I’ve been wanting the Chanel Vanity Case for a really long time and I finally got my hands on one!
It’s important to do a lot of research when it comes to buying chanel bags online. I’m glad that there are quite a few reputable Chanel resale sites to shop at now!
If you are a fan of the Chanel Vanity case and been wanting to get this bag, read on for my honest review and where you can buy new and pre-owned Chanel bags.
CHANEL VANITY CASE REVIEW
The good: Obviously I bought it because I love the style. Just something about the quilting and the boxy shape that I love. The bag comes with a CC shaped lock and key which is a cute detail and it works. You can take the lock off and lock the bag, but I doubt I’ll actually use it. It’s really easy to carry both on your shoulder and as a cross body. Even as a top handle, it’s still very comfortable and the strap isn’t too long so it doesn’t drag on the ground.
The caviar leather is very firm and sturdy and I don’t have to be as gentle with it as I do with lambskin bags. There’s two inside compartments and a small zipper section in the middle so it keeps your things very secure.
Mine is the medium size which I think is a great size to carry all my essentials. I love the look of the mini but I don’t think I could tolerate how little it could hold.
The bad: I’m going to tell you the truth… it’s not my favorite bag. It’s hard to open and get stuff out of and especially if you are in a hurry (like when it’s raining and you just need to get your house keys out of your bag) forget it. It’s definitely does not make my list of Best Designer Bags for Moms. It’s the perfect bag for going out to dinner, happy hour with friends, but do not take it out to run errands with a 4 year old. I guarantee it will drive you mad if your child is anything like mine and is constantly making me hold things or ensuring I have snacks in my purse for her.
Overall thoughts on the Chanel Vanity Bag
Although it’s not the most practical bag, I still love how it looks and it’s very comfortable to wear. I’m happy with my purchase and I think (or I hope) that it’s a style that I will continue to love for years to come. I don’t buy a lot of bags so the ones I invest in I want to make sure that I will wear it for a really long time.
The Chanel Vanity bag has a long wait list and not the easiest bag to find at stores. You can call your local Chanel store and ask to see if they have one available or if they can put you on the waitlist.
If you’d rather just find it yourself, keep an eye out on resale sites like ebay, Fashionphile, Vestiaire Collective and even Poshmark has a great marketplace for designer bags as well. It definitely is not a bag that is on resale very often as I think it’s still new enough and trendy enough that people are keeping theirs but I do see them occasionally. I waited until this navy blue/black combo popped up as I really wanted a darker bag but I didn’t want the all black one.
SIZING AND COLORS
There are 3 sizes:
Small – Size: 5.1’ x 6.7’ x 2.8’ inches – which is really like a mini size bag
Medium – Size: 6.3 x 8.3 x 3.1 inches – what I have
Large -Size: 6.7 x 9.4 x 3.9 inches – the large has the advantage of the bag fulling unzipping so that it opens up all the way whereas the other ones are locked in so that’s why it’s so hard to get stuff in and out of it.
Colors vary by season but the classic ones are the black, navy, nude and nude/black combo. I’ve also seen pink, green and silver. For spring 2018 Chanel did the bag in white and it is SO PRETTY!
I really love that this bag can go with all my casual outfits and also looks great dressed up. It’s a great bag for the winter but even though it’s dark I think it will look really cute with white jeans in the spring and summer.
What to wear with your Chanel Vanity Case
I admit, I’m easily swayed by things I see on other bloggers and influencers. I spotted this on so many girls I follow on instagram and I just became obsessed! Here’s a few of my favorite bloggers with the bag. I was really torn between the one I got and the nude/black combination. It’s such a great bag though, I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the colors!
Finally, a review of my pink Gucci Marmont bag! If you follow me on instagram you’ve probably seen this bag so much as I carry it ALL the time. In the photos below, it looks like all different colors because of the lighting and filters but in real life it’s a very vibrant pink. I was super hesitant getting this bag because of the color. I just wasn’t sure if I would wear it a lot and also that I might regret it. Well, I was wrong because I’ve carried it so much this summer and I am 100% happy with the purchase! The pink surprised me with how well it went with everything. In my video I share my thoughts on the bag, what I actually carry in it and you can see the 3 different ways to wear it.
Here’s a few ways that I’ve worn it this summer. As you can see I’ve been obsessed with my white jeans. LOL I didn’t realize that every photo I’m wearing the same jeans but I love the white with the pink bag so I guess I just really stick with the same combo when I love it! I know I’ve mentioned it before but I’m all about the fun and detailed tops this season. Off the shoulder, cold shoulder, bell sleeves. I just love having a variety of cute tops to pair with my favorite jeans.

