Easy ways to transition your outfits from winter to spring

Who else is so ready for spring? We got some nice weather this weekend and although it was still cold out, it was sunny! I recently got some pieces to help me transition outfits from winter to spring.

EASY WAYS TO TRANSITION YOUR OUTFITS FROM WINTER TO SPRING

Check out some of my mom style hacks to help you survive the winter to spring wardrobe transition! You can wear any of these looks from meetings, to coffee to after school pickup! All of these are unfussy, uncomplicated and perfect for that busy momlife we all live in!

Graphic tee and Jeans

Easiest combo ever and I am loving all the cute affordable graphic tee options out now. While it’s still cold out, add a cozy cardigan sweater.

Dressy sweatshirts

I can wear sweatshirts all day every day but I also want to look put together. Look for sweatshirts with a pretty pattern or lace details like these ones I’m wearing to dress up your look.

Stripes and Dots

Stripes and dots are the easiest patterns to pair with. I like to mix and match my tops with various jackets but always with a simple pair of jeans and my favorite sneakers.

Pair a lightweight cotton tee like this with a warm sherpa jacket which will keep you warm but not too hot!

Happy almost 4th of July! My sister and I designed these limited edition fourth of July tees for our line and they sold out super fast. Seems like you guys love booze as much as us! Haha!

What I’m Wearing
t+j Designs tee – only size XL left
J Crew Shorts – these are old but they now have these cute heart print ones
Prada Wedges – old but I just bought these wedges and I’m obsessed!
Chloe Bag – apparently the mini Marcie is hard to find these days! I was only able to find it at Saks here. I talked to several SA’s at Nordstrom that can’t believe I have one as they only carry the small crossbody style but nobody has the mini Marcie. Here’s the small size which I have as well, it’s really not that small, don’t let the name deceive you but it is a good size. I love the Marcie!
Bracelets | Earrings

I hope those of you in the US have a fantastic fourth! We are still figuring out our plans but I’m sure it will be filled with lots of hamburgers, hot dogs and fireworks. Oh and of course, lots of rosé for me! 🙂

TOP JEANS NECKLACE BAG SHOES

My favorite ripped jeans, a relaxed tee and nude heels is my go to outfit lately. I love this swing tee, it’s super comfortable and is a bit nicer than just a regular tee so I don’t look super casual. And you know I love adding a good statement necklace to most my outfits but I’ve really been feeling this tassel necklace that has been a best seller in my line for awhile now! There’s just so many ways you can wear it but my favorite is to just tie it in a knot like this.

What I’m Wearing
Forever 21 Blazer – Found another cute polka dot blazer for only $18. You could get the same look with this cute striped blazer.
Forever 21 Dress – do some print mixing with stripes or dots!
Chanel Pumps – not available online, these are similar, love the pointy toe. Looove these gold metallic cap toes for a much better price point!
Chloe Mini Marcie – I never thought I’d get so much use out of a little red bag but I just adore this bag. This Saint Laurent is a gorgeous red. If you are wanting a “mini” bag, I’ve got my eye on the mini Pashli. So cute!
t+j Designs Necklace – we have new arrivals this week! I’m completely obsessed with all our new bracelets.
Double band ring + Pave ring – I get asked all the time about where I got my double band ring, it’s so simple yet such a great ring for everyday wear!

If you’ve read my blog for awhile you know I love the mixing of the high and low items and this outfit definitely shows how you can save on your outfits and splurge on your accessories! I love this checkerboard dress and is a favorite buy from Forever21! I know, it’s a bit late in fall for this outfit again but I’d totally pair this with tights and boots as well.

What I’m Wearing
ZLZ Coat (c/o) – the quality of the jacket is nice, the lace is not the cheap kind that wrinkles at every point and the coat is lined inside. It’s a great spring to summer coat. Loving a few of their other lace pieces like this dress and this blouse.
J Crew Tunic – wearing a tunic definitely helps hide the bump especially when I’m not wearing maternity jeans. Take 40% off all sale today only! Use code WEDNESDAY. Similar tunic and on sale for $39. I also like their popover style too in this pretty blue.
Rich and Skinny jeans – I rarely wear snakeskin print but love the print of these that make them stand out from the rest of my jeans and will definitely be wearing them through the fall.
Gucci heels – same style in black.
Chloe Mini Marcie – also here in a gorgeous gray. Definitely one of my top favorite bags and probably favorite purchases of the year!

What I’m Wearing
SheInside Sequin Sweater – Wearing sequins during the day is totally acceptable when it’s a bit more subtle like on this sweater. I love the shiny sparkles that go along with my necklace! If you don’t want so much sequins, check out this cute sweater. Just the right amount of sparkle.
J Crew Polka Dot Jeans – I wear these more than I should admit. It seems weird to have polka dot jeans be your go-to jeans but for some reason they just go with everything I own and are just so darn cute. Madewell also has polka dot jeans. If you want a better price option, these Lucky jeans are just as cute!
Alice & Olivia Heels – I LOVE these shoes. See a closer up pic of them here. They are so comfy and look great on. I’m in love with my navy and black pair. I can’t find them online anymore but they have this style in a ton of colors and styles. I found them on sale here in Emerald and Garnet
Chloe Mini Marcie – I wasn’t kidding when I told you guys I was obsessed with mini bags! I was shopping with Yvonne, ogling bags as we always do when we came upon this little bag. The sales associate told us it just came in that morning. I pretty much snatched it up and didn’t let it go. After some thinking and enabling by Yvonne I decided to go for it. I don’t regret it at all. I adore the bag! The size is a tad on the small size but it helps me declutter what I usually carry in my bags which is a good thing.

I finally got a haircut! I’m a bit behind on lookbooks so you’ll see some mixed in with my long hair (like this one). After seeing these pictures, I’m so glad I finally got it cut. It was driving me crazy with how long it was! Isn’t it funny how we go through phases of wishing our hair would just grow quickly but then when it does you can’t wait for it to get cut? I go through that all the time!

BB Dakota Vest (on sale for 40% off) – I was a bit cold in this outfit so added the furry vest but took it off when I went inside. It kept me surprisingly warm! Also love this really furry vest. The length looks a bit better for me as this one is a tad long.

This past weekend my sister was in Seattle visiting (and I got to see my precious nephew who is getting cuter by the moment) and we did a photoshoot for our jewelry line on quite possibly the coldest day ever. It was 28 degrees when I checked the weather and my sister showed up at my place wearing a skirt and no tights! She braved it and looked fabulous of course but next time I’m definitely not going to pick the coldest day ever to be outside for an hour long photoshoot!
