I’m stocking up on a few favorites and a few gifts.
1. Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kit – Traveling to see family is always essential during the holidays and I hate not having my products with me when I travel.  I love Alterna, especially the kendi oil and love that this set comes with a travel size of it and shampoo, conditioner and hairspray.
2. Oscar Blandi Travel Set – Whereas the Alterna set is great for your essentials, this travel set is perfect for styling if you happen to be high maintenance like me and have to have your styling products as well. 🙂  I love Oscar Blandi dry shampoo and I don’t tend to bring dry shampoo with me while I travel even though I use it so often at home.  So happy to have this set now!  Contains: Pronto Invisible Dry Shampoo Spray, Pronto Heat Protect Spray, Pronto Instant Glossing Cream
3. Smashbox Cream Eye Liner set – I have this and I’ve almost used it all up so stocking up on a long time favorite.  If you like cream liners, I highly recommend this!  The pigment is beautiful and they glide on super easy.
4. L’Occitane Hand Cream Collection – I know I’m not the only one obsessed with this hand cream.  I have the dryest hands during the winter, it’s so annoying.  But having this hand cream on me at all times has definitely helped.  A great gift set to give or receive!
5. Lorac Lip Gloss Set – perfect gift set!  I’m thinking about breaking it up and adding it to a few of my girlfriends’ presents along with a few other goodies.
6. Jurlique Rose Love Balm – I just discovered this a few months ago but it became an instant fave.  It’s definitely rose scented so if you don’t like that, they do have a naturally scented one although I haven’t tried it yet.  I love that you can use it on any spot that’s a little dry, your lips, cuticles, basically anywhere on your skin that needs a bit more moisture.  Just a dab of this and it’s an instant cure.  I don’t go anywhere without it.  (it’s only $6.50 and it lasts a long time)

You know me and my love for J Crew!  Take advantage of their 25% off their entire site and free shipping over $150.  Ends tonight!  Use code OURTREAT and 3% cash back from ebates.

A few items I’ve been coveting.  I’ve ordered them to see how they work out (luckily all this stuff is returnable!)

Tweed Jacket
Lace Blouse
Polka Dot Sequin Top (see it on PhiPhi here)
Peplum Jacket

And some items that are on sale already so the extra discount makes it a FAB deal!

Tipped Peacoat
Lady Jacket
Silk Boy Shirt
Cafe Capri – I have these in several colors, I always get them on sale (see them in pink on me here) size wise, I find that they run big so I always size down.
Schoolboy Blazer – as seen on me in my last J Crew shopping post
Toothpick Cord – these fit slimmer than the matchstick cord (seen on me here) if you were wondering the difference.
I’m really trying hard not to buy too much stuff so I think sharing the deals on my blog is helping me cure the need to buy everything 🙂

LC Lauren Conrad Holiday Collection + more sales & discounts

Did you see Lauren Conrad’s latest collection for Kohl’s?  I LOVE it!  Every piece is so cute and perfect for the holidays.  I spotted these over on her website and fell in love.  Kohl’s has a coupon for extra 15% off with code HARVEST (ends Sunday) so I picked up a few things.  I have a few LC Lauren Conrad pieces that I got a while ago (you may also remember I did a video with Kohl’s which was when I was introduced to the line.) and I have to say the quality is fantastic for the price.  Also, the LC line runs more true to size than some of their other lines which I like as I find that almost every thing else at Kohl’s runs a little larger.
Love love these pieces…

You may already know that Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale is going on right now, which also means that the Designer shoe sale is coming soon! Shopping with me: J Crew and Madewell Sale

Lots of great sales going on right now and I was very excited to see J Crew and Madewell running an additional 30% off sale promo!  Unfortunately it ended online but I wanted to post my faves from the sale as the sale prices in stores are often time better than online.  For the ones that I didn’t mention the price, it’s the same online but the ones that I noted the price, it’s cheaper in stores.

