I went to Target early on Saturday so I could shop the Victoria Beckham collection. I was so excited for this collab as I’ve always LOVED her amazing dresses but would never ever be able to buy them. I love that so many of the styles for this collab resembled her high end line.
Here’s my top 3 picks that I bought but I did end up buying a few more pieces AND ordering more online. I also bought a bunch for my daughter and she was so excited to see that she could be twinsies with mommy!
My last check most of these pieces were still available online so try to get them soon or check your local stores as I’m sure lots of people are doing returns now since you only have 14 days to return these items. Also unless noted, I’m wearing the size XS and the pieces run true to size.
So I think I was most excited about the scallop dress just because it was pretty much the same style as this one from her original line.
I think the quality of these pieces are really great for the price. This dress is a nice heavy weight knit that lays really nice. It hits me right above the knees which is a great length for me. The kid’s version comes in a blush pink which I think is so much cuter but really I didn’t mind the orange. I don’t own a lot of this color so I felt like it was a good addition to my closet.
The gingham top was unexpectedly one of my favorite pieces! I think I’m used to the smaller peplum hems but I love how this is a longer hem. I love how it “bubbles” out a bit more and makes it more girly and fun.
The rabbit collar dress is super cute on. I love that it’s just a simple and pretty dress but with fun details like the collar and the rabbit. This one comes in girl’s sizing too!
I kind of wonder why she chose orange to be such a big focus of her line. It is a pretty shade of orange but a bit unusual right? Anyway, I love this one shoulder bow dress but I found that it ran a bit bigger than the rest of her items.
I love this fuschia and I really wanted to try on the pants but they didn’t have my size and I didn’t end up ordering them as I think they would just be too long on me. This dress is gorgeous and I love the hem. The only thing I didn’t really love is the slight cap sleeve. I mean, it’s not even really a sleeve but it’s also not really like a tank/shift dress. I don’t know why but I just didn’t love the curve of the sleeve so I didn’t end up buying this one. I didn’t try on the drop waist dress but I did order it so hoping that it will be cute on!
This dress is the same style as the scallop one above just with the print. I adore it but I thought the print made it look a bit child like – which I was surprised that they didn’t do a version for girl’s/toddler’s.
This bomber and the matching shorts are so cute! I love the color and the feel of the fabric. They didn’t have my size but they did have this in kid’s XL which is what I’m wearing here. It fits great and maybe a little shorter than the women’s XS but I think it’s still very cute on. There are so many cute pieces for kid’s so if you are my size, look out for the kid’s XL, you can probably get some cute stuff if you weren’t able to get it in the women’s sizing!
I shopped a lot of the Missoni pieces (well as much as I could) and I loved that collab but I kind of think I love this one more! The pieces are a lot more wearable and great quality. I’m still waiting on my online order so if I end up loving anything else, I’ll come back and update this post!
It is so hard to get dressed up in the winter. I mean I think we can all appreciate staying in our pajamas all day with our hair in a pony tail, am I right? But there are times when I just want to get dressed up and out with friends! I went on a dress hunt for some dressy but not too dressy dresses – if that makes any sense. I wanted to be able to wear these to a party but also just out to dinner with friends if I wanted.
Here’s my little haul! And I apologize about the awful color of the photos. The weather has been so terrible so getting any kind of light to shoot in has been the worst.
Maggy London Women’s Tri Color Lace Fit and Flare
I adore this tri color lace dress! I think it’s so simple but pretty with the three colors of lace. It’s actually a lot easier to dress down than you think. I already have worn it with a cozy cardigan, navy tights and ankle booties. I’m wearing the size 2 and it fits great but I’m usually a size 0 so I would size up for this one.
Blu Pepper Floral Printed Swiss Dot Fabric Dress
This brand is super affordable and has really cute pieces! I love long sleeve dresses and this one is definitely a keeper. I had to shop this brand more after getting this piece. This navy one with the dots is also really cute and already in my cart! Wearing a size small.
Donna Morgan Women’s Bell Sleeve Sheath
Oh bell sleeves. I have such an obsession with them! I love the lace details on this dress but wasn’t in love with the fit so this went back. I’m wearing a size 2 which ran a bit big in the waist and hips for me. I would have kept it if it fit!
Somedays Lovin Women’s Crystal Visions Lace Dress
This one just wasn’t doing anything for me. Way cuter in the photos but just way too much going on for me. Also this is the XS but I felt like it was so big. I just think it will work for someone taller and thinner than I am as it’s just a bit much for a petite frame. When you order online there is always going to be a dud! That’s why I always order a bunch of stuff and then return it. I love that about Amazon as they make returns so easy.
BB Dakota Women’s Petite Adelina Lace Fit N Flare Dress
I love the color and the fit of this dress. I also loves that it comes in a petite fit. I’m wearing the 2 petite and it runs true to size. Such a pretty color and it looks great paired with black tights and boots.
