Here it is! The first look at what I shopped at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I ended up working with a stylist (did you know that this is a free service that Nordstrom offers?) who helped me pick out a ton of great pieces so I got to spend my time in the dressing room trying everything on and just making sure I found everything that I wanted.
This year I tried to buy more pieces that would be able to mix and match in several ways. Like a capsule wardrobe so I got a few sweaters, jeans, jackets and boots that all worked well together.

One of the best shopping events of the season is almost here! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale starts July 15th for everyone but I’m sharing my tips and tricks on how to get early access to the sale, plus all the best fashion deals that you’ll want to jump on before they sell out!

WHAT IS THE NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE?
The Nordstrom Anniversary sale is an annual sale and it’s different than any sale! Instead of putting things on sale that are at the end of the season, they introduce all brand-new arrivals (mostly fall and winter pieces), all at a special price!
The sale only lasts a few weeks where you can snag the deals. After that, everything goes back to regular prices. It’s the best time to get your fall/winter wardrobe ready and take advantage of all the great deals.
The sale includes everything from clothing, shoes, accessories, home decor and beauty products.
Tip: Nordstrom cardholders are the very first to shop the sale
WHO CAN SHOP NORDSTROM’S ANNIVERSARY SALE?
Anyone! It’s not limited to a special group however, they do like to reward their Nordstrom card members with early access.
Within the card holders, each status gets to shop at a different time. This year, the top tier icon members can start to shop on July 6th. The next tier, ambassador members can shop on July 7th and then the influencer members shop the sale on July 8th.
If you are not a Nordstrom card holder then you will be able to shop July 15th. The sale will last until July 31 and then the prices will go back up!
If you don’t have the Nordstrom credit card want to get ahead of the general public, you can sign up here. Once you get approved, you’ll be placed in the influencers status and can shop on July 8th! You’ll even get a $60 bonus note when you sign up!

Don’t know what status you are? Simply log in to your account and it will tell you right at the top!

Yes! You can see what will be available during the sale! Browse the preview and the digital catalog to start saving items to your wish list. When the sale is open to your cardholder status level, you will be prepped and ready to add to cart and buy!
CAN I PREVIEW THE ITEMS IN MY LOCAL NORDSTROM STORE?
Yes! Most Nordstrom stores have a section in a special area in each department where you’ll be able to browse the pieces.
In some areas, I’ve heard that they will check if you are nordy club members (your credit card status) before you allowed into the area, however I noticed that in my area, they let anyone browse but they couldn’t buy until they checked their cardholder status.
The best way to know is to call ahead and ask if you’ll be allowed to browse the Anniversary Sale pieces even if it’s before the date for your cardholder status.
Should I shop in store or is everything online?
I prefer to shop in store as I tend to see so much more in store and I can try it all one. But another great reason to shop in store is that you’ll be able to get your size, especially in the more popular styles!
Sometimes online it may show your size available but since things sell out so quickly, orders may end up getting cancelled. So try to make it in store before shopping online for all the top pieces that you for sure want to buy.

