Did you see Lauren Conrad’s latest collection for Kohl’s? I LOVE it! Every piece is so cute and perfect for the holidays. I spotted these over on her website and fell in love. Kohl’s has a coupon for extra 15% off with code HARVEST (ends Sunday) so I picked up a few things. I have a few LC Lauren Conrad pieces that I got a while ago (you may also remember I did a video with Kohl’s which was when I was introduced to the line.) and I have to say the quality is fantastic for the price. Also, the LC line runs more true to size than some of their other lines which I like as I find that almost every thing else at Kohl’s runs a little larger.
You may already know that Nordstrom’s Half Yearly Sale is going on right now, which also means that the Designer shoe sale is coming soon! (it’s usually starts about a week after the half yearly but I don’t have confirmation yet.) I’ll give you updates on what I find out from my SA. Here’s a few picks from the half yearly. Everything is 40% off! (And if you shop online, use your ebates! Nordstrom is 3% cashback)
I am on such a neon kick, I can’t help but want to pick up everything that is bright, bright, bright! And because accessories are the easiest to wear (and more fun, I think) I’ve gotten a few things that I’ve been adding to my outfits non stop.
I was in China all last week so I’ve been a bit MIA since practically every website is blocked there (even Pinterest! my ultimate online addiction). Anyway, I’m so glad to be back in the cool Seattle weather as China was blazing hot and they aren’t ones for AC over there so even inside it was HOT HOT HOT.
I got super lucky on the trip over as they bumped me up to business class and let me tell you, that 14 hour flight was awesome being able to lie down all the way! I had to send a photo to my husband of all the leg room that I had.
And I love the fancy meal presentation too 🙂 If only I could fly business class all the time!

It was so awesome to come back to see our necklace featured on WhoWhatWear.com as that is one of my favorite websites! And thank you to the readers who emailed me to let me know about it, you guys are the best! The Highlighter Necklace is nearly sold out so get one now before they are completely gone! 🙂 The bracelet version and the pink version is still available!
I love sharing pictures and seeing everyone else’s pictures, which I tend to do on my facebook page, but seeing as almost everyone I know is on instagram, I finally joined! My username is tiffanyish, I tried to follow everyone on my facebook/twitter but let me know if you are on so I can follow you too!
my first instagram!
Did a little shopping when I got back and was happy to see that Madewell was still having a sale and on top of it, all sale items were an extra 30% off! Here are the things that I tried on and the 3 sale items came out to be about $110 total!
Left: Soft Silk Boyshirt – not on sale but love the color. I have quite a few of their boyshirts and love the fit of them. See the gray on me here. Sidestep Skirt – it’s cheaper online but I got it for $34.99 from $68 so still a good deal!
Right: Market Popover – not on sale online, I got it for $34.99. Skinny Skinny Ankle Colorpop Jeans – a bunch of colors on sale but I don’t have any dark purple so I had to snap these up since I love my red ones. These are way cheaper in store, I got them for $41.99!
I’ve got lots going on the next few weeks but hoping to get some time to finally enjoy the nice Seattle weather. Lots of new styles coming to our jewelry line too which I’m super excited to share with you guys. We are learning lots as we go with our new business and I truly appreciate all the support you guys have given us from the beginning. Next month will be our ONE YEAR anniversary! I can’t even believe it, it’s been such an incredible experience and watching it grow has been amazing and just makes me so happy to finally be doing something that I truly love and am so passionate about.
I had to just pop in and let you all know that me and my sister’s jewelry line was featured on the Today Show today! Our bamboo bangles sets were chosen to be one of Jill’s Steals and Deals so for today only, they are 77% off! They are originally $78 and now they’re only $18!
You can only buy it on this special site and it’s only available for 24 hours so if you love the bangles, check it out! We also have a few other featured specials for 50% off so take a peek and hopefully you’ll find something else you love!
Thanks so much for your love and support! Ever since we started the jewelry line, everyone has been so incredibly kind and supportive and I appreciate it more than you know! OK I promise, back to regular posting soon. 🙂
P.S. For the west coasters, the segment is going to air at around 9-9:30AM so if you want, you can see them on TV!
