Bomber Jacket and Lace up Top

I have to say this is one of my favorites outfit I’ve worn!  I am having a rose gold moment (did you catch my Rose Gold shoes?) and I could not wait to share this bomber with you!

The jacket also comes in gold and fits true to size (I’m wearing the small).  I am just loving bomber jackets for spring and this lace up sweater is the perfect top.  It’s a nice lightweight sweater so will transition great for spring.  I did not plan on this photo backdrop but my assistant/photographer and I were driving around and just stumbled across it and I knew it would be perfect for this outfit.  Just a fun find!  It was SO windy that day which is why in half the photos I’m making such a strange face, I’m trying to stand still as the wind whips my hair and myself around!

Petite Style: Long Fringe Cardigan

I tend to stay away from anything long or maxi.  Not because I don’t love them, mostly because I just have to deal with altering them to fit and I just don’t want to deal with that all the time.  Being 5’2′ it can be hard to find things that fit right off the rack, so when I find a style that I don’t have to alter, I get so excited!

I love long cardigans but find that often times, they end up just
overwhelming me and looking too big.  I am so happy to find this one
that not only fits great, but the details with the fringe are just so
me.  I’m sure it would look great on someone taller than me as well but it’s great to find a cardigan that will fit those of use shorties 🙂

Sweaters and Jeans: Cold Shoulder and Lace Up Sweaters

When it’s too cold outside, you simply don’t want to be spending a ton of time on your outfit.  I always just want something warm and comfy so sweaters and jeans are my go-to.  I love that this year there’s been different trends with sweaters, in particular the “cold shoulder” look and lace up sweaters.  I’ve got two looks here with both types, one that is a bit more dressed up and one that is a lot more casual.  I really love sweaters like these because you can wear them so many different ways and still feel a bit put together even if you are just wearing jeans!

OUTFIT #2
SWEATER JEANS
SHOES HAT

I wore this first outfit for work.  Even though it’s cold out the cold shoulder sweater is great for when you are indoors the majority of the time as sometimes it can get super hot when the heat is on.  And all you need is a great warm coat for when you are outside so it’s like a win win so you aren’t constantly battling being too hot or too cold.

I wore this more casual look when my husband, daughter and I took our doggies for a walk around the park.  I obviously didn’t need to look super cute or anything but it’s really not me to be the type to go out in sweats so a sweater, jeans and baseball cap are as casual as I go.  I just love the color of the sweater and the lace up detail really makes it so fun!

Lace tops to transition to spring

Don’t get me wrong, it’s still cold out there but happy to have some warmer days!  Obviously I love lace tops as seen in my last outfit post and I just keep on finding cute ones!

Love these earrings and they come in white and black too!

What I’m Wearing
I got this top on sale a few weeks ago and unfortunately it’s sold out online.  I did still see it in stores (it’s in the TBD department) click here for the details in case you want to find it in store.  I always tend to find things at Nordstrom sell out so fast so hopefully my dressing room posts are helpful.  My schedule is so busy so that I’m not able to shoot outfits until several weeks after I bought something and then it’s sold out!  Anyway, even though my top is sold out, I wanted to share all these adorable lace tops that I found that are great to wear now and the perfect pieces to transition to spring.

January Sales! Tops, Jackets and Jeans

Love browsing January sales as I know that the weather in Seattle is still going to stay cold for awhile so I definitely get use out of all the winter sales going on right now!  Had to check out the J Crew sale and try on a few fun pieces…

I’ve seen this top on a few other bloggers and thought it was adorable.  The stripes and the ruffles are really flattering on everyone!

STRIPED RUFFLE SHIRT – WEARING XXS (FITS TRUE TO SIZE)

And this little quilted jacket is so cute.  I love all the details and it actually fits me in the sleeves!  I usually have to roll my sleeves up on all my jackets.  #shortarmproblems

QUILTED JACKET – WEARING 00 (FITS TRUE TO SIZE)

I love this cherry print and spotted this cute sweater, it was a tad too small on me and they didn’t have the next size up so I didn’t get it but I may order it online.  This striped heart tee is not on sale but it’s cute so I had to try it on!

CHERRY PRINT SWEATER – WEARING XXS (FITS TRUE TO SIZE)
STRIPED HEART TEE – WEARING XS (FITS TRUE TO SIZE)

I always love peplum tops, I just think they are so cute.  The material of this top is a nice thick knit so the peplum shape stays very nicely  Comes in stripes too!  It’s on sale + additional 40% off right now!

PEPLUM TOP – WEARING XXS (FITS TRUE TO SIZE)

They don’t have the bow top online anymore but I found it in this other plaid print which I think is even cuter!  I love the ruffles top on the right, I think it would be cute under a blazer or cardigan.  It’s one of those cute tops you can wear to work or out to dinner.  Take an additional 40% off both tops!