Schoolboy Blazer – wearing size 00

Please excuse the fact that my pants are the exact same color as the blazer so it looks like I’m wearing a weird orange suit!  I do love the schoolboy blazer and own it in several colors.  This orange is perfect for the fall but I passed as I didn’t need another blazer right now.

Dream V-Neck Sweater – ($49.99) not on sale online – wearing size Small
Tippi Sweater ($49.99) not on sale online – wearing XXS
I’m a fan of bright sweaters with jeans or dark cords so I loved the neon yellow sweater.  It’s a cashmere blend and very soft.  I tend to size way up on sweaters as I don’t really like tight fitting sweaters.  For the Tippi, I tend to get the XS or the Small (see the small on me here) but I do love the Tippi, it’s one of my favorite styles.  I tried on the XXS just to see how it fit but yeah, too tight and a bit short on the length for my taste.
Click for the rest of my sale finds at J Crew and Madewell

Liberty Perfect Shirt – Wearing size 0
Cashmere Cable Sweater ($149.99) not on sale online – wearing XXS
I love the look of the printed button down underneath a sweater.  I tried it with this combo and the one below and thought it would be a good way to mix things up.  I didn’t get either but will be trying this look out with what I currently have in my closet.
Gingham Stretch Perfect Shirt – wearing XS
Rugby Stripe Boatneck – ($19.99) – wearing XS

And then onto Madewell which I found lots and lots of cute stuff.  In stores, everything was additional 30% off like J Crew was having.  Online, Madewell is running extra 25% off sale items and free shipping over $100, use code YIPEE.  In stores, the additional sale makes it final sale but it doesn’t look like it does online.  Madewell tends to run more true to size for me than J Crew so everything I’m wearing below is what I normally take in sizes.

Leopard Spot Tee ($19.99)
Newsprint Jacket ($99.99 – it’s actually cheaper online!)

I have a shirt very similar to the Leopard print one from Forever 21 so I didn’t get this one but thought it was a cute top to wear under cardigans and blazers.  And also for $19.99 plus 30% off, it’s a great deal!  The jacket is really cute and fit nicely in the shoulders and arms.  I’m trying to wean myself off jeackets and blazers since I buy them all the time so passed but I do like it.

Dotted Silk Boyshirt (not on sale)

I need more sweaters as I have more blouses than anything in my closet and loved the colors on this cozy striped sweater.  I have a few of their boyshirts but have no idea why this one is so long on me!  I guess it would be fine tucked in but it really was much longer than their other ones.  I love the polka dot jeans but since I already have a pair I passed.
Dotted Chambray Boyshirt (not on sale)
Floral Jeans ($39.99)
Blank NYC Floral Printed Jeans ($69.50)
Skinny Cords ($59.99) not on sale online

Madewell is my favorite for jeans and cords as they fit me really well so was very happy to see all the markdowns on them.  I was pretty tempted to bring home the floral jeans on the left (for less than $30, it was such a good price) but I knew I’d get more wear out of the gray floral ones so got those instead.  And these cords are SO soft.  They are the thinner much finer cords which I find to be more comfortable.  I showed much restraint not buying them because I love how comfy they are but my closet is full of colored pants already and I knew that I just wouldn’t wear these as much.

The orange cords that I’m wearing throughout the post are also from Madewell. They are the Skinny Ankle Cords and fit true to size.  The polka dot top that I’m wearing on the first picture is from OASAP.  Also wearing our Enamel Bow Pendant and if you want a bow for your phone too, you can get it here!

How to Style: Cozy Cardigans

If you follow me on instagram you may have seen this recent outfit.  On those cold, gray and rainy days, this has become my uniform, a big cozy sweater, tee, leggings and booties.  It’s such an easy formula and easy to change up!

