Vintage Chanel bag -If you are thinking about buying vintage, make sure to check out my vintage Chanel buying post.  In my opinion, vintage and pre-owned is so worth it especially now that Chanel prices are insane and they just keep going up! 

Funny story about this jacket… I purchased it awhile back and fell in love but then I convinced myself that now with a baby, a nice leather jacket is super impractical and I wouldn’t get my money’s worth so I returned it.  I later found it on sale so I bought it again.  But then again, convinced myself that it was still too much money to spend on a jacket that I could only wear on date nights.  Well, fast forward to about a month ago and I stopped by Nordstrom Rack which I haven’t been in at least a year and what do I see is the exact jacket, just one in my size, marked down to 50% off the original price!  I knew it was meant to be and so I brought it home and have been happily enjoying seeing it in my closet since 🙂  Now that my daughter is older and walking and I’m less prone to getting food or spit up on my clothes, I’m now much more comfortable with wearing it around her.  I just know that come fall, it will get lots of wear!  Funny how some pieces were just meant to be in your closet!

Weekly Outfits: Skirts and Dresses

Apparently it was a skirt week for me but most likely because I was too excited about our new skirts.  I have been wearing them non stop, they are the perfect summer skirt and I can’t wait to pair them with tights for the fall!

This was an easy outfit for the office and unlike how I wore it on my Monday post, I had to add my usual color.  I’ve had this pink blouse forever but forgot about it and recently re-discovered it in my closet.

I got these pumps at the last designer shoe sale and they are my current obsession.  I think I was in the mood for color this day as it’s not my typical outfit.  I love color but usually just let one color stand out.  I think that’s what summer does to me, I like to wear as many bright colors as possible!

These are practically like pajama shorts.  They aren’t, but they are so comfy that they should be!

Our new polka dot skirt that is my favorite out of our collection.  It’s just so feminine and fun, I love the polka dots!  I’ve been asked about sizing and yes, sizing runs a little weird.  We are working on our sizing to be consistent (and we promise that the next collection will have three size ranges) but this skirt in particular runs a bit small.  The small could fit an XS to small, just check our measurements in case you aren’t sure!

Another bright outfit but when I saw this dress on Shopbop, I couldn’t help but order it just to try it on.  Of course when I got it, I fell in love.

A new series! Weekly Outfits

Ever since I had my daughter, it’s been really hard to make time to take outfit photos.  I still wanted to share my outfits so I borrowed an idea from Cupcakes and Cashmere to take weekly outfit photos in my home office!  This way it’s easier for me to just take a snap with my tripod and remote.  Although I do have to admit that I may sometimes forget to take photos or I’m not in my home office that day but I’m just going to do it as I can but will try to make this a weekly series on the blog.  A note about the links: I’ve been doing less shopping these days and exploring my closet so a lot of these outfits are old pieces but the ones that I bought recently and are still in stores I marked with an “exact” in the link.  Other links are similar styles that I could find.

Lookbook: Wide Stripes

What I’m Wearing
Boden skirt – Boden is a new to me brand but I’m loving the pieces that I got.  This skirt is so cute and the quality is great.  It also comes in petite which I love so that the length isn’t too long.  I’m eyeing this pencil skirt, love all the patterns it comes in.
Target Blouse – a cute recent find!  I can’t find this pattern online but I just got it in store so it may still be there. 
Chanel Heels – no longer available but here is a really great look for less.  Love the look of cap toe heels, I’ve been into pointy toes lately so now I have my eye on these Manolos.
Chanel bag – I love that you can now rent vintage Chanel on Rent the Runway, they even have vintage Chanel jewelry!  I need to try this out when I have a special occasion and just need the right bag to match it with but don’t want to make the full on investment for a new bag.
t+j Designs Necklace, Bracelet, Ring – This druzy ring is one of our newest designs!  It comes in 3 colors along with matching necklace and bracelets and will be available in our shop tomorrow.  Today (5/26) is the last day for our 15 for $15, tons of styles are selling out so we actually added 5 more styles to the mix so check it out and get some great pieces for only $15!