BOW TOP – WEARING XS – FITS TRUE TO SIZE
RUFFLES TOP – WEARING XS – FITS TRUE TO SIZE

The best part about winter is all the coats!  I love coats and two of my favorites from this season are now 30% off.  This puffer jacket keeps me so warm and there’s a cute bow in the back!  You don’t find too many puffer coats as cute as this one.  The hat is also 30% off!

BOW PUFFER COAT – COMES IN NAVY TOO.  WEARING SIZE SMALL, RUNS SMALL SIZE UP.

And this pink fur coat is one of those pieces that makes people stop me in the middle of where ever I am to ask me about my coat.  I’ve handed out more business cards than ever due to this coat!  Go here to see all the coats on sale and take 30% off with code COAT30.

PINK FUR COAT – WEARING SIZE SMALL – FITS TRUE TO SIZE
BOOTS – ON SALE.  FITS TRUE TO SIZE.

Also, if you are a jewelry lover or want to stock up on gifts, we have a ton of jewelry for $5!  Yes, get all of these pieces for just $5.

And all of these pieces are $10!  Shop the entire collection here.

I typically live in sweater and jeans and always looking for a good deal on them. These fab Joe’s Jeans are on sale (I can’t live without a little bit of distressing at the knees) and these super cozy sweaters are both around $20!

My Week in Chicago: T&J Designs Holiday Party, Foodie Adventures and Lots of Fun!

My daughter and I just got back from Chicago and I’m so happy that we
left right before all the snow!  Man is it cold there!  People are
always asking me how I can stand the rain in Seattle but I would much
rather take the rain than the freezing cold temps and snow.  I’m such a
chicken when it comes to cold, I just can’t handle it!  Other than the
cold, our week in Chicago was so much fun.  I
love visiting my sister and her boys and love having my daughter spend
time with her cousins since she doesn’t get to seem them that often.

Just a quick review of all the fun stuff we did!

We started out with blowouts at Blowout Junkie.  I got the “Signature” and Jen got the “Junkie Wave” Mine looks quite big and the curls are super tight because it was just done but in the next few hours my hair relaxed a bit and I had really pretty big curls and lots of volume, I really loved it!

After the blowouts we had to run around to do a few things and while we were out, we found this fun black and white wall.  Of course, we stopped for a photo 🙂 We are unapologetically fashion bloggers who can’t pass up a good wall!

The rest of the day was busy with work and getting ready for our annual T&J Designs holiday party!  Every year, we hold a party at a fun venue and invite our favorite Chicago bloggers and local customers to come eat, drink and shop with us!  This year was at Siena Tavern and it was amazing!  I always have so much fun meeting everyone and seeing familiar faces and I love seeing everyone shop!  It’s just such a fun way to connect with everyone, especially since we are mainly ecommerce so it’s so hard for people to see our line in person and I just love seeing everyone’s reactions when they see it.

JEN’S DRESS // MY TOP AND SKIRT

The next day my sister, our social media assistant and I went out to lunch at Restoration Hardware.  The restaurant is actually called 3 Arts Club Cafe but it’s located inside RH (which is actually the historic Three Arts Club building).  The food was delish!  Everything is beautifully styled, the space is just gorgeous. And yes it’s the same furniture store that you all know but this one is SO much more. The main floor is the restaurant and all the floors upstairs is where you can shop but it’s nothing like the restoration hardware that I’m used to.  Every room is just gorgeous and you want to buy everything!  It’s definitely a must see when you are in Chicago.  I wish I had taken photos but just now realized that I put everything on my insta-stories which disappears and I forgot to save them!  (Follow me on Instagram @tiffanyish so you don’t miss my other adventures!)
I grabbed this pic from the 3 Arts Club Cafe restaurant as you just have to see how pretty it is!
The restaurant is in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago where every home is gorgeous.  We couldn’t resist and had to take photos in front of this pretty house!

After lunch we went back to work and played with the kids before our next event!

My sister got invited to a private dinner back at Siena Tavern with Chef Fabio Viviani, which you may know from Top Chef.  She got me on the invite list as well and I was super excited!  It was a very small group, I think 13 of us in a small room and because he was introducing his new venture, Lobster by Fabio, we were treated to the most amazing 6 course lobster dinner.  I’m not kidding when I say that this was one of the best meals of my entire life.  I love lobster.  Like LOVE it.  So having lobster prepared 6 different ways was heaven for me.  I insta-storied the entire thing but I did capture this photo of one of the dishes.    He also has his own wine so we had wine pairings with everything.  Suffice to say, I went home very full and very happy.

Fabio was very sweet and I have to admit I loved listening to him talk about all the dishes in his very cute accent 🙂

MY DRESS AND BOOTS // JEN’S TOP

We went home that night and passed out from the food coma!  All the other times not pictured were spent with our kids or working!  It was such a wonderful week though and was so happy to spend a lot of time with my sister.  I always love getting to spend time with her and my nephews.  Family is everything and the older I get, the more I appreciate every moment I get to spend with them.
