Let’s face it, dressing for the winter is hard. The weather is definitely not on our side and we just want to stay warm and cozy. Since having my baby almost 3 months ago, my go to outfits usually include leggings. I wanted to share a few easy ways on how to put together winter outfits with leggings.

Here’s a few ideas that can help you put together a quick and easy outfit for the fall and winter
basic pieces
As you can see here, I went for all the same basic pieces, just switched out my outerwear! I try to go with tops that have fun details like this long sleeve tee with the front twist. And of course, you’ll want some comfy leggings. My favorite these days are these high waisted leggings. I switch things up with these faux leather leggings as well.
warm layers
If you notice that most of the layers are pretty thin is because I can still pair these outfits with a larger, thicker winter coat. I don’t know about you but I can’t stand when I get all bundled up and then as soon as I get inside, I’m so hot because most places have their heat cranked up.
I like to be able to take off my jacket and still feel comfortable so layers are always a good choice. Vests are a fave because they don’t create bulk in the arms but they still keep you really warm. Look for ones that aren’t too puffy if you want to layer with a warmer winter coat.

If you’re wanting something more stylish, try a bomber jacket! My flower print bomber is a few years old, but I love this one that’s similar.
keep it simple
A sherpa lined cardigan is a staple in my closet. Other than when it’s raining, it’s great for the cold weather. When I don’t feel like layering a bigger jacket over, I’m still warm enough. I like that it’s not fussy and just easy to wear.
Comfy shoes
Sneakers are my go to right now just because I can easily slip them on and off as I usually have my baby in my arms. But I do love pairing my leggings with over the knee boots or ankle booties as well. Which is why I love this outfit as it’s so versatile and you can really switch things out quite easily.
I’ve been on a chunky sneaker kick and I’m loving these cream Nike sneakers. They are incredibly comfortable and yay for the bit of height that they give you. They are currently on sale! I’m always a sucker for black and gold so when I saw these Nike sneakers I had to get them. I actually have them in pink as well and they are one of my favorite styles of Nikes. These are also on sale! I would say go up half a size on both these styles. The black and gold are also available here.
How to wear boots with leggings
Of course you can’t go through winter without boots! Here’s some fashion inspiration to get you through winter.
If you want an easy winter outfit with boots, grab an oversized sweater and over the knee boots!
