Whether you are enjoying a more casual dinner or are celebrating in a formal setting, I have options for it all for you below. Don’t miss it below! When it comes to dressing my family for any special occasion, I like to be intentional with what I choose for each family member. We typically take family photos on holidays, so I do like to coordinate our outfits whether it be with similar color palettes or styles. And when it comes to Thanksgiving, comfort is the ultimate goal for everyone in the family. A comfy outfit is essential for turkey day (hello pumpkin pie!), but I also find it essential as Thanksgiving is typically an all day occasion and both myself, my husband as well as our little kids need to be comfortable to enjoy all of the festivities. Thanksgiving Outfits for Moms When it comes to dressing myself, I like to stick to neutrals and avoid anything that is too constricting. I typically like to […]

We recently went on our first family getaway since 2019! With the pandemic and having two little ones, we wanted to be on the safe side and stay home, but with vaccines available now my husband and I are feeling a bit more comfortable with taking our family out on a fun little adventure! I’m proud to be partnering on this post with Washington State Department of Health to help spread the word about the COVID-19 vaccine. All thoughts and opinions are my own. My husband and I have both been fully vaccinated since this spring and we recently also got the COVID-19 booster once we were eligible. It was important to us that we got the booster before our vacation. I’m also so happy that the COVID-19 vaccine is available for kids 5 and over now. Layla’s school district has done an amazing job at setting up vaccination clinics for the kids that made it so easy for us parents to make appointments and make sure that our kids can get vaccinated. We headed to Great Wolf Lodge which is one of our favorite destinations. The last time we were there, Edie was still a baby! This time she’s […]

It’s been such an interesting year with all of us being at home, wearing masks when we go out and working at home and virtual school for the kids. But the biggest impact to us is not being able to see family! I’ve always been very close to my family and my parents love spending time with their grandkids. As soon as the COVID-19 vaccine was available for my parents, they made an appointment at their nearest clinic.   My kids made a countdown calendar of how many days left until they could see grandma and grandpa! After being apart for over a year, it was amazing to finally have a timeline of when we could see them safely and spend time together. This post is sponsored by WA Dept of Health. All opinions are my own. Thank you for your support! My husband and I got vaccinated when we were eligible and I just have to mention how impressed I was with how easy it was to get an appointment and how organized the process was! They really make it easy for everyone to get vaccinated which I appreciate. We hadn’t seen my brother and his family all year […]

This post is in partnership with shopDisney.com and ShopStyle. All opinions are my own. There are two things that everyone in our house absolutely loves. Christmas and Disney! I love decorating my house for the holidays and my girls get so excited to see anything Mickey and Minnie so I wanted to add some Disney touches to our holiday decor. My go-to for all things Disney is shopDisney. They have everything from apparel to toys and home decor so I love that I can just do one order and get everything that I need. Our favorite shopDisney Toys My girls don’t fight over toys but since they are 5 years apart, they don’t tend to play with the same kinds of toys except for plushies! They both love plushies so much and they are huge fans of Anna and Elsa so I added these to cart as soon as I saw that they were available! We have gotten the Holiday Minnie Mouse every year since Layla was born so of course I had to add this one to our collection! I love how the date is embroidered into her shoe. It’s a great little keepsake to remember each Christmas! Layla […]

As much as I love working for myself there are a few things that come with owning your own business that are not so fun and finding your own health insurance plans is one of them! I have spent so much time navigating different websites and insurance carriers to figure out what plans worked best for me as well as what worked with my budget. It was confusing, time consuming and not something that I enjoyed at all. I am so happy to partner with Washington Healthplanfinder to share how it’s helped me out so much! I have used it for the past few years and highly recommend it for everyone who wants to find the best health coverage for themselves and their family. They make it easy to find, compare, and enroll in a health plan for how you’re living now. I’ve worked for myself for 10 years now, and finding health coverage is something I have to deal with year after year. I’ve gone through so many life changes, from having two babies and other health issues. It’s really important to me to get the coverage that makes sense for whatever is going on in my life. Finding […]

One thing I’ve learned in the past few holiday seasons, buy your matching family holiday pajamas early as they always sell out so fast! I rounded up the most popular brands and cutest styles so you can have a one stop guide to shop your favorite set for your family. Check it out below! The Best Matching Family Holiday Pajamas in 2020 The best variety for family holiday pajamas Hanna Andersson really was the first brand to carry matching holiday pj’s so I knew I had to share this! I love the cute deer print, but you really can’t go wrong with any print they offer! I also love this new Sno Happy in Black print, this Vintage Village print. Classic Buffalo Check Flannel for Winter You can’t go wrong with classic buffalo check OR the Wondershop at Target when it comes to matching family pjs. I also love this cute Holiday Hot Air Balloon style. Fairisle Green How pretty are these Fairisle pjs from Lauren Conrad? I heard that her pj’s sell out really quick so definitely grab these early! Unique holiday designs These adorable Santa pj’s are more of a splurge compared to the other options, but you […]

Traveling with young kids is never easy, but it’s always an adventure and worth the memories made! My kids are 1 and 6 and I try to pick destinations that are easy to get to,  lots of activities for kids and good weather is always a bonus, which is why we recently went to Long Beach, CA for our winter vacation.  They are so many fun things to do with kids in Long Beach, CA and wanted to share what we did while we were there. From Seattle, a flight to Long Beach is only 2 and a half hours and when you are traveling with a baby or toddler, the short flight is a definite win! We flew directly into Long Beach airport which is a beautiful, open air airport.  Layla was so excited to get off the airplane and directly be outside! It’s the little things like this that make me love traveling with my kids as it’s so fun to see what they get excited about. This post is in partnership with Visit Long Beach. All opinions are my own. From the moment we got in the car and started driving, I knew we were going to […]
