This was the first time in a really long time that I did not pre-sale for the designer shoe and handbag sale, but between how busy work is and buying a new house and having a baby, there was no time or money left! I did however browse this morning and there is a ton of great stuff on sale! My favorite place to buy from online is Saks and Net-a-Porter since I don’t have to pay tax when ordering from there. Barneys also started their sale and I believe Nordstrom will have their designer sale online tomorrow.
You know how much I love my mini Marcie (see it on me here), they have a couple on sale! The “small” size Marcie is on sale as well in select colors. I also have this size and love it (see it on me here).
My Nordstrom designer handbag SA has a facebook page where she updates photos of new arrivals and sales. You can also contact her there to see the photos of what she has on sale so email her if you are interested!
On another note… I wanted to thank all my readers who have been such great supporters of my jewelry line. It’s been such an exciting ride since the time we started until now and I can hardly believe that it’s only been a year and half! I love getting emails from readers sharing how they wear our pieces to sharing in our excitement when they’ve seen us featured in a magazine or elsewhere. I truly appreciate all the love and support, I couldn’t have grown t+j Designs without all your help!
Update: Thanks for everyone who applied! I got some really great candidates and am now in the process of interviewing. I’m no longer taking resumes but thank you all for your interest!
Because of our rapid growth, I’m getting a bit overwhelmed in everything that we’ve got going on so I’ve decided to hire an intern. I thought I’d put it out on the blog first to see if any of my readers would be interested in working with us! I would love to find someone who loves fashion and of course loves jewelry, who’s very familiar with all aspects of social media – blogging, facebook, twitter, instagram, etc… and who is eager to learn more about starting, running and growing an e-commerce business! Experience with photography and Photoshop would be a major bonus. This is a great opportunity for someone who would love to be a part of our company from the ground up. You will mainly be assisting me with running the day to day operations of the business with an emphasis on the social media aspect. This position will be part time and unpaid to start with (if in school, we’d be happy to work with you to get you school credit) but definite potential for a long term paid position in the future. I do prefer the intern to be local – in the Seattle area or able to get to Seattle on a weekly basis but because most of the time, this position will be working from home, I’m open to finding an intern that is not local if the fit is right. Please email your cover letter and resume to tiffany (at) tandjdesigns.com with the subject “Intern” and I’ll try to get back to you as soon as I can. Feel free to also email me with any questions or to get more information about the position if you are interested. Thanks!
It’s my bi-annual designer shoe sale haul 🙂 I tend to save up all my money and buy most of my shoes only twice a year during the sales. I always end up buying a ton of shoes because I can never resist a good sale especially on shoes! Well, this year I actually found a pretty bag that was on sale too so I definitely can not keep all of these but thought I’d show you what I ended up getting and maybe you can let me know which ones I should return? I really do need your help as I love them all!
I completely forgot to take “real” (not iPhone) pics of these Fendi pumps but I instagrammed them last week. They are so cute and I’ve been eyeing them forever, couldn’t believe the black ones went on sale! I can’t find them on sale anymore, seems like they are back to being full price.
These Miu Miu flats I’m definitely keeping (seeing as how I’ve worn them already as you might’ve seen on my instagram). Aren’t they so pretty? I love how they sparkle! Bluefly currently has them on sale.
I got these from Net-a-Porter and I didn’t see them anywhere else on sale. I’ve been wanting a pair of Maniac pumps for awhile so was very glad to see these go on sale. Definitely not a color for the faint of heart but I love bold color shoes so I think I’ll get lots of wear from them. They are sold out of my color but they still have a few on sale in pink (60% off now), pink suede and nude suede.
These YSL booties were a lucky score as my SA at Nordstrom told me I got the only pair in store and they were my size! I’m a fan of the tributes as I already have the pumps and mary janes and find them all to be very comfortable. I love the cap toe on these! SSENSE has the all leather version as well as the cap toe tributes on sale
I love the color of these Jimmy Choo pumps but out of my haul these are probably my least exciting pair. I do like to have classic pumps in different colors and textures which was what attracted me to these but I’m a bit undecided if they are worth keeping over my other shoes. The good news for those of you that are interested in them, they are now 60% off at Nordstrom! I got them for 40% off so waiting it out is always worth it but I’m too afraid of missing out on my size so I just snag them when I can.
