These booties have to be one of the best buys at the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. They’re under $80, the quality is so great for the price and they are really comfortable to walk in. I stayed true to size with these however if you like to wear thick socks with your boots I would go up a size.
I wish I could still wear my stilettos but let’s be real, once I have two little ones running around, my days of stiletto wearing will go down. I’m still a fan of heels though so block heels have been my jam. I love these black pumps and they even come in a really pretty lilac velvet. Go up half size as they run a bit small.
I don’t care how impractical shoes for babies are. I will always love baby shoes and put my baby in them! 🙂 Freshly Picked moccasins are my favorite shoes for babies as they are not only adorable but really soft and easy to put on/take off. Best of all, they are really hard for the baby to kick off! If you know babies, they can kick off socks and shoes like nobody’s business. I had a few outings where we started off with 2 socks on and came home with none!
Shoes for pre-schoolers
My 4 year old is quite the fashionista and is actually very particular about her shoes. I like to put her in shoes that are easy for her to take on/off herself but also are cute and comfortable to do lots of running and playing. Nike and Adidas are staples in our house for both me and her and these ones are our current favorites. The white Nike shoes are on sale for the Anniversary Sale! Mom tip: We replaced the laces on the with these self tie laces!
Being pregnant, I know that the farther along I get, I’ll just want to wear comfy sneakers every day. I tend to go for fun colors (see my rose gold ones below!) and I knew that I could work pink/blush in with most of my outfits. The are nice and lightweight, perfect for summer. I already own the Nike Thea in several colors and they are really cute with jeans so I had to get them in this pretty light pink color as well.
My rose gold Nike’s are old (got them last year) but you can get the same version of these shoes in pink on sale at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! They have been really popular on my instagram so had to share them here. These run true to size.
These pink Nike Epic React FlyKnits are not on sale however, I always get requests for cute sneakers and by the time I post them, they are sold out! I wanted to post these ASAP while they are still available, but hurry sizes are going fast! The color is “Pink Pearl” and they literally are the most perfect pink sneakers. I adore them and love that they fit snugly so I don’t have to wear socks. I personally don’t like wearing socks, but if you do, I recommend sizing up half size to one size up.

I’m super excited about so many pieces that I got and I just want to wear it all already! I pulled together a few outfits that I’m planning to wear to transition from summer to fall from my favorite pieces from the Anniversary Sale.

NOTES ON SIZING:
I’m 6 months pregnant here but I’m wearing all of my regular sizing to share with you how everything fits. I’m wearing a belly band over my jeans so you’ll see that below but other than that, nothing is maternity. I’m 5’2″, size 0/XS and I usually stick true to size for most of the brands at Nordstrom. Almost everything I’m wearing below is a size XS or 25 in jeans. If not, I noted it in the descriptions below.
SUMMER TO FALL OUTFITS
As it starts to cool down but it’s not quite fall, one of my favorite combinations is a sweater and shorts. Sweet and simple! This sweater is only $30, comes in 3 colors and fits true to size.
I love a cute ruffle top! This is a thicker knit so it can be more dressy and great for the office. Comes in 5 colors in both regular and petite sizing.
Toss a long cardigan over and comfy ankle booties for a cute mommy appropriate outfit! I will be running around with my daughter in most outfits like this!
Just a note that I ordered a ton of boots but they’ve yet to arrive so I’m using boots that I got at Nordstrom last year and linking to the very similar styles on sale this year.
COZY SWEATERS FOR FALL AND WINTER
My favorite thing in the world during the winter is a long cozy sweater. Love the fit of this and the roll neck style. It’s also super soft! I’m wearing a size Small here and it fits great over the bump but I wanted to check the XS so that’s on the way to me too. I would stay true to size with this sweater.
This little peplum sweater is also a great one to wear to transition from summer to fall. It’s a soft, thin knit and it does run a bit big as even with my belly I have plenty of room.
I love to pair thin soft knits with cardigans so you don’t have to deal with the bulk. Being petite I find that adding bulk can make me look even shorter. Now that I’m pregnant, I definitely do need any more bulk! This ribbed cardigan is perfect for fall and comes in 5 colors.
When I saw this jacket in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale catalog, I knew I had to have it. I was pleasantly surprised how much more I loved it in person! I wasn’t able to grab it in my size, I’m wearing a M but I don’t mind that it’s a bit more baggy so I can wear more layers underneath.
Unfortunately this jacket sold out super fast and I’m not sure they are restocking it, but the pullover style is still available and really cute on!
I always have a few bright colored sweaters to get me through fall and winter and of course the Anniversary Sale did not disappoint! This is a fave and love the bright colors it comes in.
Had to share this jacket again and how versatile it is. It’s definitely going to be a fave this winter and I’m on a hunt for similar styles to share with you guys!
I usually buy a few cashmere pieces during the sale but this is the only style I ended up getting this year. The buttons on the sleeve make it so cute and I love the pretty pink color.
One last cardigan but this one is at the top of my list! I love the lavender color and the cable knit. It’s not super cute online so I’m glad I spotted it while I was in store.

