My go to Salmon for holiday dinners

I cook often for my family, but when it comes to large groups, I get scared of trying to cook for so many people and end up ordering food. We started hosting a lot more parties at our house and we do a lot of entertaining during the holidays so I finally found a recipe that I’m comfortable serving! It’s fast and easy to do and it always turns out delicious! I love shopping Walmart Grocery where I can pick up fresh and organic ingredients.

The ingredients are so simple which is why it’s important to pick up really fresh ingredients. I love shopping Walmart Grocery as I can order online and pick up in store. They even offer delivery which is so awesome for those of us short on time! I usually don’t mind picking up though as I pick up my daughter from school and then head over to Walmart and my order is ready for me! They have a great selection of organic vegetables and fruit and I can always trust that it’s fresh.

I also love that I can add in other items to my order like beauty items, things for my kids and even fresh flowers! It’s so nice to be able to do all my shopping in one stop!

There’s really not a lot to the recipe, I just take some fresh salmon and cut up vegetables, I love zucchini and squash, but you can customize it to your liking! And then I just cover everything in olive oil and salt and pepper. You can then add anything from a marinade, I love this Korean BBQ one, a simple lemon and honey or even hummus and balsamic vinegar. It’s the best in that you can really customize it to what you feel like making that night!

You can cook everything in the oven and then I roasted a side of small potatoes and it was delicious! When you have more people just add more salmon and vegetables. So simple right?

My go-to Travel Moisturizer | Olay Regenerist Whip

I have been traveling so much this summer and honestly nothing has made me happier! I love that we’ve been able to take so many family vacations as I love seeing the world through my kids’ eyes. We’ve been to a lot of sunny climates this summer and I am always worried about how my skin is going to react to all the sun and dryness. When the seasons change, I tend to switch up my skincare and beauty routine. Now that Summer is almost here I am doing just that and have been on the hunt for a new moisturizer that will work with my skin during the warm Summer months.

I am so excited that summer is almost here. We really enjoy spending time outside doing activities as a family and now that the weather is getting nicer, I wanted to kick off the season with a family picnic with my daughters.

Selfcare with Olay Sun

The first few months after having my baby was tough. Not going to lie, it was hard the first time and it was just as hard the 2nd time around. I didn’t make too much time for myself during that time but now that Edie is 6 months and is not as attached to me, I am finally getting some time to myself including getting back into my skincare routine. Now that it’s spring and thinking about vacation and all the time I’ll be spending in the sun with my girls, I’ve been wanting to get some new SPF products into my skincare. I recently started using the Olay Sun Face Sunscreen + Shine control with SPF 35 which has been perfect for my daily skincare routine.

I like to layer the products that I use, and it pairs perfectly with my favorite eye cream and moisturizer. I love that it’s lightweight and easy to apply. The shine control is also an added plus! I love that my face isn’t shiny throughout the day.

We are getting ready for a fun tropical vacation so I’m definitely packing this sunscreen to take with me. It’s a great size that fits into my makeup bag easily.

Now that I can dedicate some “me time” I am all about the Selfcare Sundays. It’s great to have a day to make sure that I am taking care of myself, whether it be with skincare, getting a massage, getting my nails done or even just having some time to sit and listen to a podcast. I usually just take an hour or two to do what I want, and it sets the week off in a really good note. After all when mommy is happy, the kids are happy! 🙂

SPF is one of those things that we can easily forget. Especially living in Seattle, which is not the sunniest city, however, even when the sun isn’t out, it’s still really important to put on SPF to protect your skin.
