The best cleansing cloth for dry skin

I believe that the most essential part of any skincare routine is washing your face. I know it seems obvious, but I’m pretty crazy about making sure my face is clean and free of any make up. Your skin is the basis of what you put your make up on so working with a great base is really important and washing your face is the first step to that. I have dry skin so I’m always careful about what I use to wash my face. A lot of products tend to dry out my skin even more and make it feel tight and uncomfortable. I’m happy to have found a product that has been great for my dry skin! I’ve been using the Olay Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths to wash my face every night. Most other makeup removing cloths that I’ve used are already moistened but these come dry and you have to wet with water and then lather to use them. I really love that as you never have to worry about the cloths drying out and I think you end up getting a better clean with them.

These are more than just your regular face cleaner cloths, they take care of 4 very essential steps for any skincare routine: 1. Face Wash – washes away dirt and makeup 2. Toner – tones skin with an essential cleansing formula 3. Mask – hydrates with specialized Olay conditioners 4. Face Scrub – exfoliates to smooth skin’s surface. It’s just amazing that one cloth can do all that! But it really does and makes my skin feel so clean and moisturized afterwards. I am usually someone that uses a ton of products before bed so I love that these cloths really consolidates my routine. Did I mention that my skin feels so great after using the Olay Daily Facials that I can go make up free? I just love that #NoMakeupRequired look!

I love to use these to remove my makeup as it really takes off everything, including eye makeup. It’s also still really gentle on my skin. I think my favorite part is that it also exfoliates while I use it. Exfoliating is so important to me since I have dry skin, so it’s great that I can just do it all while I’m getting my makeup off. I’m such a multi-tasker when it comes to everything that I do, so it’s no wonder why I love Olay Daily Facials so much!

How to wear sneakers from the gym to every day casual

I have admit, I was not into the whole athleisure trend when it first came out. I don’t tend to wear my gym clothes outside of the gym, but recently I’ve been finding pieces that I feel comfortable to work into both my gym and regular wardrobes. Sneakers, however have been my favorite to add to both wardrobes. Since spring, for me, is all about enjoying this gorgeous weather after many months of gray and rain, I need shoes that will be cute and comfy whenever we go out. If you know my husband, you’ll know that he’s a major sneaker guy and Nike’s are pretty much all he owns. So anytime I shop for sneakers, Nike is pretty much the brand that I go to as well. These Nike Tanjun sneakers are not only lightweight and perfect to work out in but the color and style are so cute to wear with all my casual outfits too! Almost every weekend, my husband and I take my daughter to brunch with friends and then we head to the park or playground. I need a good shoe to withstand all the walking/running that we do but I also like to stay stylish even in my “mom” outfits which is why I love these shoes!

You can usually find me headed to the gym in this outfit but since it’s been nicer out, I’ve been really loving going on some short runs around the park. It’s great to wake up in the morning and be able to get a quick run in before everyone else wakes up and I have some peace and quiet to myself.

And this is a typical weekend brunch look for me. It’s still fun and casual but you don’t have to feel like you need to pair sneakers with everything you wear to the gym. The bomber jacket and white jeans make it feel very on trend and of course pairing it with sneakers ensures that I’ll be comfy all day long!

I have to admit, there’s a lot of things that are hard to deal with as I age. Having grandparents pass away and seeing my parents age has put a lot of stress and worry on me. My parents did everything to give us the best life growing up and I want to do the same for my parents as they grow older. Protecting my parents with Bay Alarm Medical Review

The Bay Medical Alarm is a system that you can install in your parent’s (or whatever family member you would like) house that has a simple way to call for help when it’s needed. I filmed a short video reviewing what came in the box, how to install it and my general thoughts about it!

As I mention in the video, I really am so happy to have this service for my parents. They are generally pretty healthy which I’m so thankful for, although we have had some health scares in the past few years and most recently my mom was on vacation and took a little tumble and broke her arm! I was so worried for my mom and was thankful that my dad was there with her when it happened. It just really shows that anything can happen and makes me want to protect them even more.

Installing the unit is so simple. All you need is to plug it into the phone line and into a power outlet and you are good to go! This is the base unit that needs to be plugged in. I installed it in my parents family room where they spend most of their time. It’s great that it’s big and the Help button is bright so it can not be missed.

The wireless wall button is so nice that it doesn’t need to be connected to anything. You will want to place this in an area close to the ground so that it is easily reachable. I decided to put it right by my parents stairs. They have two sets of stairs so I put it in the middle landing so that if anything were to happen if they were heading out the door or just coming in, they would be able to access it.

Obviously, we never know where an accident may occur, so the buttons may not be in a place where it may be easily accessible which is why it’s wonderful that Bay Alarm Medical also has these necklace and wrist band buttons that can be worn all the time. They are even waterproof so can be worn in the bath or shower! They are so lightweight so you don’t really feel them on and I think it’s a great option for both my parents to have this on when they are at home.