Here’s what I tried on and a few other dresses that I’m eyeing!
UPDATE: A few of the pieces below are now on sale! Scroll down as I noted which ones and how much they are on sale for.
It’s been awhile since I’ve shopped in an actual store. Online shopping is the best thing ever! But, there’s just something about going to Nordstrom and trying on clothes that I will always enjoy. Like I said it had been awhile since I had been shopping and I found SO many good things to try on. I picked my favorites to share with you guys and I actually brought most of it home!
This sweater is on the top of my list of favorites. I mean, the stripes and the lace back, it’s so me! I saw online that it comes in 3 other colors which I may have ordered another 🙂
Hello sweater season! I’m so happy to pull out sweaters again. I’ve been looking for a cozy turtleneck sweater and love this one! It comes in a few other colors, I just ordered the pink online.
I know, another striped sweater. I definitely don’t need another one but this one has a peplum bottom! I mean, it’s just different enough than all my other 500 striped sweaters. LOL. It’s not the best photo of it but trust me, it’s so much cuter in person.
Nothing super special about this one but sometimes I just want a comfy sweater that’s cute and I can throw on with jeans and boots. I love the slouchy boyfriend fit and it’s a super comfortable knit material.
I’m all about pretty flowy blouses like this and the simple print. It’s
just one of those tops that can work well for work or play! I plan on
pairing it with my favorite leather leggings.
I’m
obsessed with Olivia Palermo’s style. Girl always looks amazing! Of course I love all her pieces in her collab with Chelsea 28. These tie neck tops
are so cute and I love the prints!
OK so I have a million off the shoulder tops and this one is so summery but I couldn’t resist the color and the fact that it was on sale. I did bring it home but it will stay tucked away until next spring!
I did find a cute fall off the shoulder top. I love that this one is a really lightweight fabric and is really comfortable. Sometimes long sleeve off the shoulder tops can feel really constricting but this one was easy to move around in.
I wasn’t really going to pick up a dress as I haven’t been in the mood to wear dresses lately but this cute little dress
caught my eye so I had to try it on. Turns out it’s just the cutest
dress ever! I love the cut out as well as the bell sleeves. The length
is a little short which works for me since I’m short but I think it will
also look really cute with leggings underneath!
UPDATE: This dress is now on sale for 50% off! Yay!
Can you tell I really enjoyed some child-free, husband free shopping? LOL I never get to try on this many clothes when I’m with them so I definitely took advantage! But it was great, I feel like I got some great fall pieces and am excited to start wearing them. I’m sure you’ll see them in some outfit posts pretty soon.
My brother is getting married in Costa Rica next month! I’m so excited for the wedding and just getting away to a gorgeous tropical vacation! I still trying to decide what to wear so I bought a ton of dresses online and wanted to share with you what I am deciding between. I wanted something appropriate for a wedding but also not too dressy as they have emphasized that they want everyone to be comfortable and also that it will be on the beach so heels would not be recommended. I also didn’t want to spend a lot of money so tried to stay around $100-$150. I haven’t yet decided on shoes but most likely will be in flat sandals and then wedges later on for the reception.
Dress 1: This lace skater dress is so so cute! I love the lace and the scallops and how the skirt is just the right amount of poofiness. I’m not leaning towards this one since we will be in Costa Rica I would rather have some color but I had to get it and try it on as I loved it online and I love it even more in person. I may have to keep it and just wear it for another occasion.
Dress 2: This dress might be a bit too casual but I like having just a basic dress to add accessories to. I love this pink and think it will be really pretty with a tan.
Dress 3: This fit & flare dress is so cute and combines the things I like about the first two, the color and the lace! However I just didn’t feel like it was very flattering on me so I am taking this one back. It is currently on sale though!
Dress 4: This midi dress is my favorite out of the bunch. I love the big floral pattern and the midi length. Also great that it’s cotton as Costa Rica will be hot hot hot. AND it was on sale for 40% off! It’s at the top of my list!
I just got these dresses in the mail this weekend and didn’t have a chance to photograph them on.
This jeweled drop waist dress is so pretty and it’s only $55! And this blue lace dress is really pretty on. I love the cut out back and also that it comes in petite sizing. This little pink dress
is a cute option for a more basic dress like the 2nd one from above but
I like that this one gives more shape and is not as casual.
I have the original Naked palette, Naked 3 and now the Smoky Palette. I never ended up getting Naked 2 as the colors weren’t different enough for me to want it compared to these 3 palettes where I think there is enough color differences between each palette.
I have to say that I love the new packaging. My original Naked palette, although it is the oldest, is not looking so great. I’m a sucker for packaging, especially with makeup so it’s just one of those things that I consider when I get new makeup.
I am not super awesome at makeup but I do try and my tiny Asian eyes are not so great at working with eyeshadow but after watching several youtube videos, I’m getting the hang of it so am really enjoying playing around with a smoky eye.