I went to the Nordstrom Bellevue location yesterday for a special brunch, where we got to eat at the new restaurant called Department Bento and see a presentation of some of Nordstom’s best items on sale. They were even kind enough to provide us with a gift card to shop! WHAT I BOUGHT AT THE #NSALE
I ended up buying a ton for both me and my daughter (more on that later) but wanted to share ALL my favorite dressing room finds. Just a reminder, at this time, the Nordstrom Anniversary saleis only open for Nordstrom cardholders to get early access to all the sale prices. Public sale starts on the 20th! THE BEST TEES, TOPS AND SWEATERS AT THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
Just a quick review of everything I tried on but keep scrolling to see all the items on me!
I tried on a bunch of tees (some were not on sale but reasonably priced) as the fall is all about cardigans and jackets and wanted some great fitting tees to wear underneath. Love all these!
These are all such great basics that will take you from fall to winter. I tried to stay away from too much black as I wanted to add some more colors as I own way to many black and gray sweaters.
So many good jeans on sale! Now is the time to stock up. You’ll see these on me below but here are my top 4 choices for skinny jeans for petite women (but really for anyone who wants a good pair of skinny jeans.)
Keep in mind I am 6 months pregnant in these photos and I’m trying to shop for items that I can wear after my pregnancy! I have crammed my bump into my regular size jeans as it’s my goal to get back into shape once the baby is here. I’m hoping I can do it!

In almost all the tops/sweaters I am wearing a size XS and the jeans I’m wearing are size 25. I’m 5’2″ and most of Nordstrom clothes fit true to size for me.
THE SWEATER TO WEAR ALL WINTER
Starting off with my favorite sweater. So cozy and love the long length! Will be great all winter and is super snuggly. Comes in lots of colors. I’m wearing the size Small here but I ended up ordering the XS so I could compare sizing.
These are the AG jeans and the amount of distressing is perfect! As you can see I rolled them up to fit the ankle height of these shoes, but will be great to wear with booties in the fall.
I’m loving a bit of a preppy look so this cardigan is perfect! Comes in quite a few colors and I like that it’s a shorter style cardigan as I bought quite a few long cardigans for the fall.
A cashmere sweater is a must have and you need to stock up during the Anniversary Sale. You won’t get better prices on cashmere anywhere else. Love the button detail on the sleeve!
I have a ton of basic sweaters so I love that they updated this one with the balloon sleeves. So cute and will be a staple in your fall/winter wardrobe.
A ruffle sleeve top is always a win in my book! I love having these kind of tops for casual days but you still want a fun element to your outfit. The Rag & Bone skinny jeans are a great dark wash and fits great.
I saw this cardigan comes in petite sizing which I’m going to try. I’m wearing the regular XS which I found to be a bit too big/long on me but I think in petite it will be perfect!
This is my favorite outfit of them all. Mostly because it currently fits my pregnant body the best! haha! I only have this photo of the jeans but these are hands down my favorite jeans of them all. If you have yet to try Frame Denim, please use the sale as an excuse to try them. I promise, you won’t regret it! They are the most comfortable, stretchy, skinny denim by far. And this gray is the perfect color to mix in for fall and winter.
The top is also right up my alley. It’s a soft knit, super comfy, very forgiving in the belly area and comes in 4 colors. I’m wearing the XS so I would say it does run a bit large.
You saw this sweater above but wanted to style it with a different tee as well. I love the cardigan/tee/jeans combo and will be wearing it a ton in fall. As a die hard Nordstrom fan, how could I resist the “but first, Nordstrom” tee? 🙂
Also, kind of a funny side note but the tee has a wrinkle right by my belly button so it totally looks like I have an outie but no, my belly button is still firmly an innie! Just thought it was funny especially with my baby bump it totally looks like it!
I thought this cable knit sweater was such a pretty color and wanted to incorporate it into my wardrobe. I grabbed the non sale tee because I like the thick knit and at $29 it really is still such a good price for a nice basic. I find that spending a little bit more on basics is worth it as they do last longer and don’t end up losing their shape in the wash as much.
If you are looking for a good basic blazer, this is it! It’s a thick knit that’s great for casual or at the office. It’s also super easy to wear so you can dress it up over a cute little black dress or looks great with jeans and a tee.
This photo does this cute hoodie cardigan no justice. It really is so much cuter on and I plan on living in it this fall! Although this Madewell tee is not on sale, it’s a great buy at $24. Madewell has always made great basics that last forever.
I had spent so much time shopping for clothes for me and my daughter by the time I got to the shoe section, I was beat. I didn’t try these on but I have ordered them all online so will report back when I get them.
If you have yet to try out cut out booties, these are the ones to get! They are so flattering on and thank goodness for block heels, they make them so comfortable.
I love to see the styles that Stuart Weitzman does for fall and he did not disappoint with these slouch boots. I got them in the natural color but I love the black too.
I’m a big fan of the block heels so I couldn’t resist these platforms. They are surprisingly comfortable to walk in and will look so cute with jeans and dresses. The cut out booties come in a few colors and I’m loving the white ones too!
You may have seen these on my instagram (see below photo) and I have them in rose gold but they are one of my most comfortable pair of Nike sneakers! I wore them to the airport on my last trip and my pregnant feet were thanking me because they were so comfortable and really easy to take on/off at security. They run true to size, however I don’t wear socks with them. If you plan on wearing size, I would go up half size!

