Mini Bags
What is it about making things mini that makes me want them even more? I’m loving all the designer purses that comes in mini sizes these days
I was flipping through the J Crew catalog and came across the Girl’s bags that are adorable and I totally would carry them. Obviously they aren’t something you can take into the office but just for fun, I think they are perfect to add to a casual outfit. Loving the mini Edie bag and the crossbody strap. The darling overnighter is perfect for the quick trips that hubs and I take when we go down to Portland or to see his parents. And the mini tote is like my very much used LV Neverfull except mini sized!
Saks Designer Sale
Finally! Saks has their designer sale online. I’m trying to make the tough decisions as to what to actually buy. Luckily with the code HOLIDAY it’s free shipping and returns so I am getting a few things and seeing how they work out.
As you can expect, things are selling out fast but here are what I have my eye on.
I’m doing my crazy shopping this morning to make sure I don’t miss out on anything and I saw that SSENSE already has a ton of designer stuff on sale! (I believe most retailers won’t be starting the sale until 11/23 or 11/28 depending on the brand.) I have ordered from SSENSE before and they are a reputable retailer. One thing to note, they are based in Canada and you’ll be charged a foreign transaction fee on your credit card, but hey no tax so you still save!
All these bags and more are on sale. Looks like it’s ranging from 20% to 30% off regular prices. You’ll also get free shipping with code FREESHIPWW.
They also have some YSL Tribtoos and Arty rings on sale! (I’m wearing mine today!)

OK, I’m really getting off the computer to go start cooking now! Happy Thanksgiving!
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you probably already saw that I checked out the designer shoe pre-sale at Nordstrom so wanted to share my picks and also what else is going on sale. My SA told me the details but I forgot them so the basics that I know is that some of the brands are going on sale 11/23 and some of the brands are going on sale a week later. They still do not have the list for Chanel and Louboutin but if you go to Nordstrom, they will be able to show you the pre-sale list for the other designers.

These were my picks from the sale.

My advice to you if you can not get to Nordstrom to do a pre-sale is to stalk them online. Save the links to your bookmarks and on 11/23 click on over to try and catch them on sale! Oh and the shoes range from 33% – 40% off their regular price.
Click through for more sale, lots of pics!
These styles will also be going on sale:

I forgot to take more pics (too excited by all the sales!) but from what I remember, these are also going on sale.

In the front is the Marc Jacobs Whitney, Chloe Marcie Animation and Chloe small crossbody
These two were my picks. I got the blue Marc Jacobs on pre-sale but not sure about it yet. I love the Chloe Marcie but since I already have one, I decided not to get it. It looks a bit blue in this picture but it’s more of an off-black.

If you’ve never done pre-sale before, it just means that they’ll hold the merchandise for you until the actual sale date. They’ll then charge your card and you can pick it up on or after that date. So it basically just secures you that you’ll get what you want without battling the crowds. Most of the time, I still go to the store the day of the store as sometimes my SA can’t find my size of a certain shoe that I like but then it will randomly pop up during the sale date so it’s always good to check!
I’ve done a few posts/videos on how to care for your shoes and handbags and I mainly still use the same products. Now that it’s becoming rainy season again, it’s really important to remember to re-spray your leather and suede so that it’s protected from the weather.

I do get a lot of questions regarding leather care and I’m really not an expert either so am always looking out for good tips. I recently got these leather care tips from Professional Leather Cleaners Association and thought they were helpful so wanted to pass them along. This is helpful for all your leather goods; clothes, shoes and handbags.

Leather ages gracefully and can last a lifetime with the proper care right from the start;
- Always hang leather garments on wide or padded hangers to maintain their shape. Use shoetrees in footwear and stuff empty handbags with tissue to help retain their shape.
- Never store leather goods in plastic or other non-breathable covers. This will cause leather to become dry.
- Allow wet or damp leather to air-dry naturally away from any direct heat source. Leather can be treated with a conditioner to restore flexibility while suede can be brushed with a terry towel to restore its look.
- In winter, promptly remove salt deposits from garments and footwear by sponging with water; follow with the above treatment for wet or damp leather.
- Avoid very humid and dry environments as well as direct sunlight.
- Do not use waxes, silicone products or other leather preparations that will impair a garment’s ability to breathe.
- Wrinkles should hang out. If ironing is desired, set iron on rayon setting, use heavy brown wrapping paper as a pressing cloth on right side of the garment and a quick hand to prevent overheating and shine.
- Avoid spraying perfumes or hair sprays while wearing your garment and do not apply pins, adhesive badges or tape. Wearing a scarf at the neckline will help keep hair and body oil away from the collar.
- Hems may be fixed with a tiny amount of rubber cement. For best results, see a leather care professional.
- All products formulated for at-home use should be tested on an inconspicuous part of the garment.

Hopefully some of these tips help! I know how important it is since we tend to spend a good amount on our leather items so want to keep them looking great for a long time.
The products that I use and recommend are the Garde’ Rain & Stain Repellant which does a great job of protecting from the rain. Just remember to re-spray your items every few months or so or depending on how bad the weather is when you took it out. And to keep it looking like new I use the Apple Brand – Leather Conditioner Care which I’ve used on most all my bags and shoes and it definitely cleans them up and keeps them pretty looking!
I did some research on The Purse Forum and it looks like a lot of the Chanel girls recommend the Meltonian Leather Lotion. I haven’t used it myself yet but based on TPF recommendations it definitely seems like a good one to use as well.
This post is not sponsored, just thought it would be helpful!
Prada or Proenza?
But then there is something about the PS1 Keep All that I just love! I think it would be a great work bag too.
And then I was looking around at Miu Miu bags and found this tote in
lots of pretty colors. Unfortunately I don’t have a Miu Miu store near
me (or any store that carries Miu Miu) so I haven’t seen it in person
and don’t know how it looks on but I adore my Miu Miu bow bag and the leather they use is always super soft so I’m tempted to order it.
And then just for fun, I saw that Proenza Schouler has these wallets in all these colors and for less than $200, I thought it was a good price considering most designer items, even their wallets are well into the hundreds. It looks like the perfect pouch to keep my credit cards and keys when I don’t feel like bringing my entire wallet. I often don’t travel with my entire wallet in case something happens, you don’t want to have to report all your cards lost/stolen so I just bring what I need. Plus I can use it as a mini clutch when I go out at night and don’t want to carry a bag. Double duty, love it!
