I think that capes are so chic and can really dress up an outfit so easy but it’s not something that people often reach for. This gray bow cape is seriously one of my favorite pieces of clothing ever. It can be kind of hard to figure out what to wear with a cape but once you’ve paired it with a few outfits, it’s one of those pieces that you will be reaching for again and again.
I kept it pretty simple with this and wore all black but because my sleeves peek out of the cape I wanted to add some texture so this blouse was the perfect match.
And a few other ideas of what to wear with a cape. I love the look with distressed jeans and a casual graphic tee. The cape is just so versatile you can wear it both dressy and casual and make your outfit stand out a bit more. Get the black cape here and the red bow cape here.
I also just wanted to thank you guys for reading my blog. I try to post a few times a week but sometimes life can get in the way. This week has been tough with a sick child but I feel like every week is something that makes my life just crazy! I would love for you to subscribe to my blog via email so that the posts will just go straight to your inbox! I am going to be working on a newsletter and be adding some fun stuff that only you newsletter subscribers will have access too! Sign up here so you don’t miss out.
I still love my heels but these days, I’ve been into sneakers and love finding ones that are a little bit out of the norm. I fell in love with these rose gold ones and had to get them the second I saw them! Not only are they cute, they are so lightweight and comfortable.
I love that you don’t have to go super casual to wear sneakers these days. I’ve been wearing them with jeans and blouses or even dresses. I love being able to dress up but wear these fun, comfy shoes!
I feel like there’s always a “blogger shoe” of the season where you see the same shoe on every blogger. But I completely understand why as they are always the cutest shoes ever and I always want them too! This season is the Marc Fisher Adalynand I was dying to get my hands on them. I finally got them and yes, I love them! It’s currently rainy and nasty (we just got snow a few days ago and it’s been horrendous weather since!) so I can’t wear them just yet but I’m excited to when it finally gets warmer out.
They fit true to size but if you have wider feet you may want to go up half size. I find that wearing them for long periods of time, your feet can feel a bit pinched.
The wedge itself is also a bit heavy so just be prepared for that! Other than that, I find them to be very comfortable and easy to wear.
I do have to mention that these were most likely inspired by these Chloe wedges. These were from last year and they have a new version this year with scallops! So cute. But at $660 I think I’ll stick to the Marc Fisher ones and save $500 🙂
(credit unknown, let me know if you are the owner!)
See the wedges on me! I’ve worn them so many times with so many outfits. They go with everything!
I FOUND A MORE AFFORDABLE DUPE! Yes, it’s the exact same shoe but $100 less! I ordered them and will post my review of both soon.
OK guys, I’m officially getting back to the gym. And I’m not going to lie, I need some major motivation to start going on a consistent basis and clothes are always a good motivator for me 🙂 I’ve become obsessed with mesh paneled leggings and have been on the hunt for the perfect pair. While I’ve been browsing I found some other great leggings that will look great at the gym.
I used to be crazy about Lululemon for all my workout outfits, but now there are so many companies out there that make similar styles and great quality so I’ve been shopping around a bit more.
These moto leggings are so cool! I love the detail of the leather-like fabric. And it comes in so many colors!
These are such a pretty color and love the details. I’ve tried the Zella leggings before and they are very comparable to Lululemon leggings. They stay put and don’t ride up or down when working out which is so important!
I love the dark gray with the mesh panel detail. It just looks so cool! I think these would work outside of the gym too with a slouchy sweater and my favorite casual Nike’s (they are so lightweight and comfortable!)
These leggings have a good mix of the moto and the mesh. These might be my favorite out of the bunch and I love that you can get them in Regular, Petite or Tall!
All the ones above are a bit pricier which for the most part, I’m okay with paying a bit more for workout clothes. I believe that most of the workout wear at the price range is worth it as the fabrics, fits and just the way it fits to your body while your actually working out (no sagging!) is a lot better. However since a lot of these look great for a casual look as well I found some cute pieces under $50! I found some great options at Amazon. They have so much selection and what would I do without Prime? I mean 2 day free shipping? Yes please!
From L to R:
1. This one has great reviews and they look cute so just ordered myself a pair to try.
2. Not great reviews on these leggings but one of them said that these fit more like capris which works for me since I have short legs, I’m always looking out for cute capri length leggings. And they are only $10 so worth the shot.
3. I had no idea Steve Madden made workout clothes but now I know! Loving these, the color is so gorgeous. Depending on what size/color you choose, they are on sale and the XS in these are only $28 right now!
I love weekend brunch! I mean the food, the company, the mimosas, what’s there not to love? And I love this tee! So comfy and perfect brunchin’ outfit.
These are the jeans I mentioned in yesterday’s post that are now 60% off. They have been my go-to’s lately. And you may remember these platform oxfords from this post. I’ve been wearing them ALL THE TIME. They are just so crazy comfy and I think they look adorable with jeans.
The tee and the sunglasses are from my line and I have to mention that we are doing an additional 50% off all sale items so there are some amazing deals to be had right now!
If you know me and my style I tend to veer towards very girly things. I love pink, bows and ruffles but lately I’ve been loving lace! I wanted to share these two recent looks with my new favorite lace tops.
First of all I love bell sleeves so when I saw this top had bell sleeves and lace, I was all over it. I’m wearing it with a cute pleated lace skirt (sorry the photos are so dark but you can see better detail of it here).
I love a basic black outfit but I made it a little more me with the lace top and distressed jeans. Oh and I usually am not one to splurge on jeans but I have to say that I’ve been loving Frame denim. They make the best distressed jeans. They are a really nice thick denim too so great for the winter (yes, even with all those holes!) I love them and think they are worth every penny. You can see a closer up shot of the top on me in this post.