I worked for Nordstrom a really long time ago. I worked in the Point of View department in college (just during the anniversary sale) and then after I graduated, I worked in the corporate office in a few (mostly HR) positions where we were asked to work the floor on the first day of the sale every year. I LOVE the Nordstrom Anniversary sale and I have had a Nordstrom Visa credit card since I worked there. I use it for not only my Nordstrom purchases but everything else too! I shop at Nordstrom so much that those $20 rewards notes that they send out are like gold to me. I love being able to apply it to my Nordstrom purchases and even made my husband start using the card so I could earn more points.
Head in store on the first day!
Don’t just shop online, you have to go in store! Why? Because a lot of times things look way better in person. Also, you get the personal experience from the sales person who’s seen all the merchandise and can show you styles you may be interested in as well as all the colors that pieces come in. Trust me, I worked many Anniversary Sales (this was the days before online shopping was crazy) and I LOVED helping customers find exactly what they wanted. It was so fun to shop with customers all day long.
The best days to shop
If you can, try to go the first Wednesday – Friday as the first weekend is usually pretty nuts, at least in my area. Usually there is a big area in each department that is roped off for the early access. It looks super exclusive but don’t be afraid to go in there! Just head in and let someone know you want to shop early access (if they didn’t already approach you) and you can let them know if you already have a Nordstrom card or if you want to sign up for one.
My Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Strategy
I admit, I get nervous about missing items so, I’ll stay up late just so I can shop the sale on the night everything is released. I usually go through my bookmarks, add everything to cart and then cull my cart from there. I then go to my local Nordstrom store the next day and I try on those things that I had purchased just so I can make sure if I need another size or color, I can get it right there. What can I say? I’m serious about the Anniversary Sale and hate missing out on the best items!
SHOP SHOES & BOOTS FIRST
Especially boots! Those always go first and if you have a popular size, they go quick! I find that shoes don’t get restocked as much as clothing so I always shop for shoes first.
These Stuart Weitzman boots (reg $775, sale $489.90) are gorgeous and I’m hoping I’ll be able to snag a pair!
A few short booties that are classic and versatile. I love that they always have great styles that will last through a few seasons. The booties with the metal detail (reg. $109.95, sale $69.90) come in a few colors, I’m eyeing the black and camel. The open side bootie (reg. $119.95, sale $79.90) also comes in white! If you remember from last year, white booties were really trending so I think they will be even more popular this year.
I got a pair of tall camel boots last year so I probably won’t get another pair however I can tell you that I highly recommend them to everyone. They ended up being just as versatile as my black tall boots but it was great to mix things up and not always be wearing black in the winter. These knee high boots are $224.95 regularly but on sale for $149.90!
Shop Fall/Winter Staples + Workwear Essentials
Sweaters, jeans, and coats are always at the top of my list and I think everyone else’s too! I have a few sweaters from 4-5 years ago from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale that I still wear all the time. One thing I wanted to mention is that a lot of pieces that are great for work are some of the ones you’ll want to pick up first. I always feel like I tend to look at the casual items first but by the time I get to the more polished workwear pieces, I can’t find my size.
All of these items are going on sale for around 30-40% off. For pricing details head to the catalog and then bookmark the actual product link so you can add to cart when the sale starts!
I usually recommend shopping for bags/accessories last, but I spotted this tote and thought it was such a great tote for work and even a great baby/diaper bag!
On the casual side, there are so many coats, jeans and shoes that I’m eyeing! My favorite denim brand is FRAME denim as they fit my body so well and the crop length are perfect for shorties like me. There are a few that will be on sale including these skinny jeans and straight leg jeans that I’ll be buying!
I know, UGG boots? But I can’t deny how comfy and warm they are! Living in a colder climate, they are an absolute necessary so I always get a pair from the sale. They go fast though (the kids UGGs too!) so make sure to grab your size as soon as you can!
These mules look so cute on, it’s one of the shoes I’m really looking forward to getting!
Shop online for jewelry, accessories and beauty products
You can find some great deals for jewelry and accessories and especially for beauty products but I don’t leave too much time to shop for them in store. I find that you can usually get those deals online and then you don’t have to worry about dealing with crowds. The only thing is, for beauty products, you may want to head in store for the items that you want to test out to see if the colors work for you. If you are just buying beauty tools or items you already own and want to stock up on, online is your best bet!
I’ll do another round up of the best beauty products to buy as there are a lot of brands that don’t usually do sales that have Anniversary Sale specials. You really don’t want to miss out on the MAC Sets and the Laura Mercier palette!