I don’t have a lot of time to watch youtube videos so I’ve been making time by playing them on my phone while I’m getting dressed, doing my makeup and hair in the mornings. It inspires me to have fun with my makeup. I am obsessed with Sophia of Fashionista804 – love this tutorial as I do tend to go for more simple looks on a daily basis.
The palette itself lives up to all of the previous Naked palettes. Urban Decay’s color payoff is always amazing. The color is exactly what it looks like in the pans and it goes on smoothly and if I use the primer, the color stays on my lids all day. I like that the whole palette isn’t just dark smoky shades. It has enough shades to do the smoky look but also a good amount of neutral shades to help create the pretty smoky eye that everyone loves as well as a pretty every day look. I can never use black eye shadow well, it tends to look a bit harsh on me so I like the dark gray and purple shade next to the black to help me create the smoky look.
And although I wish I was good at video tutorials, I’m not. So, here’s one of my faves, Jen of From Head to Toe with a fabulous tutorial with this palette. And yes I’m totally bias, I always look for girls with similar eye shapes as mine so if you’d like to look for someone more similar to your eye shape, there’s tons of amazing tutorials on youtube just search “Urban Decay Naked Smoky” and you’ll probably find one that you love too.
DISCLAIMER: THE URBAN DECAY SMOKY PALETTE WAS SENT TO ME BY THE BRAND. ALL OPINIONS ARE MINE.
I really can’t believe that 2015 is almost over. I think I say this every year, except now that I have a little one, the year goes by so fast. We stayed home the last two New Year’s when Layla was still a baby but this year, we are getting a sitter and going out for the night! I am already planning my outfit and of course my hair and makeup are just as important to plan, otherwise I end up hating my makeup and wanting to re-do it. I got some AMAZING products from Loxa Beauty that will be perfect for my New Year’s Eve look. I already pulled some inspiration from pinterest and can’t wait to pull it all together!
This set of mini polishes is perfect for the holiday season. I’m always one for the accent or glitter nail so I love the options of the silvers with the reds.
Now, I haven’t yet decided which nail polish to go with yet but I may paint my nails ahead of time to save some prep time, because let’s be honest here and I’m horrible at time management and I’m always applying makeup/painting nails as I run out the door. This nail kit promises a perfect looking manicure for 7 days!
I am all about mixing shades of lip colors and I love these two together. Alone they are great colors for practically any skintone but together they create a really pretty nude with the perfect amount of shine from the gloss.
Can I first talk about this packaging? I love how pretty the box is! I like to give my hair some deeper treatment every once in awhile to help repair it and this is the perfect set. It comes with shampoo, cream rinse and intensive treatment. My hair (and I’m sure everyone else’s) is easier to style and manage when it’s healthy. I try not to use too many heat treatments but I do love my flat iron…
Which leads me to this amazing flat iron, that makes my hair so shiny and smooth, I don’t
know what I did without it before! It also does an amazing job at
curling your hair, I use my flat iron to create curls/waves more than a
curling iron as I like to more relaxed/wavy look it gives me.
I’m such a hair product junkie. Every time I read the descriptions I feel like I NEED to have it. Well the Hair Shaker is a liquid to powder finishing texturizer which is exactly what I need when styling my hair. It’s my new favorite product. I definitely need a bit of texture when I curl my hair so this gives it just enough to hold the curl. And of course we all need a good hairspray and this “ultra freeze spray” definitely does it’s job. It’s holds the style for hours and doesn’t make your hair extra crunchy.
Make sure to check out Loxabeauty.com for all of these products. I loved working with them, they were so nice and the products shipped super fast and packaged really well!
I’m so excited the weather is cooling down a bit! I went shopping and got some great stuff that I will be wearing from the summer to fall transition so wanted to share! I actually filmed a new video for my youtube channel so you can watch it here but I will go through everything I bought below as well. I did some shopping at Nordstrom, Forever 21 and also wanted to show you some of my favorite fall pieces from my line, t+j Designs.
I ended up having to exchange this dress because one of the sleeves had a button missing but I still love it! They didn’t have my size in store so it’s in the mail on it’s way to me. That’s why I don’t have a photo of it on.
I just got back from our first large wholesale tradeshow in Las Vegas (MAGIC if you happen to know tradeshows). And we showed our fall collection which included this super cute and flattering set. Honestly, everyone that I’ve seen wearing this set looks fantastic.
Yes, I know a bit more of a summery top but it’s great for the transition to fall when it’s still warm during the day and you can wear it with shorts or a skirt and then just pair it with jeans when it cools down at night. I just love the pom pom detail!
I love our graphic tees but our newest ones are too darling I can’t handle it. The pink glitter of the rose all day and everyone has been loving our “you had me at merlot” tee!
There were a few more things that I mentioned in the video but I don’t have a photo of. Let me know if you have any suggestions/requests of any other videos you’d like me to make!
