I got this lace top at Ann Taylor (it’s super marked down now!) and have been pairing it with everything. I don’t know why I didn’t have a basic lace top before but glad I do now! I love our new line of skirts and I’m not just saying that because it’s our design! I adore how it poofs out just right and of course the stripes! Just a fun fact: It’s so hard to find the right size stripe on the right kind of fabric that this is custom made for us at our factory. Same with our polka dot fabric! You would think that stripes and dots would be easy to come by but it certainly isn’t!
We had a bit of a sunny streak last week so spent one afternoon taking photos for t+j Designs. We took advantage of the beautiful weather and headed to the waterfront to take more photos and just had to grab some photos with the gorgeous Seattle background.
I have a weakness for shoes and when I see a pair that I love, I kind of obsess about them until I get them. But one thing about me is that I rarely buy my designer shoes at full price. I mean let’s be honest, $700 for a pair of shoes is CRAZY. I wait until the designer shoe sale (one in the winter and one in the spring) and buy all my shoes at 40% off. (tip: they start at 40% off and then wait another 4-6 weeks or and then they end up at around 60% off) And lucky for me a lot of the shoes that I’ve fallen in love with I’ve been able to get on sale (another tip: it helps to have a good sales person who looks out for your size!). Sure it’s still expensive and you have to wait until the end of the season but for someone that loves shoes as much as I do, I have to wait for the sales to afford all the pretties that I own.
However, there are a few instances where I just can not wait until sale season (when I’m pretty positive that my size will go or that style will never go on sale) and I feel like I need them NOW. Which happened just recently with these Manolos. I spotted them at Nordstrom, tried them on and decided I never wanted to take them off my feet!
They are very similar to the popular “BB pump” which I have and love but I think this one is a bit more of a sexier shoe with a lower cut. I’m crazy about the lace, I think it’s just such a gorgeous detail and then the cap toe, I mean, it’s just my perfect shoe. I’ve really been into the pointy toes lately so these just fit everything that I wanted in a shoe. I also have to say that I think they are actually very comfy and easy to walk in which I’ve found with my other Manolos.

What I’m Wearing SheInside Blouse – I love the girly details of this blouse. I’ve had pretty good luck thus far with my SheInside blouses, I also love this mint blouse and pretty lace blouse. Ebay Tulle Skirt – I was on a hunt for a tulle skirt for awhile (I thought it might be cute to wear with a baby bump but I may be re-thinking that now. ha!) and could not find one in a decent price range until I randomly decided to look Ebay and there it was for cheap! The quality actually isn’t that bad and it fits great so if you are looking for a tulle skirt, I highly recommend getting it from there! I just saw that ModCloth has one for a good price and is a lot poofier than mine. Manolo Blahnik Pumps – Mine have sequins on them which make them a bit fancy but I still wear them all the time. Maybe it’s the baby girl growing inside of me but I’m feeling extra girly these days 🙂 I know a tulle skirt isn’t the most practical of items but after seeing a few pictures on pinterest of girls wearing them, I just had to have one!

Lisette L pants c/o (I’m wearing style #801 in B&W dots) – These pants are a bit different in that they are made with body shaping fabric and they are a pull on design so no zippers or buttons. They are supposed to slim the lower abdomen, contour the hips and shape the behind. I’m wearing the size 0 and to be honest, it didn’t do much for me. Trust me, I do need help in the abdomen area and I do love shapewear but these were still a bit baggy for me so wasn’t able to do it’s job. If they made them in a smaller size, I think I would love them! I definitely could feel the difference in the fabric and that it gave it a gentle squeeze in the areas that we most need them. I just needed the right size but otherwise, I think the concept of the pants are fantastic! Also, these are their cropped length but they are too long for me so I rolled them under twice. haha, I’m so short! Manolo Blahnik pumps – I’m all about the pointy toes now. What I’m Wearing * LC Lauren Conrad Boyfriend Blazer (c/o Kohl’s) – I told you I wear these blazers a lot. This is my typical lazy Sunday outfit so I reach for them almost every weekend. The Lauren Conrad stuff is so cute. I recently bought this Chiffon Blazer that’s even more gorgeous in person. I’ll have a lookbook soon with it. * Jennifer Lopez Foil Tank (c/o Kohl’s) – you know how some tanks end up really wrinkly and don’t look so great under blazers? This one is a little bit stiffer so you don’t get the weird wrinkles. There’s a hint of shimmer to it but not too much so it’s great for daytime.
*Blank NYC Skinny Jeans (on sale) – they just got in these jeans in metallic coated! I’m intrigued, going to try them out.
*Light as a Feather Scarf(gift from Happy Scarf) – comes in black too. I love the pattern of this scarf and it’s so light and soft. I wore it a ton this winter but it’s also light enough to wear in the spring.
*Manolo Blahnik sequin pumps – (similar in black and in metallic) these are the ones that I got at Century 21 that you saw in my March Photos post. I thought that I might not wear them so much because of the sequins but actually the sequins make them even more appealing to wear them a ton!