My latest Chanel obsession. Would love to bring her home but yikes the price!
1. Chicwish Cardigan – this is one size only and it fits a bit big on me in the body and the sleeves.  I figure for big cardigans it’s okay if it’s a bit big though, it’s kind of the look!
2. T by Alexander Wang
3. J Crew Pixie Pant – I told you about these pants before but I love them!  If you are a fan of Lululemon’s Wunder Under pants (Big fan here!) I would compare them to those but “fancy” version of them.
4. Dior Nail Polish – Purple Revolution
5. Revlon Lip Butter – Strawberry Shortcake – I have several Lip Butters but I tend to wear this or Creme Brulee the most.
6. t+j Designs Gold Chain Link Bracelet | t+j Designs Gold Jewel Tone Crystal Bracelet | t+j Designs Gold Textured Chain Link Bracelet – get 30% off your order by claiming an offer on our Facebook!  Just like our page and the offer will be there for you to claim.
7. Stuart Weitzman Booties – mine are similar but the elastic part wraps around the front too.  They’re really comfy!  I wore them all day long shopping and my feet didn’t hurt at all.

Read more for another way to style and my picks!

Another
easy outfit to switch it up is with jeans and a blouse.  I like the
contrast of the patterns with some simple gold jewelry and fun red nails.

SheInside Cardigan
use SPOOKY20 to get 20% off your order and free shipping at SheInside
Rag & Bone Jeans
SheInside Blouse
t+j Designs Double Wrap Chain Link Bracelet
t+j Designs Gold Spike Bracelet

Since I’m a collector of sorts (once I find something I love, I‘m obsessed with finding more) I went on a hunt for more big cozy cardigans.  Lots of cute options out there!  The one thing that I hate though?  I have no room to store them! These kind of cardigans take up so much room on my shelves that I don’t have room for more!  LOL!

1. Chichwish – I have this one too. I like the one I’m wearing better but this one is still cute to mix things up.
2. D.E.P.T. – great price and 30% off

3. BB Dakota – I like her outfit.  I need a pair of skinnies in that color.
4. ASOS – love it in the black and white and belted.  I’m going to try out this look!
5. ASOS – pretty colors!  I might order this one.

6. Romwe – a few other cute color options.  This would be cute with the first outfit too.
7. Romwe – I actually think this would be really cute paired with a simple gray dress and black booties.  I’ve been asked a few times about Romwe quality and the sweaters that I have are pretty good quality.  I’d say it’s a better than Forever 21 or H&M.  Maybe like Zara quality.  And sizing tends to run small.  However it does depend on what you get but in general, the sweaters and blouses have been good quality for the price.

Saks Friends & Family sale – my picks

If you didn’t already know, Saks has Friends & Family going on right now and that to me means time to stock up on SHOES! 🙂

(Oh and don’t forget to click through Ebates to get 5% cashback)

I’m a bootie lover.  I mean I live in Seattle, I need all the boots I can get to get me through the next 9 months of rain and more rain.  I tend to like booties rather than tall boots as I find that they are more versatile.  And I also have a harder time finding tall boots to fit my legs but booties are much easier to find.  Loving the platform of the Alejandro Igelmo and the B Brian Atwood booties.  The lower cut on the ankle tends to look better on me since I have short legs so I tend to go for these.  Although the Jean – Michael Cazabat booties are a bit taller, I love the zipper and cap toe details.  They also come in tweed which is gorgeous.
Alejandro Ingelmo | Jean-Michael Cazabat | B Brian Atwood
My first love will always be pumps.  In the past few years have accumulated quite the collection of round toe pumps but am now loving the pointy toes.  I adore the shape of the Alice + Olivia pumps, now to decide which ones to get, the glitter or the snakeskin?  I love them both!  Am also wanting more printed shoes and how darling are the Kate Spade polka dots? (They also come in black and white!)  The Tory Burch leopard pumps would go with practically any of my fall outfits.
Alice + Olivia Glitter Pumps | Alice + Olivia Pumps
Kate Spade | Tory Burch

Also wanted to mention that my B Brian Atwood pumps that I got in the summer are available in a few different colors.  I love these and may take advantage of the 20% off right now and get them in the glitter version.  Also, if I was getting married again, I would totally wear the rhinestone covered ones, aren’t they so pretty!

They brought back my favorite booties that I wear all fall/winter, the Rag & Bone Lovell booties and they are Friends & Family eligible!  See the lookbook here and also on me here.