I’ve already shopped the preview to share the best of the best with you guys! Here are some things that you are going to want to add to your cart right away! Don’t miss any of these pieces from nordstrom’s biggest sale of the year!
Shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is always exciting since it’s new merchandise that is marked down before the season. This means that it’s the time to stock up on coats, sweaters and fall/winter shoes. I did just that and you can peep all the Nordstrom Anniversary sale clothes and shoes that I bought and tried on but I wanted to share a quick round up of all the best finds to get at the Nordstrom sale right now!
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Fall and Winter Sweaters and coats
This sweater is the perfect length, not too cropped, not too long and goes with everything from jeans to slacks and even a pleated midi skirt. It’s a great skirt to dress down or to wear to work!
A fuzzy coat is a must have in my book! Living in Seattle, we basically live in our coats during the colder months and I love feeling like a teddy bear! Love the leopard lining on this coat and how cozy it is. I’m wearing an XS and would say that it runs a bit big but it is meant to be baggy/oversized.
Do you prefer puffer coats or fuzzy coats? I can’t decide I like them both! This pink puffer was calling my name when I saw it online! I love it however I’m wearing the size S here and it’s too big (the sleeves are extra long on me, I just rolled them up here) so I’m going to order the XS for a better fit. It’s a must have to keep you warm during the cold winter months and will help even in the rain!
A long maxi dress is great for fall as it’s an easy way to dress up but not be cold either! This one is lightweight and has elastic at the waist so it’s easy to wear all day. I love the fall colors and the puffy sleeves.
Nordstrom Anniversary Sale – Must haves for Women and Kids
The best part about being a Nordstrom cardholder is being able to shop the sale early! However if you are not one, don’t worry because there is still plenty of great items on sale. Below are some of my faves and I actually own a ton of them!
I always buy sneakers and boots during the sale, because you get the best prices! I love ankle boots and over the knee boots and I wear them all throughout the fall and winter seasons.
Excited to share all my favorite finds from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I headed into the downtown Seattle store to shop and I was happy to find some really great pieces! The Nordstrom sale is open to cardholders now and opens up to the public on July 28th.
CASUAL LOOKS
I’m all about casual these days so here are a few pieces I found that were so comfy and are perfect for at home or for hanging out at the park with the kids.
I have been loving dresses even for fall so I found these cute little black dresses that are really comfy and love the midi length floral dress as well!
When I do date night with the husband or hang out with my friends, my go-to outfits is a cute top and jeans and a skirt. They had lots of great options! The leopard one is a bodysuit that comes in black as well (I ended up buying both!)
And of course, I had to grab a few basics that I like to wear with a ton of my outfits. I love the ruching on the sleeves to make the long sleeve tee a bit more fun.
I’ll be honest, I wasn’t too impressed with the shoe selection in store. I was hoping for more booties in different styles but they had a few repeats of last years booties, which I own and love but I didn’t want to buy another pair of the same shoe.
These booties below are a new addition and love the chain detail!
I always try to get a few pairs of sneakers during the sale as I love having some options for when I’m running around with the kids. Love the color of this Adidas pair.

What to buy from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2021
Each year, I always recommend making sure to snag sweaters, jeans, leggings and booties from the sale, and this year is no different! A lot of fab finds to get and these will be the best prices to get for the season!
Women’s Clothing Picks:
I always make sure to shop for items to build an easy fall wardrobe. This includes cardigans, sweaters, tops and leggings that I can mix and match. I also always get a new pair of pajamas each year!
Don’t miss all the beauty deals as well! This is the time where I stock up on my favorite perfume, lotions and skincare tools. It’s pretty much the only time of the year that you can get sale prices on many of these items!
And of course, don’t forget the kids! It’s a great time to get all those back to school looks. I always stock up on jackets, vests and rain boots for the girls.

I am a total Nordstrom girl. Growing up in Seattle, I spent so much time shopping at Nordstrom with my mom and some of my favorite memories was shopping during the holidays at Nordstrom! We would spend hours in our local Nordstrom shopping for gifts and I would admire all the decorations that they had up in the store. My girls love stuffed animals so instead of a lot of little things this year I decided to gift them each a stuffed animal that they would really love.
I have to say that my girls are rough on their stuffed animals. They take them everywhere. They eat with them, they sleep with them and they get so dirty. I try to buy stuffed animals that will last through many washes as I need them to hold up well! Nordstrom’s stuffed animals have never let me down and we absolutely love all of them!
Toys for toddler to big kids
My oldest is 7 and my youngest is 2 so it’s quite the age difference in terms of what toys that they like. I love when they play together so I was happy to find toys that both of them enjoy and play together!
We typically do one big gift a year for the girls and I thought that this unicorn playhouse would be perfect for them. I wanted them to start enjoying it early so I set it up for them and they have been playing in there every single day! It’s so adorable, goes perfectly in our play room and the best part, it was so easy to set up!
Gifts for kids under $50
As I mentioned, I wanted to get presents that both girls could enjoy together and I found so many and the best part is that they were all under $50!
The musical instruments are adorable and the girls have had so much fun forming their own band. They even do performances in their playhouse!
And Nordstrom also has a great selection of books for kids of all ages. We love this series of travel books and following Aya & Pete on all their adventures around the world!
I’ve always been a huge fan of shopping at Nordstrom because of their return policy. I never feel like I’m stuck with something if it doesn’t fit or doesn’t work out for us. Since we’ve all been staying home more this year, I’ve done so much online shopping and so i truly appreciate that it’s always free shipping on nordstrom.com! When I need something a bit quicker, I’ve also taken advantage of their curbside pickup and it’s so convenient. I can usually pick up my order in the same day or next day!
