The holiday season is always such a crazy time with not only so much to do at work but also so many events and errands to take care of. My calendar is completely full these days and so I’m always looking out for the best pieces that can transition from different occasions so easily. I love a piece that can easily be worn for so many events, especially from work to an after work event.

I’m in love with the texture and the print of this Anne Klein blazer. It’s almost a metallic which makes it so holiday appropriate but also makes it feel so luxe. Anne Klein is such a great brand for pieces like this that look so much more expensive than they really are.

What to wear to work during the holiday season

Every year I’ve had to run from work to dinner or events so I always find that I’m reaching for pieces that look great day to night. Here’s a few other tips of what to look for:

Make a statement with just one piece: Just like this outfit, the blazer is the stand out piece but you can also find things like a great pair of shoes, a jacket or even jewelry that you can keep as the focus of the outfit.
Find pieces that you will be comfortable in for hours at at time. I can’t always go home to change in between work to events so I want to make sure whatever I’m wearing, I can stand to wear for a really long time.
Layering is always key. This blazer can also be work with a sweater underneath for more warmth but I also like that it’s slim enough to layer my warm winter jacket over it as well.
Keep the rest of your outfit basic: These black pants and pumps are something that I always have multiples of in my wardrobe so it’s easy to pull together an outfit once I’ve found a statement piece like the blazer. You can do the same thing with a black sheath dress or sweater and slim black trousers.

Under $50 Holiday & Christmas Party Dresses on Amazon

I found the cutest holiday party dresses on Amazon and the best part? They’re all under $50 which means I can keep more than one! I’m trying to be really prepared this year and not leave things to last minute which is why I’ve already been shopping for my holiday party dresses! I actually wanted to get a few options for our holiday family photos but I ended up going with another dress. However, I felt like a bunch of these would work well for holiday family gatherings, office holiday parties and just in general any occasion you need for the holidays. And not only are these under $50 they are all on Amazon Prime which means FREE 2 day shipping! Yay! If you don’t have Amazon Prime yet, you need to get it for the holiday season. Get a 30-Day Free Trial and try it out. I promise you, you’ll love it!

I wanted black or red just because it’s pretty much the easiest option, I can pair it with black or nude shoes and add some simple jewelry. Also, I tend to like to coordinate with my daughter and husband for photos (if you are anything like me, we take a lot of photos during the holidays) so it was really easy to find cute dresses for my daughter as well. (Check the bottom of my post for some great girl’s dresses!)

There’s also kind of a pattern with the dresses I chose as I really love long sleeve dresses and I also love the off the shoulder trend so all of these incorporate one or both those things!

OFFICE HOLIDAY PARTY AND CHRISTMAS PARTY DRESSES

I really loved this flowy dress as it was so comfy and easy to wear. The waist is elastic so it’s definitely a dress that you don’t have to worry about sucking in anything and eating too much! I love the slightly sheer fabric as well. It runs slightly big which is not bad as the dress itself is a bit flowy so it just depends on if you are wanting that fit.

OFF THE SHOULDER CHIFFON DRESS (comes in 4 colors) – Wearing size Small

Lace and the bell sleeves are two of my favorite things so this dress is one of my top picks! This one is a bit more form fitting but it’s not restricting and very comfy to move around in. I kind of cheated as this dress is slightly higher than the $50 (but only by a few dollars!) and totally worth it.

LACE FLUTTER SLEEVE DRESS (comes in 2 colors ) – Wearing size 0

If you don’t need something as dressy, this dress is a good option. It’s definitely still dressy but I feel like it’s something that I would wear to a nice dinner as well. It comes with a string/belt but it didn’t really work with my body type so I left it off. I love the lace detailing at the top and the sleeves. It also comes in a pretty pink which I think I might like better than the red.

SATIN AND LACE DRESS (comes in 3 colors) – Wearing XS

I actually went searching at a few stores for a lace off the shoulder dress so I was surprised to have found it at Amazon and for under $25! Size wise, I was afraid that this dress would be coming from China and run really small which is why I got the size M. The dress is a very thick and stretchy knit so you could probably stick with your regular size.

FUN HOLIDAY PARTY LOOKS

How cute are the scallops? I thought this was a fun dress that was a bit less formal and would be fun to dance in. Would be a cute dress to wear to a winter wedding! The material is very heavy and stretchy so it keeps it shape very well. I sometimes struggle with the midi length because I have short legs but I also like that it keeps it a bit more modest since I have a little one to take care of, I never have to worry about too much skin showing when I’m bending down or carrying my daughter.

OFF THE SHOULDER SCALLOP DRESS (comes in 6 colors) – wearing size Small

If you need something a bit more casual and trendy this is the dress! The material is a bit of a thinner jersey type material so it definitely doesn’t feel as nice as the other dresses but it’s only $20 which is what I would expect from that price. I like the high low hem and that it’s lightweight. I would just add some bling-y jewelry like drop earrings and a stack of bracelets and maybe even some fun sparkly shoes to make it feel a bit more dressy.

Some cute dresses for your little girl! I bought this lace dress for my daughter and she wore it for our holiday photos. It’s SO cute. I absolutely love it and she did too!

Party Dresses under $100

I know it’s almost Christmas and you’ve probably already attended your share of holiday parties but I have one more very special occasion to attend. My brother and his fiance are getting married! They are getting married in Costa Rica in 2016 but first are getting married at the courthouse, which holds a special place in my heart as that is what my husband and I did (see the post here) before our wedding in Jamaica. So I went on a hunt for a dress to wear to the occasion and ended up finding so many that I loved. I refuse to spend a ton of money on fancy dresses as I find that I end up wearing the dress only a few times and then it just sits in my closet, so I rounded up my favorite all under $100, but mostly under $50!

BLACK DRESS RED DRESS

As you can see, I was a little obsessed with red or black, lace or sheer detail dresses and I do prefer dresses with sleeves but it’s not the deciding factor. I ended up with this red dress which I LOVE. It’s even more gorgeous in person and being that it was under $30 made it that much better.

Sometimes you don’t want to wear a dress and what better excuse to wear sequin pants then for the holidays? Aren’t these sequin pants to die for? I love them! And it’s nice to be dressy without always wearing a dress. Pair it with my favorite black pumps and my necklace and I’m set!

GIRLY AND EDGY HOLIDAY LOOK

SHOP LOOK 2:

A tulle skirt is always great for the holiday season! It can be a bit girly, but paired with a pretty camisole and cropped jacket, it’s the perfect combo for a dinner party with your best friends! Don’t forget the pink lips for the perfect holiday pout 🙂

WINTER WHITE AND GOLD HOLIDAY LOOK

And sometimes all you need is a little white dress. It’s pretty much a staple for a holiday party. Other than a red dress of course which you could also swap out with this outfit!