1. T3 Flat Iron & 2. Hairdryer: My favorite flat iron and hairdryer by T3 is on sale! I admit it seems like a lot to spend on hair tools but after using them for awhile now, I understand why expensive tools are worth it. They just last longer and they do the job much better!
3. Aveda Hair Essentials: I’m such a fan of Aveda hair products and just saw that they have this essentials kit as part of the sale! It’s only $39 and you get shampoo, conditioner, thickening tonic (great to give your hair fullness and volume) and the best hair spray.
4. Revitalash: I haven’t started using this yet but I’ve heard amazing things! It’s basically buy one get one free right now! I’ve used other lash growers before and had great results, it’s just that you have to keep on buying it but for now I’m happy to get this deal!
5. Erno Laszlo Cleansing Duo: The Sea Mud Deep Cleansing Bar alone is already worth this set! This is one of the best cleansers I’ve used. I’m not usually one to use a bar but I tried this out on recommendation from an estethician friend and I am a cleansing bar convert! My skin feels so clean after I use it and it has helped keep breakouts away.
6. Clarisonic Mia Fit: I’ve been using this for about a year now and as much as I love the other clarisonic tools, this one was a clear winner once I started using it. I love the shape of the Mia Fit compared to the ones with the longer handles as I feel like I can really control where I’m cleaning my face. Oh and I just rub the cleansing bar on it to get the soap on it and the combo of the two has been fantastic for my skin.
I also wanted to mention that T3 also has the hair dryer and flat iron in compact sizes which makes it great for putting in your gym bag or for travel. Both work just as well as their regular size versions and are just so cute! Get the hair dryer here and the straightener here. I just got mine and they are coning with me on our weekend trip!

I’m kind of obsessed with little details for the home. I’m always buying little things to add to every corner of my house and I change things up every few months or so to make it feel new and fresh. Below are some of my favorites from the home sale that I use year round and happy to see that they are on sale!
1. Canvas Wall Art: How cute is this? I totally want it for my office but I currently don’t have any more wall space! I’m going to need to take something down to make room for it. It’s just too cute!
2. Stemless Wine Glasses: Even if you don’t get these for yourself, they make for great gifts! I just can’t resist drinkware with cute sayings on it.
3. Nap More Pillow: I have a few ghost chairs in my office and I always like to add pillows to them to not only make them more comfy but it’s also cuter. This pillow is perfect and it’s probably a motto that I should follow more often 🙂
4. Mini Candle Set: I actually love small candles more than big candles as I tend to get sick of scents really fast so I love having smaller candles to have more variety. These ones smell so good and are perfect to make your home smell fresh and clean.
5. Chic Happens Trinket Tray: I am all about having little dishes and trays all over my bedroom because I tend to take my jewelry off in every room so having a little spot for them ensures that I don’t lose anything.
6. Fragrance Diffuser: I tend to splurge on diffusers. I just love them so much and think that they do an amazing job of making your room smell so good. I keep one in our guest bathroom all the time and usually they are Archipelago as they make the best scents. Anytime I can get these on sale, I jump on it as they don’t go on sale often!

It’s here! Now everyone can shop the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I finally made it to downtown Nordstrom and tried on a bunch of stuff and bought a bunch of stuff! This is a huge long post, but keep reading so you can see all my finds! I think this year is one of Nordstrom’s best years yet! I love so many things. I was so happy with my buys I even had my sales person take a photo of me with my bags before I left. LOL I have no shame but isn’t the wall paper so cute?