I’m so lucky in that I usually see my parents at least once a week but on the days that I’m not with them, I do worry about them a lot. Knowing that they have Bay Alarm Medical in their home makes me feel so much better. My dad still travels a lot for his business and so on the weeks where my mom is home by herself, it makes all of us feel a lot better that if anything were to happen, we have a much higher chance of being able to get to her quickly with this system.

I love shorts and I know most people relate shorts to more casual looks but I like to find ways to dress them up. These lace shorts have become a fave and I’m sure I’ll be wearing them all summer. TOP SHORTS SHOES BAG BAG STRAP

I’ve had this Prada bag for awhile now and I used to carry it a lot but then it got once I got these guitar bag straps, it’s given the bag a whole new life! It’s amazing how one little strap can transform the bag, not only how it looks but the way I carry it. It’s so much more comfortable to carry, I love how thick the strap is so it feels so secure on my shoulder. I get compliments on the strap everywhere I go. Literally I have women come up to me just to ask me where to get the bag strap. It’s one of those things that you don’t realize you need it until you see it! Full disclosure; my friend sells these straps on Amazon and she let me have some so I could help her take photos for her site but I would rave about the straps even if she wasn’t my friend.

SUNGLASSES EARRINGS

This ruffle tee sleeve is literally my favorite tee shirt right now. It’s so soft and comfy and the ruffles just give it an extra little something so even if I’m just wearing jeans and sneakers I still fit a little bit fancy 🙂 It comes in 7 colors and in petite and regular sizing. I’m wearing a regular size XS. I could have done the petite sizing but I like the slouchier look for tees and I like that the regular sizing is a bit longer.

I’ve had these wedges since last summer and they were on repeat last year and since it’s warmed up they’ve become staples in my wardrobe again! They are just so cute and go with everything. They came out with a new version this year. The cutouts are slightly different for the new version but basically they look the same. You can still get my version HERE and the new version HERE.

How cute is this pom pom barrette? I adore it! I have so much hair so finding clips like this is usually hard because I can never find ones that will stay in thick hair but this one was perfect!

One thing in my beauty routine that I could live without? Shaving my legs. I don’t know why but it’s the worst, I am always annoyed when I have to shave. Well, I’m happy to have found an easier (and longer lasting) solution. Nad’s! If you don’t know what Nad’s is, it’s a hair removal cream and in 4 minutes, it painlessly removes all your hair on your legs! I’ve had some irritation before from using other hair removal creams and so wasn’t sure how I would react to this one but because this is the Sensitive cream, it was a lot more gentle and my skin was fine!

I’m become a bralette convert in the past few months. They are just so comfy and who can’t appreciate a comfy bra? I love these Coobie bras, the cups are lined with a soft, thin nylon blend that provides comfortable coverage without the bulk. No pads or wires but it’s still really supportive. I’ve found that it’s a great t shirt bra, especially on those days where you are just lounging around and just wanting to feel comfy all day. I love this pretty color too! Sizing is really easy. Easy outfit ideas for Memorial Day weekend – parties, BBQ’s and get togethers!

I love memorial day weekend as I’m sure most people do as it’s pretty much the holiday that kicks off summer! I can’t help but love adding a little red, white and blue to my outfit but I try to be a bit more subtle about it (and stylish!) so that it’s not like I’m wearing a giant flag. Here’s two outfit ideas, all items are still available in stores so grab them now while you can!

Easy outfit ideas for Memorial Day weekend

We don’t have a lot planned but we usually are pretty active during the weekends anyway, so we will be hanging out with a few friends and generally enjoying what is going to be a beautiful weekend! I’m really looking forward to it. For times like these, I love cute tops with jeans or shorts. It’s pretty much my go to look.

I adore THIS TOP! The stripes, the ruffle, everything about it is so good! It comes in petite and regular sizing which is so great because sometimes when I wear tops like this the ruffle can be overwhelming. I loved that this fit me so well. I’m wearing the PXS. I’ve seen it on a few other people and it looks so good on everyone!

A friend of mine recently started selling these BAG STRAPS and I’m so obsessed with them! I helped her photograph them for her site and now I can’t stop using them. I literally have them on all my totes/bags that have handles to attach them to. They are super easy to attach and they are only $24! They actually make all my bags so much easier to carry cross body as some of the straps that came with the bag were thinner so it made it uncomfortable to use as a cross body strap for long periods of time. This 2nd outfit is great if you are like me and are always worried about being cold. Seriously, it can be 80 outside and I’ll still make sure that my daughter and I have a jacket with us. I love long sleeve dresses so it’s no surprise that I love wearing long sleeve tops with shorts. It’s like my insurance that I won’t be cold on a hot day! This one is so great though, with the tie sleeves it’s basically like air conditioning for your top 😉

The top comes in 4 colors (I really want the pink too!) AND I just saw that it just went on sale for 40% off! I notice that tops like these always sell out fast as soon as it gets marked down so grab it while you can! I’m wearing the regular XS but it also comes in petite sizing.

As you can see I added the studded bag strap to this bag. If you have this Prada bag, you know it gets kind of heavy after awhile and it’s annoying to always just hold it by the handles. Mine did come with a cross body strap but it never was very comfortable to wear so I’m so happy to have something more sturdy and cute!
