

You can’t go wrong with a great pair of jeans, a flannel and some nice sneakers. Whether you’re playing football outside with the kids or hosting dinner at home, this outfit works for both.

When it comes to a more formal look for men, I like a pair of dark pants and a sleek pullover sweater. It is simple and sophisticated, paired with a great pair of boots that will be comfortable all day.

Thanksgiving Outfits for Kids
When dressing my girls, I like to stick to comfortable outfits they can play in that would also look great in family photos all together.
My girls and I love coordinating our looks, and matching your little girls dress to yours is such an easy way to feel cohesive and ensure that they are comfortable too!
Whether it be the exact same dresses, matching a similar print, or sticking to a color palette, these combinations make for the perfect thanksgiving day outfits.
