Lookbook: Faux leather and patterns

What I’m Wearing
Anthropologie Blazer – similar (on sale for $30!) super old but still a favorite.  I just have to show you guys this stripe blazer, isn’t it gorgeous?  Anthropologie has some great blazers now, love this lasercut blazer and this floral blazer.
SheInside Blouse – This is good for the time being but the quality is not great.  The button holes all have threads hanging out and the fit in the chest totally gapes but luckily was hidden with the bow.  I’m on the hunt for a better quality one, thinking about this one by Equipment.
Nordstrom Faux Leather Skirt -I’m all about the faux leather, I want to pair this skirt with everything!
Christian Louboutin pumps – mine are old but I’m currently eyeing these nude pumps and these pink ones!

After my daughter was born I felt like I was in a total style rut (hence the total lack of blog updates and also other various life things that were/are going on).  Beyond just all the things that come with having a new baby, I just felt totally lost in how I could dress myself!  But I’m now getting back in the swing of things and enjoying my wardrobe again and putting together outfits.  It’s harder now because she’s eating solids and getting all sorts of food stains on herself and me (I think she finds it amusing to sneeze the moment I put a spoonful of carrots in her mouth) so I tend to bring a sweatshirt everywhere with me to cover what I’m wearing but other than that, stylewise, I am finally feeling a bit more like my pre-pregnancy self.

What I’m Wearing
Chicwish jacket – I have always been happy with my chicwish purchases.  I’m adding this military jacket and this mint trench to my cart!  I got this colorblock skater skirt in my last order.  I’ve yet to brave the cold in a skirt but it’s adorable and now on sale!

Christian Louboutin heels – I’m crossing my fingers on a few styles that may go on sale (my SA thinks the sale date for Louboutin is 12/4.)  I know these won’t ever go on sale though so if I don’t find any sale ones I may splurge for those.
Red Valentino clutch – the all leather one is on sale!  I adore this clutch, it holds a ton and the bow is just too darn cute.  Also comes in this pretty print and on sale.

What I’m Wearing

I wore this outfit a few weeks after I had Layla and after putting it on and doing my hair and makeup it made me realize how much I needed all of it to make me feel like a normal person.  With a newborn it’s so easy to just get lost in your sleepless nights and very busy (and tiring) days but taking the time each day to get dressed and look halfway normal has actually helped me function a lot more!  She is such a good baby though and I go out everywhere with her and most of the time she just sleeps or looks around.  I wear her in my baby sling when we are out (I have a Sakura Bloom sling that she and I both love) so I try not to wear anything with buttons or embellishments so I’m loving simple tops like the one I’m wearing here.

You saw a glimpse of this outfit from yesterday’s post so wanted to share the whole look.   Can I tell you how happy I am to be able to wear heels again!  Yay!  And double yay that my feet didn’t grown after being pregnant.  I heard about the possibility of feet growing due to pregnancy and I was so scared that I’d never be able to fit into any of my shoes again.  Thank goodness it didn’t happen to me or else I’d be super sad!

Lookbook: Crochet

What I’m Wearing
Eryn Brinie Blazer – White Blazers are a definite staple in my closet.  Love this Rachel Roy blazer and this one is on sale for under $40 and comes in so many colors! 
Hailey Tunic c/o Darling – love the crochet tunic, it was a cold and windy day so paired it with a blazer but it looks great on it’s own and with a pair of leggings too.  This little red tunic is so cute too.
ASOS maternity jeans – these are “skinny jeans” but they are not “skinny” enough for me if you know what I mean.  If I wear jeans that are slightly baggy it makes me look even shorter so I try to avoid them.  It’s good taking photos of your outfits so you know how it really looks!

 Yay it’s Friday!  We moved into our new house and are slowly unpacking but hoping to get a lot more done this weekend as it pretty much sucks living out of boxes and unpacking things as we need them!

Forever 21 skirt – similar for $8.  I stock up on these types of skirts to wear underneath short dresses and they work great for pregnant bellies too!  Also cute in polka dot print.

The weather is back to being rainy so wanted to post these pictures so I could remember that it was actually sunny for a little bit!  I’m so pale here but I finally got my hands on some fantastic self tanner.  Will write a review soon on which one I’m using as it’s one of the best that I’ve used before.

If you are wondering what’s in my hand in all the photos it’s this camera remote.  I do still occasionally take my own pics and this remote has been very handy and is not too expensive.  Highly recommend it if you want to take your own pics!

What I’m Wearing
Zara Tweed Jacket – got mine ages ago.  Here’s a cute tweed jacket on sale.  Or this nautical tweed jacket is adorable and comes in petite sizing.
ShopSosie Dress (c/o) – sold out of my color but comes in lavender and mint too.
Nordstrom Belt – Similar, love the little bow detail!  I think this mint bow belt would be so cute with this dress (and lots of other things) too!
Christian Louboutin Simple 100 pumps – I gotta work on my tan but at least nude pumps help out the leg situation with making them look a bit longer.
t+j Designs Flower Petal Necklace – a favorite amongst many!  I love the look of the statement necklace with a simple outfit.
Pearl Bracelet | White Bracelet

I decided to show two ways to wear this dress as it’s so versatile I could think of 100 more ways to wear it!  But I love the cheery pink and decided to add the Flower Petal Necklace to make it more fun.  I love the relaxed look without the tweed jacket but the jacket and the belt make it very work appropriate.
