If you haven’t noticed lately, I’m all about the fun tops with lots of details. I’m loving bell sleeves, trumpet sleeves, bow sleeves and whatever else cute details I can find! Today I wanted to share 2 of my favorite tops both under $40 (one of them is only $20!)
This white top is hands down a favorite top since I got it. I wore it with my cute pink jeans and kinda had a Valentine’s day vibe to it. Get the top HERE – I’m wearing the size S/M and it is a bit big/baggy but I think it works since it’s supposed to be a little flowy anyway.
This pink pleated top is a bit more girly but I love the pleated and ruffle details that make it so different from other tops. It’s also really lightweight and comfy so really nice for the summer and very office/work appropriate. At only $20 it’s so affordable and doesn’t look like it’s so inexpensive!
One of my favorite things for fall is to pull out all my coats! I just love coats and admittedly have a lot! One thing that I don’t have is a great trench coat and mostly because I have found that it is always hard to find one that fits right. They are always too long and too big and just overwhelming on a small frame.
When Petite Studio reached out and I clicked over to their site, I was immediately drawn to this gorgeous pink trench! I love that everything they carry and design is specifically for petite girls (5’4″ and under). This trench is just the perfect piece for fall and it fits so well! It’s also my favorite color, I just adore all things that are this pretty blush pink. They did advise me that it runs a little big so I ordered the XXS. It fits great in the shoulders and I love the length. The quality is SO good. It’s a very thick and warm material with a good weight to it. It does come with a belt, I just didn’t show it in the photos.
I also have my eye on this pink bomber jacket – I mean so cute right? And this little white dress? I need! I’m already pairing it with a cozy cardigan and gray over the knee boots! Definitely check them out for some great petite options!
Hey guys! I shot another video and it’s up on my youtube! I wanted to review a few sites that I did some shopping at, Shein and Chicwish. You’ll get to see everything I got, my reviews and my experience with shopping these sites.
It’s been a busy summer already. I’ve been in San Francisco for most of May (more on that in another post) and then Costa Rica for my brother’s wedding!
It was quite the journey with a 2 year old I’ll tell you that. We had 2 flights until we got to San Jose and then my brother set up a private flight for the families, which was quite the experience. It was neat but the planes were so small, it was admittedly kind of scary! And then another 45 minute shuttle ride until we got to the very gorgeous Casa Capitan. My brother and his wife actually rented out the entire property for friends and family so everyone would be close by and they had their wedding on the beach. It was a beautiful wedding and such a great trip. I’m so happy that we could be there for it.
It was super hot and I actually didn’t get much of a tan because I tried not to spend too much time in the direct sun. I wore my hat everywhere! When I was in Chicago last month my sister showed me her cute sun hats with sequin wording and I wanted to try to DIY it. Literally 2 days before the trip, I got the hat at Target, picked up some sequin trim and just busted it out one night. It actually wasn’t too hard but I did get quite a few glue gun burns! It was hard to set the letters at the right angle while the glue was still hot. But other than that, it was totally do-able, in fact, I made one for my daughter too!
Love these Chicwish dresses! Get 30% off everything on their site now!
Adore this fun top I just got, how fun are the bell sleeves? And love my little shadow who loves to be in mommy’s pictures! Lately I’ve been into fun or interesting tops so I picked up this pretty embroidered top from Chicwish as well. I’m eyeing a couple of other cute tops…
I always tend to get more dressed up during the fall. I think it’s because I spend the end of the summer in shorts or easy to wear dresses and never really feel fully dressed up. But when it starts getting cooler outside and I get to play with layers and different textures, it makes me want to put on a full outfit and just feel pretty about what I’m wearing.
I just love the textures of this outfit with the lace and pearls on my top and the tweed skirt which has just the right amount of flare to make it girly and fun. Both pieces are under $40 and with the addition of the luxe bag and shoes and just the right amount of bling, I don’t think you can tell how inexpensive the outfit really is!
The super sweet ladies over at Chicwish sent over a package of some cute stuff. When I opened the package and saw this dress, I fell heads over heels in love! It’s so darling I had to share it immediately on instagram. I don’t even need a special occasion to wear it I’m just going to bust it out during a normal day just so I can do twirls in it 🙂
It’s really cute on, I love the addition of the tulle underneath the skirt to make it a bit more poofy. I got the size small but my chest/ribcage is on the bigger side and it zips up in the chest area but just barely. So just be aware of that for the sizing! They have it in black too!
I also got this maxi dress and I love it as well. The open back is a cute detail. Best part? It’s actually short enough for us shorties so we don’t have to hem it!
I’ve been into sequins lately so when I spotted this sweater it was on my “just ugly enough to be cute” list if you know what I mean. But when I got it I actually liked it on! It’s pretty comfy and love the sequin details!
I had the same thoughts with this sweater but wanted to try it out since it’s so different than anything I have in my closet. I don’t love it as much as the sweater above but still cute! It actually looks really cute paired with my slouchy boyfriend jeans.
I’ve ordered from Chicwish a couple of times now and have always been pleased with my purchases. You can see my last haul from them here. Quality wise, their clothes are still in the “junior clothing” for quality and fit however it’s probably a step above Forever 21 in that the materials they use are a bit thicker and the attention to detail is better. The things that I’ve washed haven’t shrunk instantly or became misshapen or pilly. I highly recommend them, plus they just have a lot of cute styles that I don’t find anywhere else. Sizing wise their smalls fit more like an XS and their “one size” items fits more like a Medium. Hope that helps if you guys decide to order from them!