I know, I know, I’ve been talking about it tons but just a little reminder that my Madewell shopping party is tonight! (Madewell Bellevue Square, 7-9:30) I’m so excited to get to style some outfits and hang out with everyone that is coming! I thought for my readers that aren’t able to attend, I’d put together a few fun outfits before the event as they have a ton of great spring new arrivals that I’m loving and I can’t wait to try them on tonight! Since I’ll be styling with my jewelry line tonight, I added in some pieces here too! (And remember if you come tonight, Madewell is offering 20% off $150+, 25% off $250 or 30% off $350! And an extra special discount for t+j Designs too!)
Oh and a tip if you are ordering online, ebates is offering 4% cashback!
Happy Shopping and can’t wait to see some of you tonight!
P.S. I’ve never been much of an animal print girl but I’m loving animal print pumps lately! Check out two ways that I’ll be wearing mine over on the Smarter blog!
I took these photos this weekend when we went out for a casual little breakfast/snack at Grand Central Bakery. Those delicious looking things are their seasonal danishes which essentially is a super flaky croissant like pastry covered in a maple glaze. It’s so yummy and I’ve never had anything like it before! (and no I didn’t eat both, hubs and I shared one and then we took one home) 🙂
You may have noticed the blog has been a little quiet lately and it’s
mainly due to our BRAND NEW website and the release of our Spring
Collection! I’m SO happy and excited to finally share them with you all
and I’m actually just relieved that I may be able to get more than 3
hours of sleep now. LOL! But really, I’m very proud of our new website
and my sister and I are even more excited for our fun spring pieces!
I’ve been wearing them tons lately and I think (hope) that you guys will love
them as much as we do. I’ve got a jam packed week ahead with several very fun events that I’m looking forward to, one being the Madewell shopping party that I mentioned in my last post. I will be bringing some of our new pieces to style with their clothing so you can try some on and see it in person! 🙂 I really hope you guys can make it. Thanks to those of you who’ve sent me messages letting me know that you are coming, I appreciate it and can’t wait to see you and hang out! pssst… I’ll also be giving out a little present + exclusive discount code for my readers that come! haha, a little incentive never hurt right?
Oh and our new site has the capability to create accounts so that you can login and won’t have to always put in your information every time you order and you can create a wishlist etc… If you create an account with us this week, we’ll give you a $10 credit to use on your next order!
I haven’t shot many lookbooks lately. In between the weather, how dark the day gets and my husband’s schedule, it just hasn’t been happening. But last week, I was inspired to take a lookbook (mostly because our new collection came in) and I actually took these photos myself using the tripod and remote (major props to all you style bloggers that do this all the time).
If you are wondering, I am not embarrassed easily so I totally didn’t care who saw me. (I was in an industrial area and I had guys in hard hats walking by and being
funny asking if they could be in the picture :), men siting in their
pickup trucks watching me and construction going on right behind the
wall that my tripod was standing.) I’ve done self lookbooks outside a few times already and to be honest, I actually think it’s fun. I wouldn’t do it in a super crowded area but the area I was in was only semi-busy so if you are inspired to shoot self portraits outside but are embarrassed to, just be confident and smile at the people that are looking at you. You have nothing to be embarrassed about, all you are doing is taking pictures. I’ve seen much crazier things done in public 🙂 Everyone was super nice to me, some even crossed the street so they wouldn’t be in my picture and I chatted with a few people. The only factor that has me concerned about doing this often is someone running up and stealing all my camera equipment since I have to be away from the tripod. (my husband worries about this so he got me worried.) So that’s why I don’t do it very often but it’s always fun to see the pictures that I shot when I’m done, it’s kind of like a surprise roll of film where you know what’s in the pictures, you just have no idea how they turned out! It’s definitely not easy and I’m not just randomly shooting as I do have a few tricks that I do to create the kind of pictures that I want, but it’s fun to see if they turn out right. As long as you have the kind of shot that you want in your head, it’s a lot easier to set up the photos. Oh and of course, make sure your settings are right. I shoot on manual 100% of the time even on self portraits and the first thing is I adjust the settings, find my focus point and then base my composition from that. Anyway, I won’t get into it unless you guys have questions which I’d be happy to answer in the comments, but I’ve heard so many people say that they don’t want to bug their boyfriend/girlfriend/brother/sister/roommate about taking photos for their blog so I’m here to say, go out and do it yourself! It’s totally possible. 🙂