I will always love doing my makeup and sometimes I can take an hour to get ready when I want to. However, on most days, I have so much going on in the morning and getting my daughter fed and ready is much more important than getting myself ready. I recently was introduced to Maskcara Beauty by a blog reader who wrote me a super sweet email and gave me the most incredible rundown of the makeup line and what it could do for me. I get millions of emails a day pitching me things but her email really stood out to me and I was very intrigued.
The makeup line was created by a blogger/youtuber who is a mom as well so I love that she understands the need to have a product that can do everything as efficiently as possible. After watching a few of her videos of how the line was created and how you use it, I just knew I had to try it. I am no expert but I do try to contour as best as I can and I admit I have one too many products in my bathroom to try and achieve the perfect contour and highlight. This product, literally is just 4 products in one very pretty little palette which is really what sold me. I am honestly just tired of having to dig around in my makeup drawer to find every single product that I need. Ever since I started using this palette, my makeup routine is done in about 5 minutes!
Here’s what the palette looks like: It actually comes in those little tins and they are magnetic which makes it very easy to pop into the palette. They designed it this way so that it was very easy to buy what products you needed or if you wanted to change out your colors to take with you on a trip, it would be so easy for you to customize your palette.

And another thing that I love? It’s so affordable. This entire palette including the make up + reusable palette is only $48. You get the foundation, contour, highlight and blush which is basically all you need. Usually for my other products all combined, it’s well over $100!
I created a short video to share my every day make up look using this palette. The video is 5 minutes long and I did speed up the application part but I timed myself while I was doing my makeup and it really did just only take me 5 minutes to do it all!
If you know me, you know that in between my business, my blog, being a wife and mom, the last thing I need is one more thing to take on, but after using this makeup and understanding the business a bit more I have decided to join as an Artist as well! I’m not planning on doing any at home parties or anything like that but because I already share what I buy and what I love on my blog, I just really wanted to spread the word about this makeup as it’s so different than anything else that I’ve used.
So if you don’t watch the video, the basic 5 steps are:
1. Take your foundation color (Maskcara calls it the “highlight”) and put it all over your face, concentrating on the under eyes and anywhere else you’d like coverage.
2. Use the darker “contour” shade to sweep underneath the cheekbones, forehead and a small swipe by your nose. I also like to put it underneath my chin to slim down that part of my face.
3. Apply the cream brush on the apples of your cheeks.
4. Blend! I love using a beauty blender sponge but lately I’ve been obsessed with the Clarisonic Foundation Brush. it does an amazing job of blending my makeup.
5. Apply the illuminator color to the tops of your cheekbones. For an added touch you can add it right underneath your brow bone as well.
Baby Watermelon Blush (can also be used on the lips)
In the video I use the Detail HAC Brush (HAC = Highlight and Contour)

The coverage of the foundation is really creamy and goes on so smooth but also does a great job of covering any spots. I have used liquid foundation before but I really prefer the coverage and the application of cream foundation. I got super sick about a month ago. It was a terrible cold and I was blowing my nose about ever 3 minutes. My nose was so gross and red and I had terrible eye bags just from the lack of sleep as my daughter was sick at the same time. I definitely was not looking too good! But I was truly sold on the line after I used this makeup to completely cover the dark under eye circles and my bright red nose. I even did an instagram story around that time and had quite a few of you message me saying how impressed you were with the coverage of the makeup!
The contour shade is so easy to apply with the Detail HAC brush, it’s basically fool proof, you can’t go wrong with it! I’ve definitely had moments with other products where I put the contour on way dark or in the wrong spots so my face ends up looking just dirty instead of contour-ed but I’ve never had this problem with this contour.
Also because it’s a cream based makeup, I feel like my skin really takes it on more naturally than a powder based contour. The cream blush is also super easy to apply and looks really pretty on as it’s very natural. The blush doesn’t last too long for me, so I do end up reapplying blush during the day but that’s just normal for me as it does that no matter what kind of blush I’m wearing. The great part about the palette is that it fits so easy into my purse that I can take it everywhere with me and I don’t need a brush as I can easily pat the blush into my cheeks with my fingers and blend.