Now to narrow down my shopping cart… Decisions, decisions.

Sale Shopping

Just a quick shopping post.  I had to return a few things and stumbled upon the additional 25% off sale at J Crew!  I know they had 25% off online last week so it looks like it’s the stores turn this week.

I found a few things that aren’t on sale online but a great price in stores.

The Jules dress (in retro jade) was $119 + 25% off in stores.  Also, my picture makes it look super blue but it’s more of a teal like on the J Crew site.  I’m wearing the 00 and the fit is great in the shoulders, sleeve length and overall length. (For reference I’m 5’2″ and usually wear a 0/XS)  I love shift dresses and haven’t found a long sleeve one that fit right so am really loving this one.  I’m sure I’ll be wearing it a lot in the fall.

The Matchstick Cord (in sweet lemon) was also on sale for $54.99 + 25% off.
The only color I saw on sale was this yellow but it’s not on sale
online.  I’m wearing my regular size and fit is great.  These cords are
actually really soft and comfy.  You know how some cords can be a bit
stiff and tight?  These ones are more of a relaxed fit which I really
liked.

I’m loving this retro jade color that they have in several pieces.  I actually already have the blythe blouse in this color but saw that it was on sale for $59.99 and the extra 25% off makes it a really good deal!  I love the cafe capri pants and have several different colors.  They were also on sale in store but they didn’t have my size, but they are on sale online.

 Blythe Blouse | Cafe Capri
Speaking of pants, can we talk about the Pixie Pant?  For some reason, I hear a lot about the Minnie Pant and the Cafe Capri but the Pixie Pant seems to get no hype, however, I was looking for a nice pair of skinny black pants and ordered these in my last order.  They are awesome!  I would describe them as leggings x 10 in awesomeness.  🙂  The material is nice and thick and they suck you in at all the right places.  It also has a zipper so unlike most leggings that are always falling down, these ones actually stay up and in place!  They really are a mix of a pant and a legging.  I think they will make great travel pants.  Sizing wise – I stayed with my regular J Crew pant sizing and got the “short” inseam which is still a little long but not too bad.
At Nordstrom, I saw that the floral blazer I wore on Monday’s Lookbook is now on sale for 50% off.
Lush Blazer (comes in 3 other floral prints and a polka dot print too)
If you follow me on instagram you may have seen that I went to look at the Prada Saffiano totes again.  They put out a few new colors and I love this gorgeous burgundy (the official name is Bordeaux)
On another note: I’m giving away a pair of Seychelles shoes from PB&J Boutique, make sure to enter if you haven’t yet.
And we’ve got a great giveaway for my jewelry line!  Just like our facebook page and let us know your favorite piece from our line and you’ll be entered to win a $200 shopping spree!  Go to our facebook page to enter.

Striped Blazers

I love blazers and probably have way too many in my closet but during fall and winter, I wear them all the time so I definitely get my use out of all of mine!  I’ve been gravitating towards printed blazers lately and with yesterday’s post with the floral blazer, it got me thinking about my favorite striped blazers and how I need to re-work them into my wardrobe as I kind of forgot about them.

This favorite of mine was a gift from my mother in law last year.  I wore this early in the summer with a blouse from H&M.  I find that print on print is much easier to do with a blazer rather than trying to mix a print with a top and pants.  Just keep it in the same color scheme and you should be good.

Here’s another look that I wore last fall (see the lookbook here) and I think I will be pairing this blazer with another pair of colorful jeans again.

My favorite ever has to be this one from Anthropologie.  I remember I had first seen it on Chloe and I ordered it online right away.  I just love the detail of the stripes going a different direction on the lapel.  This was is a bit more dressy so I always feel I have to get more formal with it but I’m going to try to work it to a more casual look.  Now that I don’t go into an office, casual is more my thing and I’m certainly not going to be putting on tights to sit in my home office!

Lookbook here and here

Looking for a striped blazer for your own wardrobe?  Here’s a few that I love!