This dress was surprisingly one of my favorites. I’ve always been a fan of drop waist dresses – my wedding dress was a drop waist! I just loved the fit and the print of this dress.
Another cute dress, love all the details, especially the fun sleeves! I also love that both were a good length on me and I think it would work fine for anyone taller or shorter than me.
These shorts are one of my favorites ever! Funny story – I saw them on the wall hanging at the very top and I was jumping around trying to grab my size but it was so hard to read the tags (short people problems). I probably looked ridiculous, but I ended up finding my sales associate and she grabbed them for me. I’m so glad I did not give up on them though, they are SO cute. I love the pleats and how it looks like a skirt. They really dress up an outfit.
And I can never resist a cute button up so I grabbed this one and was not disappointed. I love that it kind of looks like a pajama top. I know I’ll be wearing this a lot!
I asked my sales associate to help me grab some more cute tops and she brought me the same top but in this satin/silk material and I fell in love! The color and the material is so pretty. And I know it may be hectic the first day of the sale, but if you can, have your sales associate help you find stuff that you may not have seen. I just told her the kind of tops I was interested in and she found a bunch. They are happy that they will probably get more commission and I’m more happy that I don’t have to leave the dressing room to hunt and can just get cute stuff to try on! It’s a win-win! Ooooh this top… man I told you so many cute things this year. I love this color, the material (it’s lightweight and stays tucked in) and those sleeves! Seriously one of my faves!
This is a great basic sweater with a twist with those bell sleeves. Oh and it’s SO soft. I hate buying sweaters only to find out later that it’s so itchy. This one is not itchy at all and so comfy. The jeans are by Topshop and I although I have so many pairs of distressed jeans, I had to get another. These fit so well but I did size up on them.
This was a top that my sales associate found for me. I loved it but it was too similar to the silky button down top (it was basically the same color) so I passed on this one but I had to show you guys as I still think it’s a cute top.
Another top I didn’t get but I love the details! It’s an asymmetrical hem and has split sleeves as well. I did buy those skinny jeans (they were only $40!). I love dark skinny jeans and I can always use another pair.
This top is so cute, but I also left this one behind. I love it but I know that once the weather turns here I will not be wanting to wear anything off the shoulder and I liked the other tops better.
I have two more online orders that I placed that I’m still waiting for. Once I get those items in, I’ll shoot another video and blog post! I just got back from Vegas and had a blast! Will be putting together a post of my trip soon, but first… the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I was so busy the last few days I finally just got a chance to sit down and look more thoroughly through the sale online. I did place an order before I left so I have a few things on it’s way to me, but I have found so many more things!

THE TOP 6 CAN’T MISS PIECES FROM THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE
So #1 and #2 on the list are is this gorgeous Embroidered Faux Leather Jacket and the Cutout Choker Tee (under $20!). You will wear both all season long. I love the added embroidery detail on the jacket and the price is SO good as it just looks so much more expensive. Pair it with these olive jeans (I’m kind of obsessed with olive lately!) and these edgy ankle boots.
#3 is this simple and pretty Knit Midi Dress. I’m kind of hoarding midi dresses right now as they are super comfy and stylish. Love the color (comes in 2 other colors) and it has pockets! I will be pairing it with a long cardigan which will be perfect to wear with everything all fall and winter. I love initial necklaces as I love to have anything with my daughter’s name or initial on it, but I always find that they are either kind of cheap looking or really really expensive. This necklace is actually perfect and under $50. Also, just had to mention those block heels with the stud details. They are the perfect heel height so that you can wear them for long periods of time and the color/style really elongates the legs as well.
#4 – you really don’t want to miss this peplum sweatshirt. I mean, I love sweatshirts for casual weekend days in the fall and I’ve always loved a “dressed up”sweatshirt so this peplum one is right up my alley. I’m loving velvet accessories for the fall and winter and had to get this cute clutch/crossbody for under $40. Also how cute are those slides. I love the look of loafer slides and have yet to try them out so I’m excited to get these.
#5 and #6 – The Suede Waterfall Jacket and a Tie Front Tee. I think I buy a waterfall jacket almost every anniversary sale. It’s one of my fall must have’s as they are so easy to add on over jeans and a tee and look pulled together. I don’t have this color and think it’s so pretty. The tie front tee might be a bit much with the jacket if you have the tie right in front but if you hide it off to the side it’s less noticeable but when you take off your jacket, you’ll be wearing more than just a plain tee and jeans which is the look as I was going for. Also on my must have’s list is a good pair of high waisted skinny jeans. For someone who is always worried about looking short, high waisted jeans are amazing for making your legs look a lot longer.