I also have to say that the community around Maskcara beauty is pretty amazing. It’s not just a makeup brand but it’s definitely a great community of women who are there to provide you help with whatever you need to make you look and feel your best with this makeup. At first I felt a little iffy about needing to be someone’s “artist” in order for them to purchase the product but the more involved in the community I understood that it’s not just about you as one person, everyone there is wiling to help each other out and that’s a big reason why I joined. I love that its a brand that supports women and that women are truly there for each other. I have to admit, I found the website quite confusing at first but because I had my artist walk me through everything it made me realize that it’s set up so that you are able to ask your artist questions and to make sure that you are getting the right product for you. We don’t want anyone to be sitting at home just trying to guess what will look good on her and hoping for the best! I’ve always loved blogging as a chance to meet and interact with women like me and I love that this is just another opportunity for me to do more of that!
If you know nothing about how to highlight and contour, no worries at all, the best part about this brand is that there are so many women that are part of the Maskcara beauty team that can help you out! There are plenty of tutorials that you can follow. I especially love these diagrams that show you how to do your makeup depending on your face shape. They really just understand that this makeup is not “one size fits all” and it really is an experience to make sure that you get the best palette or colors that are customized just for you.
Cara, the owner has done many videos on the foundation and this one explains it and really shows how it works.
If you are interested, you can click over HERE to go browse and shop the line. When you are checking out, it may ask you for your artist name so you can put in Tiffany Ish or artist # 3004. If you are not sure what colors to buy, please feel free to email me (tiffany (at) iamstyle-ish.com) or add your email to this form HERE and I will have my Maskcara Beauty Artist contact you. Lexi is a makeup artist who has tons of expertise on makeup and color matching and she would love to help match you and answer any questions you may have. I will also reach out to you just to see if I can help out in any way! (The form is just for me, no one else will see it or use your email)
I’ve been using this makeup every day for over a month and a half and realizing that it’s something that has really benefited me. It’s made my morning routine that much easier. If you are like me, a busy person who is not super comfortable with going out in public without makeup but also not finding enough time in the day for your full makeup routine, I highly recommend trying this makeup out. They have a great return policy so don’t feel like you are stuck with it if it doesn’t end up working out for you but I highly recommend giving it a try!
I have been wanting to check out a spin class for a while so when I was offered the opportunity to check out SoulCycle in Bellevue, I jumped on it! I had NO idea what to expect because I’ve never been to a spin class before. You know the saying, “It’s like riding a bike”? Well a few years ago at a family vacation, I got on a bike (after God knows how many years) and LITERALLY had to re-learn how to ride. Needless to say, I was NOT ready for the intense heart-pumping workout I had just signed up for.
SoulCycle Bellevue is located in the heart of downtown Bellevue. Given the pricing of classes, this is probably the right location / demographic / niche for this type of place. Walking into the studio, the stark white + bright yellow theme gave a sterile feel, but not in a hospital type way…in more of a fresh, happy, modern kind of way. Complimentary lockers, gum and ear plugs as well as hair-ties, bobby pins and razors was a nice bonus!
Upon check in, I got my shoes and bottled water. If you don’t have your own shoes, they are $3 to rent which adds to the cost of the session but they are included in your class fee if it’s your first ride. If you’ve never worn clip-in spin shoes before, they are a little weird at first. Almost like wearing cleats…or at least what I’d imagine wearing cleats would be like! Since this was my first time, I got there early and was able to get on my bike to adjust my seat and practice clipping in + out. There were plenty of SoulCyclers that were willing to help and everyone was super nice!
The dark room is candlelit except when the instructor introduces a new move. During those times, the lights come on the instructor (rest of the room stays dark) and then turn off again. It was nice because for a newbie, it helps to have a visual of the next move. The darkness helps you get in the groove and depending on the instructor and their style of music, it’s easy to get lost in the beat. My instructor was Jenna and I absolutely loved her vibe! I could see myself going to more of her classes in the future! On special occasions (like the night I went), they have a DJ mixing throughout the class which definitely adds to the experience. Almost like you’re in a club but getting a KILLER workout at the same time. The first 30 minutes(ish) was all about cycling to the beat of the music. Sitting, standing, moving from side to side, forward – backward, up – down. Then we incorporated upper body moves using light dumbbells for the last 15 minutes. It doesn’t sound like much but when you’re cycling and lifting to the beat, it’s a FULL body workout! But what I appreciated the most during the class was the cool down at the end. Maybe it was because I was exhausted and felt muscles in areas I didn’t know existed before, but the stretches Jenna took us through really targeted the areas we worked hard on for the past 45 minutes.
To be honest, I didn’t think cycling would be as tough of a workout as
some of the workouts I’ve done before (I’m comparing to HIIT cardio
with weights). I figured you’re *just* moving your legs but it was WAY
more than just moving your legs. It’s definitely a full body workout! I can see why so many people are into SoulCycle as it’s more than just a spin class but there definitely are pros and cons.
PROS
– No membership fees!