Lastly are the most gorgeous Prada boots. I have a hard time finding boots and these may just be perfection in a boot. HOWEVER they are suede and Seattle is so rainy and gross that I hesitate to spend this much money on boots that I can’t wear very often. I do wish they were leather but I was lucky at least finding these in my size. They are OTK boots however, they look great scrunched down too so I like that they can double as knee high boots too. These are the same ones but in leather.
A lot of places are already marking down their designer merchandise to 60% off. Sizes are slim but you never know, you might get lucky! Make sure to check out Saks, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter and Barney’s!
Thank you so so much for all the support from yesterday’s post. It really means a lot to me. Now back to the regular fashion fluff that usually goes on here 🙂
If you haven’t checked, there’s still a ton of designer shoes on sale. My favorite places to buy are Nordstrom and Net-a-porter but Saks and Neiman Marcus also has great designer sales going on now as well. And although I haven’t checked it out yet, Nordstrom has also marked
down Louboutin shoes in store! I bought too much this year so am going
to avoid seeing what Loubies went on sale or else I’ll be in much bigger
trouble.
I’m going to try to take pictures soon to show you guys what I bought from the sale. I actually ended up buying a bag too so I have to return a pair or two. I need your help in deciding which ones to keep!
Oh and I also got word from my Chanel SA that they are doing pre-sale right now. She has a few bags but mostly accessories (pins, scarves) that are going on sale. I’m going to try to go tonight to see what styles are going on sale. They don’t allow pictures anymore but I’ll see what I can do to share if you guys want to know!
Finally! Saks has their designer sale online. I’m trying to make the tough decisions as to what to actually buy. Luckily with the code HOLIDAY it’s free shipping and returns so I am getting a few things and seeing how they work out.
As you can expect, things are selling out fast but here are what I have my eye on.
There’s a bunch of colors on sale, including these gorgeous metallics and even the black is on sale!
And of course, don’t forget about the bags! I spotted a few YSL Chyctotes but they sold out even before I had a chance to think about it. Still some great choices though!
I’m doing my crazy shopping this morning to make sure I don’t miss out on anything and I saw that SSENSE already has a ton of designer stuff on sale! (I believe most retailers won’t be starting the sale until 11/23 or 11/28 depending on the brand.) I have ordered from SSENSE before and they are a reputable retailer. One thing to note, they are based in Canada and you’ll be charged a foreign transaction fee on your credit card, but hey no tax so you still save!
All these bags and more are on sale. Looks like it’s ranging from 20% to 30% off regular prices. You’ll also get free shipping with code FREESHIPWW.
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you probably already saw that I checked out the designer shoe pre-sale at Nordstrom so wanted to share my picks and also what else is going on sale. My SA told me the details but I forgot them so the basics that I know is that some of the brands are going on sale 11/23 and some of the brands are going on sale a week later. They still do not have the list for Chanel and Louboutin but if you go to Nordstrom, they will be able to show you the pre-sale list for the other designers.
My advice to you if you can not get to Nordstrom to do a pre-sale is to stalk them online. Save the links to your bookmarks and on 11/23 click on over to try and catch them on sale! Oh and the shoes range from 33% – 40% off their regular price.
The higher heel Tribtoo wasn’t on sale but these lower heel ones are. I think they had a gray that was on sale.
I also stopped by the handbags department and they were also doing pre-sale. They had it set up on a few tables so it was easy to see what was on sale. I think most of the bags are going to be 40% off their regular price.
These two were my picks. I got the blue Marc Jacobs on pre-sale but not sure about it yet. I love the Chloe Marcie but since I already have one, I decided not to get it. It looks a bit blue in this picture but it’s more of an off-black.
If you’ve never done pre-sale before, it just means that they’ll hold the merchandise for you until the actual sale date. They’ll then charge your card and you can pick it up on or after that date. So it basically just secures you that you’ll get what you want without battling the crowds. Most of the time, I still go to the store the day of the store as sometimes my SA can’t find my size of a certain shoe that I like but then it will randomly pop up during the sale date so it’s always good to check!
