Love browsing January sales as I know that the weather in Seattle is still going to stay cold for awhile so I definitely get use out of all the winter sales going on right now! Had to check out the J Crew sale and try on a few fun pieces…

I’ve seen this top on a few other bloggers and thought it was adorable. The stripes and the ruffles are really flattering on everyone!

I love this cherry print and spotted this cute sweater, it was a tad too small on me and they didn’t have the next size up so I didn’t get it but I may order it online. This striped heart tee is not on sale but it’s cute so I had to try it on!

I always love peplum tops, I just think they are so cute. The material of this top is a nice thick knit so the peplum shape stays very nicely Comes in stripes too! It’s on sale + additional 40% off right now!

They don’t have the bow top online anymore but I found it in this other plaid print which I think is even cuter! We are finally in full force winter and although Seattle is not as cold as many other parts of the US, once it dips to 32 degrees, I’m too much of a chicken to leave the house! I can’t stand the cold! I wore this outfit on a slightly warmer day but these boots and the hat have been a staple for sure this winter.

So let’s talk about these boots. Everyone has been raving about the Stuart Weitzman boots so I finally splurged and got them which I totally love. However, I went to dinner with a friend who was wearing a very similar pair and when she told me that she got them on Amazon I was shocked! They do come from overseas so you will have to wait almost 3 weeks for them. And I mean obviously the quality is not as nice as the SW but they look really good and it comes in 6 colors. I also have these Steve Madden dupes as well as these Marc Fisher flat versions. The Steve Madden ones are a bit looser so don’t fit as tight on my calves as I would like. I have not had any problems with the Marc Fisher ones on the calves but the ties at the back come undone all the time so I always feel like I’m kicking them around. They also have the heeled version (under $100!). I will have to say that all the versions that I have are very comfy and I can wear them around all day. The block heel definitely helps.

Latest additions to my shoe closet!

Sparkle! I’m all heart eyes for these. I’m still deciding on the outfit but I know I will be wearing these for New Year’s Eve!

These are a bit unlike me but after seeing platform oxfords on several people I just had to try them out. I wore these for a week straight when I got them in and now I want them in the nude too! Oh and they are under $30, which is crazy because for the quality they look and feel much more expensive. I was at Nordstrom and saw some platform oxfords and they were very comparable to these but twice the price. I went a half size up on these. Make sure to check their size chart and recommendations they list for your size.

Winter Dress Haul

It is so hard to get dressed up in the winter. I mean I think we can all appreciate staying in our pajamas all day with our hair in a pony tail, am I right? But there are times when I just want to get dressed up and out with friends! I went on a dress hunt for some dressy but not too dressy dresses – if that makes any sense. I wanted to be able to wear these to a party but also just out to dinner with friends if I wanted.

Here’s my little haul! And I apologize about the awful color of the photos. The weather has been so terrible so getting any kind of light to shoot in has been the worst.

Maggy London Women’s Tri Color Lace Fit and Flare
I adore this tri color lace dress! I think it’s so simple but pretty with the three colors of lace. It’s actually a lot easier to dress down than you think. I already have worn it with a cozy cardigan, navy tights and ankle booties. I’m wearing the size 2 and it fits great but I’m usually a size 0 so I would size up for this one.

Blu Pepper Floral Printed Swiss Dot Fabric Dress
This brand is super affordable and has really cute pieces! I love long sleeve dresses and this one is definitely a keeper. I had to shop this brand more after getting this piece. This navy one with the dots is also really cute and already in my cart! Wearing a size small.

Donna Morgan Women’s Bell Sleeve Sheath
Oh bell sleeves. I have such an obsession with them! I love the lace details on this dress but wasn’t in love with the fit so this went back. I’m wearing a size 2 which ran a bit big in the waist and hips for me. I would have kept it if it fit!

Somedays Lovin Women’s Crystal Visions Lace Dress
This one just wasn’t doing anything for me. Way cuter in the photos but just way too much going on for me. Also this is the XS but I felt like it was so big. I just think it will work for someone taller and thinner than I am as it’s just a bit much for a petite frame. When you order online there is always going to be a dud! That’s why I always order a bunch of stuff and then return it. I love that about Amazon as they make returns so easy.

BB Dakota Women’s Petite Adelina Lace Fit N Flare Dress
I love the color and the fit of this dress. I also loves that it comes in a petite fit. I’m wearing the 2 petite and it runs true to size. Such a pretty color and it looks great paired with black tights and boots.