– Bright, clean facility with showers (including shampoo, conditioner and body wash)
– 62 bikes that are reserved upon sign up for a class (so no waiting around for an open machine)
– Complimentary lockers, gum, ear plugs, hair ties, razors, etc.
– Validated parking in Lincoln Square
CONS
– Classes are pricey – $28 for a single class (+$3 if you don’t have your own shoes). You can advance purchase packages of classes but there is an expiration date that you have to use them by
– Waiting area before classes start is a bit cramped with only a couple benches for people to sit or put on shoes
– Only 4 showers (I can’t imagine trying to get to a class before work and having to fight for a shower)
– Located in downtown Bellevue which could mean high traffic area making it difficult to get to during peak times
– No childcare
Overall, SoulCycle is a GREAT workout, burning over 500 calories per ride! If you have the time + money, it’s definitely worth checking out and finding an instructor that speaks to your soul. If anything, your first class is $20 and definitely worth trying out for the experience alone.
Thanks Jenna for a serious soul pumping first experience at SoulCycle! <3

It’s that time to switch up my beauty routine, pull out my cutest shorts and dresses and enjoy lots of outdoor time! I love when the weather warms up, but I also need to make sure that I’m ready for the weather change. I’ve partnered with Babble Boxx on this post to share some great products that will get me prepared for the spring and summer.
I love all the great products that they sent over! Most of these brands are new to me so I was excited to test them out and let you know how I’m liking them.
When the weather starts to transition, I tend to feel it most in my eyes due to seasonal irritants. Thank goodness for some great eye drops like Clear Eyes. They offer a full line of eye drops that moisturize for up to 12 hours. I tried out the Multi Symptom Pure Relief and after testing it out, I can tell you that it really works! I tend to get very red, itchy and irritated eyes during the spring so having these eye drops is a life saver! It really relieves red eyes. I just need to put them in the morning and it really helps throughout the day. The bottle is a great size to keep in my purse so on the days where my eyes feel really irritated, it’s great to have them on hand to refresh my eyes. Buy it HERE and get a $3 coupon HERE
One thing in my beauty routine that I could live without? Shaving my legs. I don’t know why but it’s the worst, I am always annoyed when I have to shave. Well, I’m happy to have found an easier (and longer lasting) solution. Nad’s! If you don’t know what Nad’s is, it’s a hair removal cream and in 4 minutes, it painlessly removes all your hair on your legs! I’ve had some irritation before from using other hair removal creams and so wasn’t sure how I would react to this one but because this is the Sensitive cream, it was a lot more gentle and my skin was fine!
I’m become a bralette convert in the past few months. They are just so comfy and who can’t appreciate a comfy bra? I love these Coobie bras, the cups are lined with a soft, thin nylon blend that provides comfortable coverage without the bulk. No pads or wires but it’s still really supportive. I’ve found that it’s a great t shirt bra, especially on those days where you are just lounging around and just wanting to feel comfy all day. I love this pretty color too! Sizing is really easy. Just go by their size chart – Small (28A-32D), Medium (32A-34D), Large (36A-38D). It fit true to size for me.
I really loved this skincare set from Bloom Mineral. It’s a natural skin care line using dead sea minerals to help refresh and clean your skin. The set came with 1) Purifying Mud Mask 2) Shielding Eye Cream 3) Softening Cleansing Milk 4) Moisture Shield. They all left my skin feeling very refreshed and moisturized! It’s so important to me to take care of my skin during the warmer months because of the increase in sun exposure and the dryness of my skin. It’s simple to use and the size is great for travel. Use code skin25 to get a discount on the site, it’s good through June 30. Here’s an easy step by step of how to use the kit:
Clean your face using the Softening Cleansing Milk
Shake the Mud Mask and apply generously to face, leave on for 15-20 mins and wash off (slight tingling is expected and will stop after treatment)
Apply the Moisture shield and Eye Cream
Enjoy your weekend! I’m so excited to head out and enjoy the sun!
Ever since I started using the Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation there hasn’t been a day since I haven’t used it. I didn’t love foundation before but as I get older, the more I find I want to cover up my dark spots and needing to even out my skintone. I love this foundation as it gives really good coverage but it’s also really lightweight and easily blendable with my skin.
I
use it with this foundation brush and I find that it stays on all day.
I also use the lightest shade to dab on as a concealer for any darker
spots that I have.
I was able to test out a few colors to see what worked best for my skintone and actually I’ve been mixing two of them to get the best color. However they have a huge range of colors for every skintone. I also got a deeper shade so I will be prepped this summer when I have a bit of color on my face.
