Marc Jacobs Cross Body Bag – you wouldn’t think this tiny bag gets as much use as it does but it really is a go to fave. It carries just enough and since it has credit card slots I don’t need an extra wallet to lug around. It’s gorgeous in this cobalt blue too.

Patterns are my thing… I love anything with polka dots or hearts so this outfit is one of my faves! And super comfy so an extra plus! I’ve got so much going on with my business that life has been super crazy lately but in a good way! I love pinning words of inspiration (you can see my entire board full of them here!) when I saw this one it made me smile so had to share.

These are the second set of photos that my sister and I did with Jen last month (see the first set here). It was so cold that day by the second outfit we were all ready to be out of the cold and done with it. I think we shot these in 15 mins compared to the 30-45 mins for the first set! Jen captured some fantastic photos and I so appreciate her willingness to shoot in the freezing temps!

Lookbook: Pumpkin

What I’m Wearing
ASOS Classic Trench – have had this trench for awhile now and it’s my go to coat for the less windy days. It’s a bit too cold for it now though!
Happy Scarf – thank you to the team at Happy Scarf who take care of me every season with a box full of awesome scarves! I’m obsessed with scarves and never leave home without one. All the scarves are soooo soft and they have a ton of great prints. I get asked about my scarves all the time and I always point them to Happy Scarf (plus I just love the name!)
Rag & Bone Sweater – bought this sweater because I wanted a bright colored sweater and then debated forever about keeping it as I wasn’t sure about the color. I don’t tend to wear orange a lot and didn’t want to look like a pumpkin. Finally put it on one day and decided it was the perfect orange! I love it now.
Rag & Bone coated jeans – Similar and on sale. I love these coated jeans that give a bit of a leather look. I also have them in black and they totally look like leather pants. Highly recommended. Plus a ton cheaper than buying real leather pants! There’s actually quite a few coated jeans on sale. These Citizens and these Rich & Skinny jeans are 40% off
Miu Miu Pumps – if you’re lucky you might still be able to catch the leather versions of these on sale! Same with the suede & glitter pumps! I love those.
YSL Mini Chyc – Here in the regular size. I’ve also contemplated the Mulberry Bayswater tote as well. It’s really similar in size and shape.
Chanel Ring – Anniversary present from my husband 🙂

Lookbook: Striped Blazer

What I’m Wearing
Anthropologie Blazer (old) – similar, or a mixture of stripes and dots here (and on sale)
J Crew Blythe Blouse – this color is no longer available but they have tons of colors and quite a few are on sale. These are a staple in my closet.
Rock & Republic Jeans – I’m actually really impressed with these $40 jeans. I’m a bit wary of inexpensive jeans as they always seem to stretch and mishapen after only a wear or two but these have lasted quite awhile and still look great. I love coated jeans and saw that theirs are reasonably priced. I haven’t tried them on but if they are like these jeans, I’ll be all over them! The floral jeans are cute too.
Rag & Bone Booties – You’re going to get sick of seeing these in all my lookbooks. They are my go to shoe during this season. Mine is a combo of leather and suede, the all suede version is on sale. Tempted to get those to be a back up pair!

These are from October and you may remember my outfit from this post but just found them in my photos and wanted to share the outfit details! I’m back from my trip to China and lucky me, caught a cold on the way back. I swear everyone on both my flights (I had a 5 hour layover – yuck!) was coughing and sneezing so it was inevitable that I caught something too. Ugh. So now dealing with this annoying stuffy nose, sneezing, headache but you know what’s worst of all? I can not hear out of my left ear! It’s so crazy but the left side of my head is seriously so clogged up that when I talk, I’m just echoing into my head. HAHAHA. It sounds hilarious but really, it’s super annoying! Can’t wait to be healthy again! 🙂

Rag & Bone Jodhpur jeans (in black) – mine is the “plum” color but I can’t find it online anymore. Love these with the leather insert, it’s like wearing leather pants without wearing leather pants.
Christian Louboutin “Insectika” pumps – similar, I think these will be my next black pumps purchase. I love the slightly rounded pointy toe.

I’ve been taking self shot (remote/tripod) lookbooks lately (did you notice that this one was self shot?) and this was my first one that I was cursing my way through it. First my remote was malfunctioning so I was already frustrated with that, then the wind took over and I could not get one workable shot and then when I switched lenses I didn’t realize my lens was not focusing correctly so that’s why there are no full body shots. (It was too hard to tell in the viewfinder if it was focused or not because I was in the sun and I was already frustrated with the remote situation so wanted to get out of there.)

This is what most of my pictures look like. LOL! You should have seen me quick posing when the wind would take a few breaks to get as many shots possible before it kicked back up. I’m sure I looked hilarious! The things we do for our blogs right? 🙂

Lookbook: Blue Stars

What I’m Wearing

Jeans: Rag & Bone cobalt jeans (this season’s version) – also these Rag & Bone jeans are such a pretty color and on sale.
Booties: Prada – nothing super similar but these booties are a great alternative and under $100.

I took these photos this weekend when we went out for a casual little breakfast/snack at Grand Central Bakery. Those delicious looking things are their seasonal danishes which essentially is a super flaky croissant like pastry covered in a maple glaze. It’s so yummy and I’ve never had anything like it before! (and no I didn’t eat both, hubs and I shared one and then we took one home) 🙂

You may have noticed the blog has been a little quiet lately and it’s
mainly due to our BRAND NEW website and the release of our Spring
Collection! I’m SO happy and excited to finally share them with you all
and I’m actually just relieved that I may be able to get more than 3
hours of sleep now. LOL! But really, I’m very proud of our new website
and my sister and I are even more excited for our fun spring pieces!
I’ve been wearing them tons lately and I think (hope) that you guys will love
them as much as we do. I’ve got a jam packed week ahead with several very fun events that I’m looking forward to, one being the Madewell shopping party that I mentioned in my last post. I will be bringing some of our new pieces to style with their clothing so you can try some on and see it in person! 🙂 I really hope you guys can make it.