Lookbook: Faux leather and patterns

What I’m Wearing
Anthropologie Blazer – similar (on sale for $30!) super old but still a favorite.  I just have to show you guys this stripe blazer, isn’t it gorgeous?  Anthropologie has some great blazers now, love this lasercut blazer and this floral blazer.
SheInside Blouse – This is good for the time being but the quality is not great.  The button holes all have threads hanging out and the fit in the chest totally gapes but luckily was hidden with the bow.  I’m on the hunt for a better quality one, thinking about this one by Equipment.
Nordstrom Faux Leather Skirt -I’m all about the faux leather, I want to pair this skirt with everything!
Christian Louboutin pumps – mine are old but I’m currently eyeing these nude pumps and these pink ones!

Chanel iPhone case – if you follow me on instagram you may have seen it already but my sister and I had a couple extra of these to sell.  We actually sold out but I did have one person back out so if anybody else is interested, email me!  It fits the iPhone 5 and only one clear one available right now.

After my daughter was born I felt like I was in a total style rut (hence the total lack of blog updates and also other various life things that were/are going on).  Beyond just all the things that come with having a new baby, I just felt totally lost in how I could dress myself!  But I’m now getting back in the swing of things and enjoying my wardrobe again and putting together outfits.  It’s harder now because she’s eating solids and getting all sorts of food stains on herself and me (I think she finds it amusing to sneeze the moment I put a spoonful of carrots in her mouth) so I tend to bring a sweatshirt everywhere with me to cover what I’m wearing but other than that, stylewise, I am finally feeling a bit more like my pre-pregnancy self.

What I’m Wearing
Forever 21 Blazer – Found another cute polka dot blazer for only $18.  You could get the same look with this cute striped blazer.
Forever 21 Dress – do some print mixing with stripes or dots!
Chanel Pumps – not available online, these are similar, love the pointy toe.  Looove these gold metallic cap toes for a much better price point!
Chloe Mini Marcie – I never thought I’d get so much use out of a little red bag but I just adore this bag.  This Saint Laurent is a gorgeous red.  If you are wanting a “mini” bag, I’ve got my eye on the mini Pashli.  So cute! 
t+j Designs Necklace – we have new arrivals this week!  I’m completely obsessed with all our new bracelets.
Double band ring + Pave ring – I get asked all the time about where I got my double band ring, it’s so simple yet such a great ring for everyday wear!

If you’ve read my blog for awhile you know I love the mixing of the high and low items and this outfit definitely shows how you can save on your outfits and splurge on your accessories!  I love this checkerboard dress and is a favorite buy from Forever21!  I know, it’s a bit late in fall for this outfit again but I’d totally pair this with tights and boots as well.

Lookbook: Tulle & Chanel

What I’m Wearing
SheInside Blouse – I love the girly details of this blouse.  I’ve had pretty good luck thus far with my SheInside blouses, I also love this mint blouse and pretty lace blouse.
Ebay Tulle Skirt – I was on a hunt for a tulle skirt for awhile (I thought it might be cute to wear with a baby bump but I may be re-thinking that now. ha!) and could not find one in a decent price range until I randomly decided to look Ebay and there it was for cheap!  The quality actually isn’t that bad and it fits great so if you are looking for a tulle skirt, I highly recommend getting it from there!  I just saw that ModCloth has one for a good price and is a lot poofier than mine.
Manolo Blahnik Pumps – Mine have sequins on them which make them a bit fancy but I still wear them all the time.  Loving the studded versions too.

Maybe it’s the baby girl growing inside of me but I’m feeling extra girly these days 🙂  I know a tulle skirt isn’t the most practical of items but after seeing a few pictures on pinterest of girls wearing them, I just had to have one!
