t+j Designs 3 year anniversary!

August is an exciting month for me as it’s not only my daughter’s birthday – she’ll be turning one this week! – it’s also the anniversary of t+j Designs!  I can’t believe it’s been 3 years since we started this business and it’s been such a crazy ride.  We’ve had our ups and downs but it’s been an incredible experience and I would not trade it for the world.

My sister and I will be writing about our favorite moments through these past three years over on our blog, tiffandjen.com, later on this week so I won’t be going into too much here but I did want to say thank you to everyone who not only reads my blog but has supported our business through your purchases, your kind comments, your “likes” and your follows.  I appreciate it more than you know.

Weekly Outfits: Skirts and Dresses

Apparently it was a skirt week for me but most likely because I was too excited about our new skirts.  I have been wearing them non stop, they are the perfect summer skirt and I can’t wait to pair them with tights for the fall!

This was an easy outfit for the office and unlike how I wore it on my Monday post, I had to add my usual color.  I’ve had this pink blouse forever but forgot about it and recently re-discovered it in my closet.

I got these pumps at the last designer shoe sale and they are my current obsession.  I think I was in the mood for color this day as it’s not my typical outfit.  I love color but usually just let one color stand out.  I think that’s what summer does to me, I like to wear as many bright colors as possible!

These are practically like pajama shorts.  They aren’t, but they are so comfy that they should be!

Our new polka dot skirt that is my favorite out of our collection.  It’s just so feminine and fun, I love the polka dots!  I’ve been asked about sizing and yes, sizing runs a little weird.  We are working on our sizing to be consistent (and we promise that the next collection will have three size ranges) but this skirt in particular runs a bit small.  The small could fit an XS to small, just check our measurements in case you aren’t sure!

Another bright outfit but when I saw this dress on Shopbop, I couldn’t help but order it just to try it on.  Of course when I got it, I fell in love.

I know I talk about my business a lot on here but it truly is my life.  I love what I do and I can’t imagine doing anything else.  My sister and I have really loved working with jewelry in the past two years but we’ve also always dreamed of expanding our product line.  We launched a little collection of tees in the past month and we’ve already sold out of all our inventory twice which makes us so happy to see other people enjoying our designs.  We have been working on our line of skirts from some time now and we are so excited to share them with you all.  I got together with my friend and photographer Jen to shoot this look and love the shots that she got in one of my favorite parks in Seattle.  Make sure to check out tiffandjen today as well to see how Jen styled the skirt as well!

And my favorite look of them all, mostly for the hot pink pants!  It’s the perfect color for these gloomy winter days and love that you get a hint of the same pink in the Antique Brooch Neon Deco Necklace.  Add some pointy toe pumps and one of my favorite sweaters to keep warm.  I’ve actually been living in a very similar look these past few weeks!
