I very rarely wear a lot of logo-ed type stuff and I actually look more at the style/design than any logos so if I love the style of something but it has logos on it, unless it detracts from it, I have no problem at all with the logos. There is a line of being “tacky” with logos or just wearing something because you like the design. Anyway, moving on…I was given this scarf as a gift from a friend (thank you! I love it!) and I wanted to wear it and really, I just loved the color scheme of the dark gray and red. It’s such a pretty pairing.

I’m wearing a silk J Crew blouse underneath the scarf that you can’t really see but I love it a lot. The silly thing was that I cooked breakfast in it the other day and I got a big spot of oil on it. WAH! I was so sad. I haven’t had much luck with silk + stains, I really hope the dry cleaners can get it out.
Everyone needs a white blazer, they are so versatile! I also really like this tuxedo blazer. A little bit different but how pretty is this lace jacket?
I love to wear silk blouses under my blazers especially for work. Tucked into black pants it’s always an easy go-to outfit. This navy one would be great too or this one is perfect and it looks a lot more expensive than the price!

You know I love my booties, not only are they totally cute and go with everything, they are really comfy too! I used to not be a bootie kind of girl but I’ve discovered that the lower ankle booties work better on my shorty legs (they don’t cut my legs off like the true ankle booties). You could also go for a classic black pair like these Pour La Victoire bootie. Or these DVF lace up booties are SO cute. (and 50% off!)
I love to add a bit of color with scarves and you can’t go wrong with the classic Alexander McQueen skull scarf. This rose print scarf from Madewell is also really pretty. I can go either way with scarves, expensive or cheap I don’t care as long as I like the pattern. This pink scarf is really cute and only $9.99!
Glad to finally reveal my new (to me) Chanel bag! It’s vintage and I love that it’s a style that not many people have or that you see very often.

I’m usually a big bag kind of girl since I carry so much stuff with me but I recently decided that I wanted to start carrying smaller size bags. I’ve also really been into cross body bags so when I saw this clutch with a removable shoulder strap, I just had to get it to try out my new “small bag” idea. There definitely is some getting used to not having all my lotions and potions that I usually carry with me but the best part about having a small bag? Not having to share your chair with it! I hate putting my bag on the floor so when I go to a restaurant I always share a chair with my bag (or I try to get a table with an extra chair for my bag) so with big bags, sharing a chair means I have little room to sit. With the clutch, I have the whole chair to myself!

You’ve seen (half of) this outfit before in my hair curling video, so if you thought it looked familiar, that’s why! The cardigan is actually lace but you can’t see it very well in these pictures. I like that it still kind of showed the pattern underneath. What a good Target buy! Both the rings are gifts from the hubs, he picked both of them out without any help from myself and I love them both. I like wearing multiple rings on one hand but I can’t do more than 2 at a time. I’ve seen people do 4 fingers which I think looks cool on them but on me, it just looks strange.
I love all my Madewell blouses. They fit really well and are perfect for work. I want to get this silk one next! I love the blue.
Daytrip Metallic Lace Cardigan
Not sure if you can find mine at Target anymore but this one looks quite similar. I think I will be adding more lace pieces to my closet, particularly this crochet and lace cardigan isn’t it gorgeous? And this one is really cute with just the lace on the back.
Gap Really Skinny Pants
I’ve talked about these pants before and they really are great! They make for good work pants without looking too “office-y”. And the material is really comfy.
Kimberly Baker Maude Ring
One of my favorite rings that hubs has ever gotten me (besides my engagement/wedding rings of course). I just love the design and that I can easily adjust it to fit any of my fingers.

Rebecca Minkoff MAC Clutch
I liked my blue one so much that I had to buy another one so I got it in pink too! It’s such a great piece to add a pop of color to your outfit. And even though it’s a clutch, it actually still holds a lot which is great! I also really love this Marc Jacobs clutch. The color is so pretty!
Last week was a super stressful week and when I got back from my business trip I was still dealing with a lot of stuff. So when I discovered on Friday night that my right eye was completely swollen, I freaked and knew I needed to relax a bit. Does your body react oddly when you are stressed because mine does! This isn’t the first time that my eye has swollen because of stress. Anyway, Saturday morning the eye was still swollen but we had plans that I didn’t want to miss so I had to go out looking like a freak show. If you follow me on twitter you may have seen my tweets that I was debating on going with an DIY eye patch but I actually ended up putting a cold tea bag on my eye for half an hour (green tea if you want specifics) and that helped tremendously! The swelling went down to a reasonable state. Not back to normal but at least not freak show status. Phew! I didn’t have to try and pull off the pirate look!
Okay enough about my eye, onto the outfit of the day! (note, this was taken weeks ago so no swollen eye lookbooks to scare you away. haha!) I’m a bit slow to the whole Groupon thing and only recently started buying the deals but I forget to check every day so I miss out on some good deals. At least I was smart enough to nab the Nordstrom Rack Groupon but then of course silly me forgot all about it until 2 days before it was going to expire so I went to the Rack and crossed my fingers that I could find something that I loved to use the Groupon with. Well, I ended up getting this blazer and I adore it! I know a lot of you got that Groupon as well, did you guys get something good with yours? Also, if you didn’t know yet, use ebates to get 3% cashback from your Groupon. It’s like a deal for a deal! I like Nordstrom Rack but I never have much luck when shopping there (unlike some of my friends that have found some amazing deals there!) so I was happy to have found this blazer. I was actually just there the other day and saw that they have a few left so go check there if you are looking for a great blazer. It comes in black too!

Thank you to Lucky Brand for sending over the Lola Skinny Jeans! I love the dark wash. I didn’t have a chance to take them to the tailor to get hemmed just yet so rolled them up and thought that looked great too. I figured that this outfit was a bit girly with the pink, the doily embellishment and the bow headband so added the Alexander Wang bag to toughen it up a bit. I’m trying to add handbags to my lookbooks when I remember as I’ve been getting requests to see more of my bags. Plus I think it does complete the outfit a bit more right?
I often get asked about my favorite brands and See by Chloe is one of them, their clothing fits my body type really well and the blazers always fit like a dream without any alterations. This See By Chloe Boyfriend Blazer is on sale and looks great. What’s great about spending a little more on a blazer is that it will always keep it’s shape and will last forever! Or this is a great price for a Phillip Lim blazer (also a great brand). And speaking of light colored blazers, I’m absolutely in love with this lace one!
Sizing wise I went a size up (which I typically do for ASOS) which I recommend. It’s a lot more pink in person (true to color in my pictures than their picture)
I might just be weird but I like my skinny jeans to be super skinny so I’d classify these more in the “straight leg” category for me if that makes any sense. Also I went with my regular size but it was a bit too big because there’s a bit of a stretch to them so I’d size down if you want a tighter fit.
I love these. I actually bought them but my sales associate at Nordstrom could only find me a 5.5 and it was just too big so I had to return them. But they are super cute and comfy! I actually really want this pretty pink color now. These Jessica Simpson pumps are really similar to the Miu Miu ones but WAY cheaper! (and get 8% cashback from ebates!)
I got mine when the bag just came out so it’s the older style but he’s now released a new version with a shoulder strap and I’m so jealous! This bag is super heavy on its own so holding it kind of hurts my arm if I’m holding it too long. The shoulder strap would definitely help! And if you don’t want to drop that much money for a bag (to tell you the truth, it’s not worth it unless you LOVE the bag. It’s a bit too heavy for everyday use so I don’t use it often) then you should take a look at this look for less for $84! So similar right? And you can also get 6% cashback from ebates!
