This weekend I went to return some of the shoes that I got at the designer shoe sale at Nordstrom and while I was there, my SA mentioned that they had the list for Louboutin pre-sale (the sale starts on the 14th) so thought I’d give you a heads up and share my favorites. There wasn’t much left, as you can imagine, the sale stuff gets sold out pretty quickly but here are the 3 that really caught my eye.

Louboutin Summerissima – I can’t find the closed toe version online but the price is the same.
Louboutin Volpi Poppi – totally gorgeous on! I’m hoping my SA can find these in my size.

Louboutin Piou Piou 85 – these are gorgeous but I like the 100 or 120 heel so they were a bit too short for me. A great work shoe though!

While I was out, I stopped by J Crew to see what they might have marked down and found these adorable bow blouses! I love them and could not decide what color/print to get. All of them are marked down to $59.99 in store.

Silk Bow Cami Garden Floral – both tops I’m wearing the 00 and fit is like a typical XS
Silk Bow Cami – gorgeous color in person and comes in green online too.

Featherweight cotton cardigan – I really liked this colorblock cardigan as well. I’m wearing the XXS here and didn’t love that it came up a bit short on the waist so got the XS instead which was better.
Silk Bow Cami in Neon Rose Stripe – after much debate, I got this top. I loved it so much that I wore the day after I bought it. I love the big bow!

You may remember that I brought home the smaller Prada Saffiano Lux Tote on my Nordstrom Half Yearly sale shopping post but I ended up returning it because I just felt the size was too small. I’m back to debating on the larger size and tried it on in both the black and dark nude color. I’m loving both however, there’s a new style (the top handle open tote) that just has one zipper in the middle and a shoulder strap (the one below does not) that I’ve also put in the running.

So between the black and the nude, which one do you think I should get? The color of the nude is off in these pictures, it’s a bit more camel but not as yellow and a little gray. I just can not decide what color to get!

What I’m Wearing
Top: Forever 21 (no longer available) – love this star print top, pricey but super cute star print Equipment blouse.
Jeans: Rag & Bone cobalt jeans (this season’s version) – also these Rag & Bone jeans are such a pretty color and on sale.
Booties: Prada – nothing super similar but these booties are a great alternative and under $100.
Bag: Vintage Chanel
Jewelry: t+j Designs new collection! Black Colorblock Cuff, Black Faux Leather Square Bangle and White Faux Leather Square Bangle. (not yet released bow necklace)

I took these photos this weekend when we went out for a casual little breakfast/snack at Grand Central Bakery. Those delicious looking things are their seasonal danishes which essentially is a super flaky croissant like pastry covered in a maple glaze. It’s so yummy and I’ve never had anything like it before! (and no I didn’t eat both, hubs and I shared one and then we took one home) 🙂

You may have noticed the blog has been a little quiet lately and it’s
mainly due to our BRAND NEW website and the release of our Spring
Collection! I’m SO happy and excited to finally share them with you all
and I’m actually just relieved that I may be able to get more than 3
hours of sleep now. LOL! But really, I’m very proud of our new website
and my sister and I are even more excited for our fun spring pieces!
I’ve been wearing them tons lately and I think (hope) that you guys will love
them as much as we do. I’ve got a jam packed week ahead with several very fun events that I’m looking forward to, one being the Madewell shopping party that I mentioned in my last post. I will be bringing some of our new pieces to style with their clothing so you can try some on and see it in person! 🙂 I really hope you guys can make it. Lookbook: Photo Bomb

What I’m Wearing
*Forever 21 Sweater – It’s only $12.50 but I’ll tell you, probably best to wash on delicate and line dry. I made the mistake of not doing that and it’s now completely shrunken and misshapen. A better alternative might be this cute textured knit from Anthrpologie. I’m also loving yellow striped sweaters like this one or this one with wider stripes from Gap.
*Madewell Rail Straight Jeans – a bit baggier than their legging jeans that I usually wear.
*Happy Scarf Polka Dot Scarf (gifted from Happy Scarf) – This scarf is super soft, I often just keep it on when I get home because I love how soft it is and how warm it keeps me.
*Vintage Chanel Bag – borrowed from my mom. She’s not the original owner as she bought it vintage about 10 years ago so we’re not sure exactly how old it is but it’s still in fantastic shape.
*Prada Booties – my favorite and they are from last year. I got super lucky last month and found them on the sale rack at Nordstrom in purple! Low cut booties definitely work better on my shorty legs so I love the Cole Haan booties or these Vince Camuto booties (on sale!) which are great alternatives to my Prada ones.

Kimberlee from I have a degree on this did a post on “dog photo bombing” in fashion bloggers photos that I thought was so cute. And although mine is not a true photo bomb (mostly it’s a forcing my dog to be in my picture. lol) Macho’s been “photo bombing” mine lately, mostly out of necessity. The only time we brave it outdoors these days (it’s mainly too cold/windy/rainy) is when we walk the dogs so that’s also when we take outfit pics. I get so insanely jealous when I see the outfit photos of bloggers that live in Southern California because in every picture, they actually have sun. And they are wearing shorts. SHORTS! I can’t even imagine pulling out shorts right now. Sometimes, I get so cold that I have to wear leggings under my jeans! Nobody is jealous of that. Nobody. haha!

I used to do shoe collection posts whenever I got new shoes and then I just stopped. Don’t really know why, but thought I’d bring them back! 🙂 Got these pretty Prada pumps on sale about a month ago and they are definitely one of my favorites. They’re super pretty on and the color is a great tone on my skin and the bows are just too darn cute. The perfect shoe, I could say! Except for, since they were on sale, I had to buy a size down and well, I never recommend doing that but I HAD to because I loved them so much and since they were on sale, my size was nowhere to be found. I took them to Nordstrom to get them stretched (FYI, they don’t charge for that so if you ever need to do that for your shoes, take it to them!) and it helped but they aren’t completely comfortable yet. It’s okay though, I love them so much that I can deal with them pinching my feet a little!

Lookbook: Ruffle Shorts

How much do I love ruffle shorts? It’s like a skirt but shorts! And my new Prada puffer flats which are the blue versions of my black ones that you guys have seen before. I had to snap them up when I saw them at Nordstrom, they are just too darn cute! Went out for burgers and milkshakes later on at Lunchbox Laboratory which used to be a tiny little shack (literally) and is now a swanky burger joint. Talk about an upgrade! I am a sucker for their habanero ketchup. Let me tell you it’s the spiciest thing EVAR but oh dang, it’s SO good on hamburgers! Hubs is not a fan of the habanero ketchup but he loves the burgers and especially because you can choose your sides – he always gets the tator tots! I always choose between the skinny fries, tator tots or sweet potato fries. I like to mix things up. Which side do you like best for your burgers? For those of you in the states, Happy 4th of July! Have a great long weekend! I’m hoping to see the sun come out and spend lots of my time outside!

Forever 21 Cotton Comfort Top

Aritzia is much like Zara, super cute stuff but you can’t buy anything online! I love the sweatshirt I’m wearing. I’m not a huge sweatshirt girl, even on lazy days you don’t find me wearing sweatshirts but once I tried this one at Aritzia, I had to get one in every color. It’s the perfect slouchiness and so comfy! But this Forever 21 would work too. It’s pretty cute in the light blue as well!

I can’t find mine online but these black ones look a bit more versatile. I absolutely adore the print of these heart print shorts. So cute! And for a little side ruffle, check out these cute shorts. Love!

Lookbook: I wear flats

What I’m Wearing:

People online and in real life always ask me “Do you own flats? Do you ever wear them?” and even people that have known me for a long time have yet to see me in flats but in fact, I do own quite a few of them and I DO wear them! Just not as often as I wear heels. I wear flats a lot more when I travel only out of practicality because we usually spend the day walking/touring the cities and I don’t want my heels to get ruined but by the time I get home and I’ve been in flats for the majority of the time on my vacation, I am ecstatic to be back in heels. There’s something about wearing high heels that just feels comfortable to me and is what I prefer to wear. I used to completely loathe flats and never wore them, even for long outings but after some foot troubles I now have accepted flats into my wardrobe and I do love them. (I also started taking a Potassium supplement, as recommended by the podiatrist, to deal with foot cramps that I often get.)

One of my favorite things about these jeans is that they can go from heels to flats in seconds! Just roll the hem up and they are perfect for any shoe. I often go out wearing heels but will bring a pair of flats in a shoe bag and keep it in the car or in my handbag if I know I’ll be walking a lot. This has saved my feet (and my shoes!) many times so I highly recommend doing this. I love these Prada flats and most recently wore them all over San Francisco but the majority of my flats are the Tory Burch Reva flats which I am a huge fan of. I have them in so many colors and they are super slim and really easy to carry in my handbag.

They also have this blouse in petite sizing which I wish I had gotten as mine is slightly too big. This Bow-Detail Blouse is also a great blouse, especially for the summer. I am loving the print of this Leifsdottir ruffled blouse. Super cute!

Banana Republic Hannah lace front cardigan

My cardigan is all sold out but isn’t this one from BR so pretty? I just bought this Forever 21 Rose Print Cardigan which has a pretty lace trim and is so cute paired with shorts. The Cropped Lace Cardigan is really cute too and would look great over a cute floral sundress and keep your arms warm(er). Even on sunny days my arms get cold so I always like having a lightweight cardigan option!

Joe’s Jeans Honey Straight
Straight leg jeans are a lot easier to roll up than skinny jeans and I often do like the look of the cuffed jeans.

I found my flats here but there’s only 2 sizes left and they are on pre-order. I also love the eyelet perforated bow flats and the super adorable pink striped flats.
